I purchased tire warranty for my 2022 car, went over a pot hole 2 weeks ago and the Dealer took 5 days to replace a tire. Today a metal object was stuck in my tire-went to Mavis 1598 State- I was done in a half hour! No more paying tire warranties/coverage for me. MAVIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Staff were kind and very understanding. Workers go beyond to make sure youre pleased with the service.

I only will go to this shop as they are USUALLY pretty good. NOT ON THE DAY I WENT - waited 3 hours for 2 front tires and an alignment. Honestly, they took me right in and there was 2 people in the lobby waiting as well. Tires were done within 1 1/2 hours, but the game playing started with waiting. The alignment machine was broke. Instead of telling me, they drove to another store to get the tool, they tried multiple things to get it working and kept me waiting. after close to 3 hours, I finally asked what was going on and wanted the car back. The good out of this is they gave me a free alignment the next day, again, waiting 1 1/2 hours. Anita was nice and apologetic, but the main manager could not give 2 craps about getting me in and out the next day - said I had to wait just like everybody else. Shame on him.

These folks are amazing!! I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Didn t know if it was a flat from a nail or something similar. They got me in right away, figured it was a small problem causing the leak. They fixed it and didn t charge me anything. They made a customer for life!

Dont go to the midas across the street. Just come to mavis! I brought my car with the same issue to both shops. Mavis handled it better, quicker and cheaper to put it shortly. The people there really respect the customer from everything Ive seen!

Came in with a nail in the sidewall of my tire. It was unfortunately unrepairable. My tire size is a hard one to find and store did not have one in stock, however, staff was able to call another store to have one delivered and installed all within time I was there.

THE MAIN GUY AT DESK IS A . Not only looked out for me for a tire but also went out of his way to find me a type c charger while I was there. He ended up using a fellow technicians charger who was also vocally happy to help provide it. They treated me like family so Imma have to say Mavis in Schenectady for sure. Ngr down the street made a big deal over lowering price $5 dollars for new tire, go to these guys instead.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Absolute crooks. Went in to get a new tire. They put a new tire on a rim they knew was cracked. I went back a few days later because the tire kept deflating and that s when they informed me the rim was cracked. They could ve said that in the beginning and saved me the time and money but instead I am now out the money for my tire but also need to get a new tire because the cracked rim destroyed it and the time and money I ve spent in between. These people have no business ethics and I will never be returning unless they re going to fully refund me for the tire and put on a new one. I don t see these thieves doing that. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Went there for a faulty valve stem that was installed in New Windsor NY 3 months ago. I was not looking for anything for free just was over 100miles away with my daughter. They refused because I had a 4wheeler in the back of the truck and did not want to put vehicle on the lift. I get it as I am also in the auto repair business, but it was my right front tire and they could have used a jack to lift the wheel and repaired it. Hello Im 10iles away from home!!! So I went across the street to Midas and they fixed it right away. I payed my bill and tipped the technician and left feeling safe again. To the staff at Midas I give you 5stars for saving the day.

Best experience I ve ever had with any auto repair shop. The techs and mechanics all work together to make sure that my car is safe for me to drive. They work fast and the manager introduced me to their financing options which really helped me out. 10/10 would definitely be coming back here for all my automotive needs. Staff is friendly and always having a good time while working. Seems to be a very healthy work environment. As for my car, the techs did a through check to make sure everything was good and told me what needed to be fixed and or replaced and it makes me feel like they actually care about my safety not just the paycheck they get at the end of the week. I sincerely thank all the techs and mechanics and the manager for being so kind and patient and courteous with me. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending all my friends and family to go to this store.

Went to get an alignment since it was still under warranty. Asked twice the wait time which was 15-30 minutes. Literally watched people with no appointment walk in and out within 20 minutes for the same thing. They didnt even touch my car until after an hour of me being here. Maybe because it was just me, but its pretty ridiculous, especially when the people that came in after me DIDNT have an appointment AND there was only 1 car ahead of me when I walked in. This place is hell...... Im still waiting to get my car back btw and were an hour and a half in.

Mavis, what can I say except I would like a gas card to be compensated for the gas for the four times I traveled to and from your location. My tire pressure light when on, I work two jobs and travel for one of them. My car is my livelihood so when the light came on I went here. It had good reviews so why not? I went in on Saturday and my car was serviced by Sean. Sean is amazing and if it wasnt for the rest of my experience, I would be coming back solely because of how amazing he was. They said I needed new sensors and that they would give me a discount. Perfect- what a deal. Turns out just to be a lot to DEAL with. The next day my tire pressure light started blinking and then stayed on. I called almost right away. Sarah answered. She said there is nothing they could could do and that I would have to come in on Monday morning. I explained that is not an option for me at I work from 8am to 8pm most nights. She said I could bring it in at 3:45 that day. I dropped my car off at 3:15 just incase they had time. My dad got a call 10 mins before close that they did not get to my car and I need to come pick it up. I live 15 mins away so they Assistant Manager, Austin, waited and said I have to come back in tomorrow. I again explain that I couldnt come in on Monday, I work. We made an appt for Saturday. Tuesday, my late night shift ended up being canceled so I was able to go in. Only to learn that them fixing my sensors only to 2 MINS! I explain how frustrating that was. It only took 2 mins and I find it hard to believe they didnt have the time. Sarah explained to me that they didnt take my car on Sunday because another person who had an appointment on Saturday came in after me to get something that was messed up corrected (HER WORDS NOT MINE). I once again got my sensors fixed and while I was not looking I all of a sudden and a flat tire. I got the valve fixed and was on my way. Until today, when my sensors came on AGAIN! I had to leave work in Voorheesville to go to Mavis in Schenectady because I needed my car today. I called and dropped my car off and waited. This time it took closer to 30 mins. I learned from Austin that the other technician that worked on it on Tuesday registered them to the wrong year. It was fixed and if it breaks again they would replace my sensors for free. AS SOON AS I TURN ON THE HIGHWAY THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND STAYED ON. I called and told them I will be back at 4pm for the sensors. I would love a refund for the initial $216 I spent. They shouldve just been replaced the second or third or done right the first time. But I will settle for just telling the people that stuck around long enough to read the entire review not to go. I know for a fact the Regional Manager will be there tomorrow (7/11/2024). So if you need something, I would go then. Also, RM I am waiting for your call. Be better. Do better.

Gave a 5 star review previously because they took money off my bill for doing so. Went there 2 days ago for rear brake work and walked out with a ridiculous estimate of over a thousand dollars! Went to a reputable mechanic and paid a third of that price. They will try to rip you off for their commission!! Dont go there unless you dont mind giving your money away!

Took my car for an inspection. There are no lights on the dashboard. There wasnt any noise or anything that would be of concern regarding the inspection. For an unknown reason, they tried to remove my wheels and ended up breaking a stud. After they broke the stud, they told me that I was going to be charged for fixing it. Definitely wont recommend this location unless you want to do some unnecessary spending.

Update: Came here at 8am Saturday morning after a mysterious ripped tire Friday night. I was able to get my tire replaced plus an alignment and oil change while I waited - and not all day. Glad these guys are here. This was so convenient and saved my weekend! Great and honest location. Supervisor and front desk ladies are great. They made me feel very comfortable. They replaced damaged rear shocks that were causing a spinning sound behind my back tire that I was told were probably the brakes. Previously, I had a bald tire and a damaged valve stem that that they replaced and repaired (the stem) as quickly and as cost effectively as possibly. I cant put in words how grateful I am that these guys are here, honest, and appropriately priced. I will be returning for all my car needs that they are able to service.
