I will never use this Firestone location or and Firestone locations again. I had a flat tire and the car didn’t come with a spare. I removed it and took to this location. I was told there was a leak that needed to be patched. A few days later it was flat again Removed the tire and brought it back. A different manager showed me that there was no patch. He accused me of bringing in a different tire then told me the tire actually couldn’t be repaired because of the leak location. They charged me for a repair that was never done. This is not only fraud it is dangerous. My attempts to talk to management was futile.
I am super happy and grateful with the service that I received from Pauley and his team yesterday, 12/27/24. I have had not great experiences with this firesone location in Scotia, but Pauley said they are under new management now and you can tell! I got a flat tire yesterday morning, I called them in a panic as soon as they opened, Pauley got me in and got me fixed up first thing upon opening + i was back on the road within the hour. I was super grateful and thankful!!! Huge thanks to Pauley + team!!!

Had 4 new tires put on my vehicle. Had a quote from the dealer and went I called Firestone to get a quote it was less expensive and the tire, the tire they recommended was going to give me more mileage and they were very thorough in explaining the tire costs. When I brought my car in they informed me about additional services that I should be aware of with my mileage. Since I normally go to the dealer with my general service, I didn't need the various checks. Corey was extremely helpful and very professional. If I decide to change to anyone else beside the dealer, I will go to Firestone! Thanks Corey
Get the road hazard protection I had a screw in my tire and it saved me a ton of money The staff here were so helpful and I'm forever SOO APPRECIATIVE for it! THANK YOU! Also they got me right in and they didn't have to; cory another employee ( I forgot his name 😔) were great staff and very knowledgeable and Paul was the one who changed my tire and did it super fast and he is great at his job!
Me and my husband used this location for years. Never again. I was up until midnight with friends working on my car door last night. About 6 months ago I paid for a door handle, and they replaced the WRONG one. Due to it being the wrong one after about 5 months I started having issues with my door not locking. Before that we brought his car to get a simple oil change and you can see the picture below, that’s how we got the car back. They denied all responsibility even after we went to the gas station next door and saw footage. They misdiagnosed a head gasket issue that caused me to replace my entire engine. This store is a nightmare and the amount of money we have had to shell out to them for no reason is honestly disgusting. We didn’t even want money back we just wanted things fixed. But due to Firestone not having cameras and the claims adjuster not being able to prove when the damage was done, they denied our claim and it’s just another thing we will have to pay for on their error. Do. Not. Come here unless you have extra money to fix their mistakes. Not the same quality as a few years ago.

very disappointed! Called Friday made appt for following Wed (today) to have AC maintenance, oil change & tire rotation. Mind you its 1 hr drive, also. Arrived early, went in but 3 cars ahead if me, no biggie. Sat in parking lot 30 minutes when female comes ask me to pop my hood. I did. Shes says oh this isnt good! On further to tell me they dont have the machine to do the AC maintenance. She called her manager & he sent me too Clifton Park. Mind you, not from here and got totally lost. Arrived back home 3 hours later with no service done on my car at all! Question is, why did they schedule me too begin with. Not happy!

This location is sooo reliable, I wont be taking my car anywhere else! I always worry about taking my car to certain places because most will take advantage and over price. I heard rattling on my drive into work today, called this location and Corey told me to bring it right in. Within 20mins, problem solved! Im so grateful for Corey and his team

