Fast NYS inspection Thanks Sean

At this Monroe on Chrysler ave is a friendly environment. Everyone is kind and courteous. Very knowledgeable and informative. As a woman going in to service my vehicles they listen, educate and take their time to explain to each customer. They dont take advantage of their customers. Service is fast and always done right the first time. Importantly affordable. I cant praise them enough. Ed and his team are fantastic.

Inexperience workers, I don t know how this is a work shop and they can t fix anything. They couldn t pass my inspection because some things needed to be fixed but don t know how to fix it. Don t waste your time and money!

I brought my car in for a state inspection and was told I would have to replace the serpentine belt and the belt tensioner in order for the vehicle to pass inspection. Once the work was done, I was presented with a bill for nearly $600.00. I feel as though I was taken advantage of. I would be very hesitant of ever bringing my vehicle to this store ever again.

I went in for an oil change. I had a 5:00PM appointment. Counter guy, Sean, was pissy cause the appointment was not in his system and proceeded to tell me I would have to wait and they would get it done by close (7:00OM). After questioning if it took 2 hours to perform an oil change Sean gave me a dirty look and said, have a seat over there. After a few minutes I realize I didn t ask him what the cost for an oil change would be so I approached the counter and asked. Sean said, it depends on the oil you choose, and pointed to the picture with prices on the end of the counter. I told Sean I will take the every 3 month oil and returned to me seat. I watched the mechanic perform the oil change through the big window which was pretty cool and then Sean told me my car was done and asked if I want to settle up. At the counter he gave me the total and I asked if I could use this coupon which I showed him on my phone. Sean got even more pissy and said that s valvoline. I proceed to tell him I got this from the monro webpage where I made the appointment and he interrupted me and made a vague statement that didn t say if he would accept the coupon. I then started to ask Sean, how to sign up for VPERK$ but Sean interrupted me, started talking over me, and said, I just gotta get it out of here. At that time there was only 1 car in the shop and no new customers had arrived. I then said to Sean, you re the reason why women don t like to come to these places alone. I said, there s valvoline all over this shop. Are you taking my coupon or not? Sean did not scan my coupon but gave me more of a discount than the coupon. I asked him for his name, the name if the mechanic who worked on my car, took the paperwork and left. After arriving home I noticed the sticker has the date of the oil change May 3, 2024 and the mileage that was on the car at the time if the oil change. There is no mention on the sticker or my paperwork that stated what kind of oil was used to perform the oil change. This was a terrible experience which I will share with my friends and family, and I will never go back to monro.

I called to reschedule an appointment. He just asked me my last name. Didn t ask what service you need or phone number. I made sure to remind him to cancel the previous appointment and he said one second then he hung up on. I called again and he answered go ahead didn t even say hello. I asked him did you hung up on me. He said you rescheduled appointment that s it. All set. He was so rude and I don t want to deal so i hung up without any words since it s morning and too early for that. I just don t understand why people work as customer service with NO patient to deal with customers. It happened on April 15th 8:30am.

They fixed something that was dragging it took no time and with reason.

Get a oil change here and two days later my cars transmission is leaking, went back and they had nothing to do with it

2pm on Memorial Day and we called to say we were on the Thruway with a blown tire and we only had a donut so we couldn t get back to Buffalo. We were reassured they were open and had a tire in stock for us. When we pulled up, they met us at the door and said they would be done and have us out the door in five minutes! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!

Despite saying I did not need a wheel alignment at drop off and at quotation, I was charged for it in the end. I paid for a tire balance that was not completed. The brake service was fine, and the work was done quickly. I would not go back.

Eamon and Ed were instrumental in getting me the help that I needed. Upon my vehicle failing inspection, they worked out a good deal for me to get four new tires. As it stands now, AJ did a good job with the installation and alignment. Thank you for making a bad day a lot better.

Monro Muffler is one of the more reliable chain auto centers. This particular one is excellent and has a really kind staff. Prices are reasonable I guess, but it is a chain. Check the website for coupons.

Was treated to a quick and thorough service even though I threw a lot of work their way on my first visit. My car was fixed within a day and is working great. Talking with Eamon was easy and he was very communicative and kind when going over my issues. Would highly recommend if in need of a local mechanic.

Not good service. They have really inexperienced people and have an attitude the minute you enter. I was just there to do a state inspection and the answer of why it didnt pass was full of lies. All of the new oem parts where bought and put in the dealer so nothing was generic or used and no check engine light on. Told me that it was in no condition to pss however minutes later it passed on a different location. Was even checked back on another dealer to see what was wrong and they couldnt gind a thing. I dont care if the owner replies to this review and doesnt like it, they are are not honest.

We have a big family, 4 vehicles in all. Monroe services them all. Excellent, prompt, professional service...EVERY. TIME. Additionally, they do everything they can to give you the best service at the lowest price.

Had a wonderful experience with these folks. I broke down on a road trip outside Schenectady and after getting towed here, these guys helped me and my family in a tough situation. They were kind, professional, honest, resourceful, and did a great job fixing my car (water pump, belt, and coolant) for a fair price in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend to others!

