I ve been going for years to have my car(s) serviced and maintained. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, the work is great and the prices are far less than the dealerships. Also, and importantly to me, the work is done timely with minimal time off the road.

Niel has been taking care of my cars for over 20 years. Aside from being an excellent and creative mechanic, he is always thoughtful and goes out of his way to be helpful. He actually drove down to Washington Heights to help me out when I locked my keys in my car.

Aniello does good work, knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with.

ANR Auto Repair! Or should I say.. Heaven on Hudson St. Sometimes in life you just get lucky. Kia quoted me $1300 to replace a tail light and some extra damage- a buddy from my cigar lounge recommend Neil (or for you pure Italians Aniello ) and told me what an honest and great man he was- boy did I hit the jackpot finding him. I live in Riverdale, so it s a far journey to take given the plethora of Auto Shops in between me and them, but it s a journey I will be taking from now on. The A stands for AWESOME- this speaks for itself. The N stands for Neighborly- Neil and his son have amazing candor, patience and kindness in how they operate the business. The R stands for Responsive- I called up and he had me come immediately to assess the problem, ordered the part immediately, called me when it came in a week later, I went in, he fixed and attached it in on the spot and I was out of there. The R could also stand for Ridiculous - as mentioned Kia quoted me $1300- Neil did it for around $450!! including the inspection. That is all my cigars for the next few months, or my gas for a few months, or whatever silly thing I m gonna spend that windfall on (maybe something for my wife!)- I got lucky because I called him, and everyone else should to! Cannot recommend highly enough. I would still prefer to not have problems with my car, but if I am gonna hand over my cash for repair it s gonna be to these guys! Thanks Neil (Aniello), Son and Team. Broke down headed to Massachusetts on vacation crossing the Cuomo bridge. Engine over heated. Luckily I was able to get it to Neil at A N R . Although he was working on two other cars he was able to immediately diagnose the radiator as the problem. Within 5 minutes of arrival he had ordered the new radiator and had it delivered. Hrr rd gave us some ideas of things to do while in Sleepy Hollow and assured me he would get us back on the road. After we got back he finished up a pretty difficult repair and got us back on the road and at a fantastic price. Haven t had an issue with the truck since . He s a super nice guy , and a great mechanic who saved our vacation! Really can t thank him enough!! Didn t have to work through his dinner and stay late got someone who isn t a regular customer but saw a family stranded far from home and really came through. I can t thank you enough Neil! Highly recommend ANR.

The best in the business! I have been going to Neil for years and never disappointed. He is honest and always up front about what needs to be done & if something pops up he calls to give you options on what you can do to have it fixed the right way. He picks me up an drops off from the train as well! He replaced my wifes struts last year and when it was making a noise last week he figured out there was a manufacturer defect & got a new part under warranty and replaced it FREE OF CHARGE! I moved from Westchester to Orange county & still travel to ANR for service, highly recommended!

Was looking to buy a car from a local dealership so we brought the car over for a pre-purchase inspection and ANR couldn t have been nicer. They were thorough, detail oriented, and very well priced. Highly recommended.

Came to Neil prior to purchasing a used car from a local dealership to perform a pre-purchase inspection . Neil was professional, thorough and honest, even telling the salesman that new tires were needed. I was extremely impressed all around. Neil- if you are reading this, I got the four new tires!!!

We began using ANR Auto in 2000 and were immediately impressed by the quality of work and reasonable price. Over the next 20+ years, we found Niel to be a person of high integrity and very skilled as a mechanic. He does the right thing for his customers and we highly recommend his services.

Great and honest service

Owner and his secretary are extremely incompetent and unprofessional. First time I set an appt with the owner Neil he arrived almost an hour late and did not apologize once. His secretary was getting an attitude towards us for asking where he was. Once he showed up he proceeded to try and sell us some salt water product and even called some lady in Columbia to try and convince us. I wanted to leave but needed work done. He tells us to come back another time to do our tires after he patched our exhaust and then tried to charge us over 150 dollars. He sees us question the price and all the sudden drops it to 100. We were highly unsatisfied when we left. About two weeks later we had to come back to get our tires he was supposed to have ordered. We had a appointment at 11. Once again he shows up late and then proceeds to tell us he never got the tires and we would have to wait 45 mins and that it not his fault. He then leaves us at his shop and actually leaves in his car. Comes back its been over an hour and still no tires. We make a complaint and he and his secretary proceed to place the blame on us for not confirming with them the morning of even tho we confirmed the night before the appointment and the day before that. We leave he finally gets tires tells us to come back. Says it will be 20 mins max. We come back and he proceeds to take over an hour to change two tires all while taking his sweet time. I walk up to the garage at one point to see what is taking him so long and I literally caught him doing nothing and watching tv while hes jerking me around. When I finally get my car no apologies and more placing blame on us like we are responsible for his business. The next morning we come out to are car and one of the new tires he changed is flat. We go to mavis and find out there is no puncture from us driving. The actual tire itself is bad and advised us to get our money back. Called neil and he proceeding to talk down to my fiance for calling him on a sunday and still tried to push blame on us. Tried to say we must have done something when two different mechanics were telling him his tire is bad. He also never put all my lug nuts back on my car. This man and his business are a complete scam. He lies and also tries to change prices on a whim. Extremely shady and weird mechanic read other reviews and do NOT give this place your business. You will highly regret it.

The negative reviews are 100% accurate. Biggest scam artist! Beware Indeed!! He will over charge you and damage your car, so you can comeback for more repairs. Stay away!!!! Beware indeed!

Save your time and money; stay away. The absolute worst auto body shop Ive ever dealt with. I had a positive experience with them in the past so I decided to give them a second chance, but that was a huge mistake. Wasted 9 hours of my time, grossly overcharged me, used the wrong oil in my car, and didnt even complete the work I was billed for.

Neil is overpriced and dishonest about his estimates and work. Completely took advantage of my wife while getting her car repaired there. We went in for an AC recharge and a power steering problem. His AC recharge cost twice as much as Ive ever seen for this service. He called her and said he found a problem with a sticky rear brake caliper, which we never asked him to look at and he sold her on fixing it without giving a price. When asked how much it would be he couldnt give an answer and only said, I wont break your bank. The same rear brakes had just been changed a few months ago also, so I dont trust that this was actually needed. After diagnosing the power steering issue, the cost of this total bill wouldve been $1500+. This price was only found out after we asked for a written quote, since he never offered any details of the work being done other than over text message. How professional... He had an extra labor line on the estimate for each part of the power steering assembly and even a labor line for CLEANING OIL OFF A HOSE to find the leak.....Give me a break. After speaking to my old mechanic in the town where we relocated from, he told me Neils labor charges were way too much for the work needed. When my wife picked up the car and decided not to do the power steering work, Neil then added charges to the bill for the power steering fluid that he put in which leaked out, and for the brake light bulb that we asked to replace. Both of these line items had NO CHARGE on the original estimate. THIS GUY IS A SCAM WHO TAKES ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN. Well be making 40 minute drive back to my TRUSTED mechanic from now on. Well worth it to avoid dealing with this clown again.