I had an appointment for 7 am had to call to get update around 11 am about my car for them to tell me they were replacing my battery and it would cost 450.00 waited for call to let me know service was done and arrived 5 mins after closing to find my car in the parking lot open and no way to get my car. I asked employee who was leaving location about my car his response was he didn t work in my car and the manager left early. I then questioned why I was not contacted and he still could not give me a reason. So he calls boss while in front of me to say he will lock my car and I waited for the man to comeback and he didn t . Absolutely the worst auto shop I have ever dealt with. Make appointment for what and they don t even service your car on time won t use these place ever again
Ive just had my car serviced and the manager cory was super,he walked me through everything and explained all that was going to happen and was polite and knowledgeable I wish I could give him 10 stars definitely found my new spot
I had an unbearable shaking in my Volvo wagon. I just installed new rotors and pads and couldnt nail down where it was coming from. Tabatha talked me through all the possible issues starting from the most basic upwards. After they test drove it and made sure all the simple stuff was square they found I had some play in my lower control arm. I think great here we go. Ill have to schedule an appointment for two weeks out, take off time from work... Yada yada ... But NOPE. They had the part ready to go and installed that day! Alignment, tire check, bing bang boom... Im out the door. Price was absolutely fair and on par for a QUALITY job. Thanks again Tabatha, Jason and all the mechanics at Firestone. Ill absolutely be back!

Tabatha and the crew around her was absolutely excellent!!! They let me drop the car off and they plugged my tire. But as they jacked up the car a spring in the rear suspension just fell right off! At first I was skeptical, but Tabatha showed me the spring and explained the situation. Though it was really expensive and I was frustrated with a sudden big bill, her and the men around her were amazing people and just made an unpleasant situation a joy!!! Not only were they good to me but their interactions with each other was awesome!!! My skepticism was put to rest as I have been driving my car around I noticed it is noticeably different!!! It felt so smooth and so much better than it has since I can remember! So they do excellent work for sure!!!

Had a positive experience here when I desperately needed tires in early winter when I couldn t find another place to fit me in. However today I had the opposite experience. I scheduled a state inspection last week for today at 3. When I arrived at 3 the individual working there said the person that does inspections was not in today. He said he could do the inspection if I could be patient with them as it would take a FEW HOURS???!! i told them I couldn t do that as I had other things to do,hence the appointment. I get it things happen but you either contact people to let them know or you figure out how to accommodate the customer. I went to another garage in town and will go with them from now on.
If you are having an emergency on the road and need assistance please head here before any other shop in the area. We had a tire puncture on the highway and tried multiple places for getting our tire replaced so we can head home. Firestone was the only shop open with a mechanic working and with availability. The staff was extremely professional in helping us figure out what we needed during an emergency situation. They did not upsell me but gave me the information and time to make my own informed decision. They were extremely helpful in making sure I received the best deal and that I had only what was needed. I saw the staff handle multiple customers in other stressful situations and they all clearly motivated to provide just the right service required. (Thanks again for bailing us out of a tight spot when no one else could!)

I would like to give a HUGE shoutout to Corey & Tabatha at this location. I have been here multiple times and have always received good service, it is the only place I go now as they make me feel comfortable and not taken advantage of as a young female. Tabatha is wonderful & very kind, and takes her time to explain things to you. Corey is excellent at what he does and is very knowledgeable. I originally had an appointment to get my car worked on and dropped it off. My parents picked me up, and as we pulled away, my parents car broke down (turns out their axle snapped in half). Corey, Tabatha & Paulie came out to look at it, and helped my father push the car back to the shop. They ended up fixing my parents car, and were still able to get the work done on mine as well. My dad was very impressed with their work, and with their fair pricing. I recommend this Firestone location to everyone. Thank you for making stressful & confusing situations a little bit better.

An oil change should not take 2 hours to do. What s the point of making an appointment if you over book time slots and can t keep up. Scheduled appointment for 4pm oil change was told about an hour wait brought my kids to the park right next to it. Got back to Firestone around 5:15-5:20 car just being raised, called my husband to grab our kids and my car is now just being lowered. If you have things to do after do not make an appointment here, this isn t my first time making an appointment and usually it takes around an hour for the oil change and when I got 1 tire replaces it took them about 2 hours

I have used this Firestone location since Lance was at the location and never had a bad experience during his tenure. I stopped using the location after he left due to a drop in quality and poor customer service. I have started using them again since Tabatha has been at the location and it feels like it used to again. The customer service is fantastic again and their service overall is as trustworthy and quick as it had been. Absolutely recommend this location as long as you are dealing with Tabatha.