I went to get an oil change last Thursday and the assistant manager Junior took care of my car. He was very professional, nice and very explanatory. He informed me of the best options for my car and even told me when s the next time I should be expecting to get my brakes maintenanced. He worked very quickly and efficiently. He had me and my daughter out of there in less than 45 minutes. My car is running as smooth as ever.I would highly recommend going here for car maintenance all staff was very polite and professional.

My fiancé tasked me with getting her car inspected and the oil changed, and I naturally forgot to make an appointment earlier in the week. I called these guys around 11:30 on Saturday and Keith told me that as long as I got it to them by noon, theyd squeeze me in and get it done before 4PM. True to their word, I picked her car up shortly before 4! The car was inspected, oil changed, and most importantly, I was done within the time promised. Cant thank them enough for squeezing me in on a Saturday on such short notice. Ill certainly be back soon.

Well am sorry I had to rate this place 1 star , but I call this place on 11/13/22 in the early morning for tires and installation I asked for availability the young man that answered the phone was very nice and said yes he have two good year the ones that I m looking for $107 each $31 installation each I agreed to the price and requested a time to come in I was told to come in ASAP I was one minute away I stopped and he took the car in with him five minutes so I was happy I told him I m from New York I got to get back to work so he understood clearly watch my plan . Let s back up for a second at night before I had a flat on the highway and one my tire was badly damaged , 2 1/2 hours later and they were still trying to remove the tire from the rim remember this is a Toyota Prius so it s not a big wheel I volunteered to help to remove the tire but was not given the option , I overheard the calling friends for help telling they tried everything and nothing works I finally had to stop the work from continuing because I had to get back to work on a 3 1/2 hour drive with a donut on my car. The following day Three simple tool remove the tire in five minutes knife and two slotted screwdrivers I was very very disappointed for a name with such a big Advertisement I hope this was only just one isolated incident the kid that helped me was very very helpful but had no experience sometime we need to think out of the box

I had a state inspection, oil change along with tire rotation done at the Chrysler Ave shop in Rotterdam and they were excellent. I made an appointment for 8 am and my car was taken in on time and all the work was completed in an hour. The manager was very friendly and responsive and Paul the inspector was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Went to have some service on my car. The new manager, Ed greeted me professionally and was courteous. He showed me the problem and what needed to be done. I was pressed for time even though I had made an appointment. Problem was still not resolved, Ed knew what was the solution and fixed my car in the time I had given him. I called earlier today and was told that I could come in at 2 to have a tire alignment done. I live an hour away but this was the only place with openings so I decided to take it. It is now 2:04 and my boyfriend just arrived to have it done and was told that there was never an appointment made and that he now has to wait in the parking lot for 2 hours if that isn t the most unprofessional experience at a shop, I don t know what is, and for the cost too find another place

Terrible experience. Super long wait time even though I had an appt that I also allowed them to pick their least busy time. Car didnt get pulled in until an hour after I got here. Workers hop between cars instead of completing the one they are currently working on. Could also use better customer service. This is why I always choose valvoline. This will be my last time here for sure.

Blew out a tire on the interstate. Staff was friendly, got me right in, and had the tire changed out in under an hour. Great customer service!

Brought a winter beater in to be inspected. The service rep got upset with me over a small disagreement. We then declined any services to be done After we brought the car home, we found out they torqued the lug bolts so tight that they were rounded off.

Very Nice. Did a great job. Was very communicative. Price was on par with others but cheaper than dealerships. They were nice to drive me home while they worked. I had gone in for an inspection. They couldnt pass it. They showed me the problem and then gave me 2 quotes to choose from. They added me to thier day even though they were leaving early. Only negative is they dont lock your car when they are done and I couldnt see any cameras.

Great service

Called yesterday and they told me a new battery on my car would be $150-175 installed. Just brought my car in and now it s all of a sudden almost $300. No added services. Same battery. Just a different person. They re extremely inconsistent. I usually go here for everything but they ve lost my business over this, i don t lie to my clients.

Told them my truck back tires loosing air i think it needs new bead/sealer. They told me i need new rims. I drove by couple times, truck look like it never moved. Took it somewhere else they did the job.

Made an appointment and they canceled it. Called for another appointment and was told they dont have any till Monday but the website shows multiple slots for Saturday. Apparently they dont need anymore buisness

This place has excellent service. I came for service close to closing time very concerned about a noise I was hearing when I drove my SUV this Saturday & the manager Rog took the time to listen to my concern despite the fact he was likely exhausted from a hard day of work & looked forward to closing the shop for the day. He offered to take a look at it & ended up doing a full new brake pad & rotar repair that I desperately needed along with an oil change!! I m SO grateful for his kindness & willingness to assist me. I m now a dedicated customer

Came in the morning for a apt at 12 took us early and we very helpful. Did an exhaust estimate and oil change.

I go in for an oil change. They break the shield piece off of my car that is protecting under my car. Now mind you I just got it fixed a few weeks before. They say it was broken already but yet it had a piece of my car on it where they broke it off from. I also wanted them to take a look at my bumper/wheel well to see if it was an easy fix, no they put duck tape on it. But didn t touch the wheel well. So needless to say, now the wheel well is a lot worse now, like they pulled on it even more. I will never go here ever again for any type of service. Oh and having that list above of what I wanted them to look at they come back with a list of things that are wrong that had nothing to do with my oil nor my bumper. Like do your job!!!!
