This place is the perfect auto shop! So clean and even decorated. Most importantly they are very professional. I called on the phone to inquire about my warranty and they did all of the leg work for me. The communication here is amazing! And look how cut the bathroom is!

Place was very honest and fair about what my car needed, it was a simple oil change when the check engine light turned on. Good deal.

I ve had a few fine experiences here in the past. It seems since the new owner, not so much. Creaky sound when pulling into my driveway I m told are the brakes said I need all new brakes and rotors, over 1k. That didn t seem right to me since my brakes were serviced a few months prior, when I bought the car, so refused to have it done yet. I had a mechanic friend check my brakes. They re at around 50%. Also, the creaky noise is not the brakes. Very disappointing. I thought I found a good honest place but I was wrong. Oh well

This is a Five Star Automotive repair shop and they are second to none! They treat their customers they way you want to be treated. They are reasonable, fair, and they truly care about their customers. New owners Jeff & Jackie are continuing the same high level of standard as their predecessors, Bill & Donna Dunlop. Dropped off my 2011 impala LT for an oil leak and exhaust leak. Beforehand, my car was running really loud and generally felt really rough when driving. They had replaced my oil pan and motor mount, as well as some gaskets and such. My exhaust could be welded up front so they did so. Overall, my car is running way better than it did before I bought it! I couldnt recommend Dee pats enough!

Needed to have a car fixes unexpectedly while unfamiliar with the area. Dee Pats was recommended to me. I needed pretty extensive work done and they gave a reasonable price (checked with my local repair shop), and completed it all in 2 days so I could make it home! Very kind as well!

Replaced my flat in minutes!!

This Car shop is where you want to go for all your automotive care if youre in the area. -They explained everything that was wrong with my car & wasnt pushy like other car shops, which I liked. -Went there cause my car wasnt shifting into 2nd gear correctly, & it was a simple throttle reprogramming with some stupid computer issue. Hahaha -What I liked was on the bill, there was a list of recommendations, such as: % of brake pads I had left on front & back tires. Definitely recommend this shop, the staff is very professional and personable. They have many bays, with courtesy coffee and donuts.

I had key and computer issues with my 08 Dodge Ram so I took it to Smith Haven Dealership 4 months ago back August to figure out the issue, Top Certified technician had no knowledge how to resolve/ repair or diagnose my vehicle, he was simply (clueless). Dealership had then told me to scrap my truck being they felt defeated and couldnt fix the problem. My truck was Towed out of Dealership to Dee Pats Automotive and honestly, it took Jeff a week to fix my truck and back on the road again. I couldnt be more Happy and Blessed for all of Jeffs effort and dedication to repairing my vehicle and putting me back on the road again. I really wish I would of came here in the first place. Dee Pats is definitely my go to for all my automotive needs and repairs. You should make them yours to.

Jeff is the man We towed out truck from the dealership (Smith Haven Dodge in Smithtown) because the dealership didnt know how to fix the truck after 4 month on their lot and told us to junk the truck. Jeff was the man in less than 2 weeks figured it out. The truck is running great. I highly recommend this mechanic shop Friendly staff and very honest and awesome price. At my last visit I went for my oil change and inspection. I had an appointment. I was seen on time. They are always thorough and efficient. The staff is so nice. Jackie and Bill are super friendly when you walk in. Jeff has been working on my cars for at least 10 years and I trust no one more. If you ever question anything, they will show you the problem. They never push me and I feel like all the decisions are my own which expert advice.

Went in for an oil change. Waited for car in a nice waiting area with a 4 year old. Had a basket with snacks and a coffee maker for me. Very polite staff and very reasonably priced. Did oil change checked over car and said everything looked good. I highly recommend.

Had one mechanic tell me I needed a while new transmission and after I took it to DeePat for another opinion, I found out it was only the sensors that needed replacing. Great shop you can trust. Very happy to have come here, going to a mechanic without the headache. Even took the time to show and explain, what was wrong with my car. Also went the extra mile by cleaning something off my windshield that I probably would of had a hard time cleaning myself. Absolutely happy with them!!