I only gave a 4 out of 5-star satisfaction rating because, currently, there seems to be a staffing problem at the shop. However, the people and the service received were very good, once they could squeeze me in. Under normal staffing conditions I have not had any complaints. I have used this Firestone location for servicing my vehicles for many, many years and would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a facility to use for automotive repairs, maintenance and inspection services.
This location is absolutely awful. I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change and wheel alignment check and It came out with front end damage on the bumper (looks like they clipped something pulling it in the bay) and they denied all responsibility saying that they don t have cameras and it wasn t them, The gas station next-door had proof otherwise and I m still in the process of having it fixed. Avoid this location at all cost definitely not the same quality as a couple years ago.

Did an alignment and the steering wheel is not not straight when driving it was way off and the say thats the best they could do and cannot do anything about it.. It has been 3 days Im driving it like this now, not safe it is throwing me off track..

I brought my car in to get fixed expecting it to take at least a day or two for what was needed, Cory and his crew knocked it out in a couple hours and I was able to pick it back up the same day!
Great store. Service was very fast and they told me exactly what they were doing and why. I came back to get an inspection and it was so quick. I also was able to keep myself busy by grabbing a snack at the store next door.
I brought my 2014 sonata in for the nys inspection and was more than happy. Adam was knowledgeable and polite, he informed me of a minor problem but advised it was under warrantry and Hyundai dealership should fix for free. They also replaced burnt out brake light at no charge. Happy to have this good, honest auto repair close to home
Very reliable shop with fantastic customer service. We took my car down today due to a noise and I was still concerned after picking it up, Angel assisted me and explained to me why the sound would still be there, put the car back on the lift to show us the issue, and reassured me the car was safe to drive. I truly appreciated his assistance and he really went above and beyond. I would recommend this Firestone to anyone.
The gentleman who helped me was very polite and thorough. They were short staffed and although he recently started, he was the only one working and still kept an upbeat attitude and great professionalism. Sham I cant remember his name.

I really was hoping for a much better experience (and review here) after my wife had a very pleasant one when she purchased and installed four tires for her vehicle a couple of months back. I drive the same vehicle make and model, so I walked into the shop last week to place the order and make an appointment. I was assured the tires were in stock and even though I was dropping off the vehicle early in the morning, I was told it only takes a couple of hours. I dropped off the vehicle around 8am Friday and added on the comprehensive inspection as I had some concerns about my brake life. 3:30pm rolls around and I havent heard from the shop. I give them a call and am told my vehicle is up on the lift and it would be about another hour. I live close to the shop so I walked in with my wife around 5:00pm (an hour before closing) to see my vehicle was still on the lift and the new tires were not yet on it. I was told by the service adviser that the vehicle was nearly done, 5-10 minutes tops. My wife made a point to say there still werent tires on it to which the adviser replied verbatim (and this is not an exaggeration) well you have to take the old ones off before putting the new ones on. The adviser is lucky I didnt hear that exchange because I would have demanded a manager or supervisor on site. The adviser didnt seem to care that my entire day was wasted and blamed it on only having one guy in the shop. That would be no problem if that was communicated to me at any point throughout the day. I was also told they needed to get another tire shipped because they didnt have enough, even though the very same adviser told me they were in stock earlier in the week. Why wasnt the stock checked before I left my vehicle in the morning? Why didnt I receive a phone call at any point during the day to convey that another tire had to be delivered? Why didnt the morning adviser tell me they only had one person on staff that day so it might take a bit longer to get the job done. The real kicker was when I inquired about the comprehensive inspection, which I paid extra for. The adviser left me with little to no satisfaction that it was even done. He flipped through many pages on a iPad to find the results of the inspection and when I asked for a printout of their findings, he told me it was internal and he couldnt print it out. About 30 minutes later I received an email with the inspection results which leads me to believe one of two things. 1) the adviser has no idea what went on with my vehicle 2) the inspection never happened and an email was sent to me just to appease me. Im happy I did not purchase the road hazard package on my tires because I will likely never walk through their doors again. UPDATE: I was told by Firestone I would hear from the store manager within a couple of days... that was 3 1/2 weeks ago. All the more reason to avoid this shop as their management clearly isnt interested in your feedback.
I went to Firestone in Scotia for an auto inspection on 11/27/2023. I was informed that my car had failed inspection because my brake pads and rotors needed to be fixed and that it would cost $877 for the total bill. In light of that, I chose to take my car to my usual mechanic instead of having the repair done at Firestone. Before I left Firestone, I was informed that they would have to remove the previous inspection sticker on my car because the car had failed inspection. After my mechanic checked my car he told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes, and that they were in great shape. He was very surprised that Firestone had failed my car for that reason. When I took my car elsewhere for inspection, it passed without a hitch. I have completely lost trust in Firestone of Scotia and will certainly not recommend this establishment to other customers.

I have bad experience with store managers I get charge with service I don t have to pay I ask for service done for 4 pad brakes and Rotors but they don t do t they do only front pad and Retors charge me more what I accepted to pay . I need service be done.
This place is a ripoff. They tried to charge me for an estimate until I called the corporate office. Several years ago they tried to lift my Ford E250 van by the rivet seal on the body, apparently not knowing the difference between a unibody and a vehicle with a frame. And to boot, they didnt even admit they made a mistake, they just hope I didnt notice. Avoid this place like the plague. Or covid, take your pick

Rude and racist place! They tell you to make an apppointment. I did that i get there for a car inspection now all of sudden i need to leave my car there when i asked on the phone how long will it take. I got up early and the guy who checks you acted like who cares you have to work. It was only 1 car in the air. Why would my car take hours if i made an appointment and its a 30 minute test ( that they take a hour to do). Worst firestone i ever been to and ive been to atleast 4 in different cities and states. Never again! I guess only the white people get speedy service there.

The new manager is unbelievably terrible. He failed both parts of my inspection AND charged me $21. The quote he gave me was $1,300+ to fix everything with me car. OUTRAGEOUS.
Very important review please read! As a well known tire place, this Firestone can t do the only task they re really supposed to be good at, but anyway I had gone into Firestone for them to swap my tires to new rims and have them reset my psi gauges, in the end they butchered my wheels, broke off every single stud that held the wheel on for my front driver side, and took a good chunk out of my brand new rim, as well as broke maybe lug nuts trying to supposedly put them back on, over all this is a butcher shop if a tire place, this does not deserve the Firestone name and I highly highly don t recommend going here, if 0 stars was an option I d pick that instead. Just an FYI go to Randy s tires across from Mohawk ave, I d give him 5 stars all around he knows exactly what he s doing/talking about have a lot of trust in that man, and Firestone made me nervous to drive my car while Randy made me feel confident. Again DO NOT go to Firestone on Mohawk ave, go to Randy s tires across from Mohawk Honda.
this place is a rip off. I will be taking this office to the better buisness bearu. I bought 4 tires and life time balancing from fire stone at this location. after my initial purchase I had my tire ballance a few times after with a zero charge a new manager takes over now, when I went there to get my car alignment done and the balancing and rotation this time. the manager told me that I have to pay for new balancing so he didnt do it. however I ask him a question what will it cost for an oil change and he said $125. all I did was finding out the price for an oil change. I never requested I wanted it done for I recently put in the Castrol 20,000 mile platinum oil in my car and its only 3300 miles on the oil. I would have change my oil at 10k which I always do with the expense 20k platinum Castrol oil that i was using.. the manager said he did an oil change on my car while it was in the shop for a wheel balancing appointment which the wheel balancing was never done,where as I didnt went for an oil change I went for a wheel ballance. the manager offer to give me the oil change for free seen that he realized I just ask for price and I never requested I wanted it. however I insisted of paying for it for I dont want anything for free even though he changes out my good oil without me asking for the service. I feel its the right thing to do if someone provides a service to pay for it so i paid $125. but the problem is I never get my wheel balancing done which I had life time wheel balancing for i left the shop without getting my wheel balancing done on my car and paid for an unnecessary oil change which i didnt wanted. this place does not run on principle the are a rip off weather its one penny involves I feel the need that I should not be robed and thats what this place does. . the previous manager Lance was a good man he has retired i will not be returning to this place again. this place does not run on basic principles of fairness now.. they will screw you over like they did to me.
Went this place 2 weeks ago because My check tire light kept coming on. Firestone technician never reset it right the first time. Then I notice my inspection up they never even told me. I called today to ask why they didnt tell me the inspection was up. The person on the phone was rude and said because they didnt have stickers. I would not recommend this place to any one. The old Manger was better. They still have my last name spelled wrong in the their system.
My husband went today to get an NYS inspection. They claimed my entire power steering system needs replacing and some other things, resulting in a bill of 4g. Never had any power steering problems ever, no symptoms. Called a friend, who called his family mechanic to look at my car. The honest mechanic says theres absolutely nothing wrong with your car, it looks like they smeared oil all over your power steering, to make it seem like its leaking and your battery is unplugged. Are you serious? How corrupt is that?? He couldnt pass my inspection bc they unplugged my battery and he will pass it tomorrow. Dont go there!! They are cons!!
Firestone of Scotia has truly supplied me with tires, inspections and oil changes religiously over the past 16+ years and I have not a one complaint. They have effective communication and speed and the best is how accommodating they will make your life. They have always given me the choice of dropping off or waiting for my vehicle as well as free balance and rotation of tires with purchase. This is a crucial element I have found o er the years. Sweet people that will not rip you off. How can you ask for more ?? Go there. ASAP I can guarantee 95% of you are in desperate need of an oil change like yesterday.