I am not sure why all the reviews seem so positive, but my experience was entirely different. The price quotes, and unnecessary addons to what I brought it in for, were absolutely ridiculous. I came to this place because of the reviews I saw, and want to now make sure to set expectations for people about the prices, and potential shady business. I came in late February to just have a checkup, and I will not be back after what they tried to pull. They also claimed to call me when they clearly didnt after a week, I had records of all calls to my phone downloaded due to service issues.....oh and no voicemail?! I guess I am the only one who had a bad time(unless of course, these other reviews are illegitimate?!). I added an extra star because the people I dealt with were nice, but that is the only favorable thing I can say. I had 12 cars I was going to service here for a lifetime, and now I am looking somewhere else once again. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a mechanic not trying to take advantage of you...and let me know when you find them!! Sorry for the blunt truth, but it is the truth. I have quotes to back everything up, and will post upon request. Update: Sorry, I did not leave the review closer in March. Unfortunately, there is a pandemic and it was not high on my to do list during it. I also prefer to leave some buffer time. Again, staff was nice, and hope that this was not to harsh.

I cant recommend Awsomotive highly enough. Like most people, Ive had my fair share of mechanics trying to squeeze every penny they can out of me. Im not car savvy, I dont know a thing about the issues that occur with a vehicle and Im an easy mark for anyone trying to take advantage when it comes to auto repairs. In this case, I was convinced I needed my brake pads replaced and potentially some work done on my rotors because I was getting a loud squeaking at times when driving that was consistent with worn brake pads Ive had on past cars. I brought my vehicle in, fully expecting to spend somewhere between $400-600 to fix the issue and get an inspection. Donna and her team couldve easily told me I need 4 new brake pads and rotors and I wouldve spent hundreds of dollars without batting an eye because I assumed there was a problem and they wouldve been confirming that. instead, Donna called me, explained that they checked the pads, took it for a test drive and determined there was no issue at all. Donna explained what was causing the squeak and I ended up leaving with my car within a couple of hours having only spent $37 (happily). The team at Awsomotive is extremely professional and they care more about securing a long-term customer than they do about what they can get you to spend before your car leaves their garage. Theyve secured a customer for life and Im super appreciative of the service they provide. Truly a great local business.

Years ago I went looking for a place to inflate a tire from a small tractor. After a laundry list of Nos I stopped at Awsomotive The mechanic I now know as Jeff not only inflated the tire but went out of his way to see it was fixed correctly. As I said it has been years and he is still fixing my cars and truck. I count myself fortunate to have a competent and reliable mechanic in this age of deception and crazy prices.

They flat out told me they didnt want my business because i made a stink that they completed UNAUTHORIZED work, AND acted like they were doing me a favor when i could have gone to another shop instead. Needed wheel hub assemblies replaced in the front, i tried but couldnt get a bolt off, which i told them, said they could do it in a day, then i get a phone call telling me that they had to replace a caliper pin and install one helix coil to the shoe, i told them i didnt want that done, that i would do it, i already had the helix coils, which cost 10 dollars for 10, and it would have taken me 30 minutes, they charged me 140 and said they already did it, when i tell them i didnt want that done i catch a huge attitude and am told that they did me a favor and i held up their lift Yada Yada... for a repair i never wanted done. They dont want my business and i want a mechanic i can trust and who cares about their customers, perfect solution, dont go here. Jeff, Donna and the whole crew here are great. They always do quality work at reasonable prices and they get the job done in a timely manner. I have been going here for years now and I would not go anywhere else. They are honest good people and will usually even show you what is broken so that you know and can see and understand.

Very competent. I agree with what has been written so far. Jeff has done a lot of work on many different cars of mine and he is both talented and does not give up easily when digging into difficult problems. Donna is also superb.