My brakes suddenly stopped working on my way to Albany from Rochester for business. I had the car towed here not knowing about the negative reviews of the new manager. Roman claimed my emergency parking brake was stuck on and totally wore out the rear caliper motors, rotors, and brake pads. All communication with Roman was done via phone. I was driven home to Rochester the next day and my car was fixed and ready to be picked up after the weekend. I had to rent a car to drive back here from Rochester on Halloween because Roman actually said on the phone he really wanted to get this one in before end of month. I didn t think much of it but now I think he was trying to pad his monthly sales numbers. When I got there the brakes still did not function properly, it seemed they fixed nothing! I white knuckle drove the almost 4 hours back to Rochester and took it to the dealership I bought it from. Issue was the brake booster vacuum pump. I specifically asked Roman if that could be the issue after some internet searches and he said it was fine! My dealership fixed the problem under warranty and they thought I got hosed for the $1,600 in work that probably wasn t needed (car under 30k miles). I called Firestone corporate to open a case shortly after and have heard nothing back yet after almost two months. Absolute joke of a company with a crook as the manager of this store. I will be exploring my legal options.

Went for an inspection, the inspector was standing in the lobby and offered to do the inspection right then and there so we wouldnt have to worry about leaving it there all day. They did not tell me that I needed new anything or try to upcharge me. Customer service was on point.
Yes they are more expensive then a lot of places but the guys are always wonderful and my work is guaranteed.

Fixed tire holes but 1 tire had 2 nails was told second hole not fixable. Went to another place - they fixed that hole
They released my car to me stating it wasnt freezing upon stopping. 1,000 dollars later... 2nd time I slow down it freezes up. I almost got rear ended with my daughter in the car. I reiterated to Lance and a female employee when I dropped it off that I needed the freezing up issue addressed before anything else. And here we are. New tires on a car that dosnt drive

I come here regularly for a fleet Vehicle (company car) maintenance. This is not my own car and I am not paying for it. With that said, Ive had excellent experiences every time I come here. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and professional. Especially Lance, who I seem to always have the pleasure of running into. I work on my personal vehicles myself, but if I ever run into a job I cant tackle Ill probably come here 1st.

I had a appointment this morning for tires I told them I would be back around 12 on my lunch break to pick up my car. I got there at 1:30 p.m. and they tell me they didnt even look at my car yet. Why schedule appointment if you cannot keep them? Also if there was a problem or something give me a call and let me know. Or they just forgot? I will not use or recommend them to anyone ever again. Save yourself the aggravation and time.

Lance and Duane took very good care of me today. Lance was very friendly and professional and made me feel welcome and as though I was the only customer in the store. Even though he was busy he even took the time to draw a picture to help me understand the problem that I was having with my car. Although he wasnt able to preform the work my car needed he provided me with a very detailed invoice of the information that he had gleaned that I could provide to the next mechanic. Lance and Duane also provided me with a very practical opinion on the car and how likely I was to get more time out of it with the recommended work. They were very thorough and very very kind. I felt that they were honest and frank with me and I appreciated that very much. I would definitely recommend them and return in the future. Their kindness and professionalism was really appreciated, having car trouble is very stressful. They also didnt make any assumptions about my financial situation when presenting my options.

They fixed my vehicle in a fairly timely manner, but there was something wrong with the heat in their showroom... so I got to wait for over an hour in a 40 degree showroom. It was pretty cold! Customer service was great though.

I have had generally good work done here. There have been times when they have said they cannot do certain things and that I should go to a dealership otherwise they could ruin my vehicle.

My family and I have been going to these mechanics for years. Everyone that weve dealt with has been very professional and friendly. You can make an appointment for an oil change or to get new tires and youll be off within the hour. Or if you need some work done because your car crapped the bed at 1am you can always tow it there and leave your information and key in the envelope provided by the night drop slot. They have always called after looking at the car to give their assessment and estimates. No big surprises on your bill at pickup- they only do the work with your approval first. Usually the car is ready fairly quickly... even when I needed extensive engine work, my car was good to go after 3 days. Only downside is that, because its a corporation rather than a small autobody place, the hourly rate for their mechanics is pretty high. So the work is good but its on the expensive side.

Just OK. Ordered a tire for next day. Never got a call to say it was in. Called late morning to find it was there and I had an appointment? Dropped off the car and was told they werent sure when they would get to it. The appointment didnt matter. Car was not finished after almost 2 hours. Would not let me pay until the car was out of the garage.
I made an online appointment, when I went to store for my appointment they denied the service and didnt even bother to apologize for inconvenience.
Made an online appointment for a tire rotation. The shop even accommodated pushing my appointment back. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Staff were friendly and waiting area was comfortable.

I just purchased tires, had an oil change and new filters installed. at the Firestone store on Mohawk Avenue in Scotia, NY. The service extended by Joe, the new manager, was exceptional. I followed him to Scotia from their Clifton Park store for that very reason. He exhibits patience, knowledge of their products and actually listens to our concerns. I recommend you drop in an meet Joe soon so he will know you, too, when you know your automobile needs some TLC. You will be glad that you did..
RUINED MY TRANSMISSION! You should stick to just tires. I had a very small leak in my transmission lines with no slipping of my transmission, this wasnt even the reason I took my car to a mechanic. I took my car to Firestone in Scotia, NY. They replaced the lines which were not replaced correctly and I had to bring it back in on two separate occasions. This time with my transmission slipping and still leaking fluid at each appointment. They supposedly fixed everything and since then I have had to rent a car two times and bring it to two different mechanics that blatantly said Firestone has no idea what theyre doing. Currently my car is at a transmission specialist. I have contacted the claims department three times and they have not returned my calls in almost a month. FIRESTONE RUINED MY TRANSMISSION AND THEY REFUSE TO DEAL WITH IT!!

After 3 visits & $700, our air conditioning was still not completely repaired. the following season when it didnt work at all again, they claimed that the leak must have occurred after their service and would not provide any refund. we had to take it to a dealer to have it done right.
