Youd be better off staying in the woods. Youd be safer, more comfortable, and would save a bundle of money not having to spend it on inoculations and antibiotics. UPDATE: Google was recently flooded with a bunch of favorable reviews on this place. Dont believe them! Just look at the names. Obviously not from anyone around here. You cant see Lake George from the windows. Lake George is a 25 minute drive from here. This place is a known by locals as an absolute dump. Its disgusting, the cops are called routinely to this place, and its full of people dumped there by Social Services. Dont believe all the sudden 5 stars reviews....theyre obviously trying to unjustly get a better rating. The place is a dump. Whatever you do....dont even think of staying here!

Me and my family stayed over the 4th of July weekend and had lots of fun, they have a clean pool which my kids enjoyed the most, the room was clean and cozy, everything looks like got updated recently, we enjoyed the fireworks as well there s lots of options for different kind of activities, I recommend it to everyone. So was dropped off here by local towcompany during snowstorm after a car accident. Clearly old building looking a little run down. Front desk staff was nice enough and room cheap. Room seemed ok though bare. Went to get some supplies for the night at a local store and happened to tell the owner there where we were staying. Owner was aghast...you cant stay there... Is not safe. Began to tell us horror stories of criminal and drug related activity. Decided to leave immediately and go elsewhere.

The room worked perfectly for me. Does the job just fine, I needed a place to sleep and shower. I in Saratoga during the day and night, not a bad Uber ride away, about 20 mins. Overall, would book again if needed.

Too expensive for such an outdated hotel, smell of cigarettes in the corridor even in the room, the carpet should be removed.

Rooms: Rooms were very clean. They were updated rooms. Very large closets and places to put your belongings. Safety: I felt safe. There was cameras all over the place. Never heard or seen any unwanted people walking around. Walkability: There was pizza places stores and a grocery store in walking distance. Food and drinks: They do have refrigerators to bring your own drinks. I suggest you bring a small coffee pot If you want coffee in the morning.

If i could give this 0 Stars I would. This is not a safe place to stay with your family ESPECIALLY if you have children. It is also about 20 minutes by car from Lake George.... and nowhere near the sea

New owners took out cable and went with direct tv and the service is poor. quality service.the service goes down for no reason and nothing get done about it. Ive been here 11 years and and they cut back on a lot. The place is roach infested they offer you a can of Raid. The rooms had beds the looked like the sheets had been cleaned but were permanently stained and the overall cleanliness was very unpleasant beds were stiff and the service for rooms was nonexistent almost apart from the one nice guy in the office

Dump. Clearly visibly a dump from the exterior. I wouldn t even walk in. Booked through Expedia and I m shocked they are in business with this establishment. Yes price is cheap, that s so locals can live there. Busted up cars and old bicycles garbage and clothes hanging. Stay away.

Wasnt to bad just needs an update

Been here less than 24 hrs. Burn Holes in the sheets and bathroom curtains. Cockroaches, shower and tub are nasty. The pictures you see are not the way this place really is. Most of these rooms are bad and the cockroaches arent scared. Ill be posting pics,and be leaving on Monday. Ill be demanding my money back minus the 3 nights. Can you believe the nerve of these people,they charge a $200 security deposit for this.

Run down, and crime infested. I didnt feel safe for a minute being there.

My taxi driver called it the crack view. I was concerned but they seem to keep all those residents away from the rooms they rent out at $70/night. Room was average but clean.

The Clearview Motel has supported the community for as long as I can remember. It has served as temporary housing to those in need. I believe that this iconic Motel should be federally funded or at least State funded to provide safe affordable housing for those who desperately need help to live a normal productive life. So many of the needy,do not qualify for assistance or any aide the counties provide. Many have no means or transportation to apply for help. The Location of this Landmark Motel is ideal for providing assistance to those individuals who need safe shelter and would otherwise be homeless. The Owners, Management and Staff should be commended for all the good work they do. But they are after all a business that has to pay taxes, maintenance, and wages. The surrounding counties of Washington and Warren as well as Saratoga counties know full well the value of this fine establishment and the service it has provided for decades . Federal grants, state grants and monies donated by the mentioned counties would be well spent here at the Clearview Motel.

First of all, do NOT employ the services of this rat trap. I would say that in SGF you are much much better to give your last money(s) to a more reputable CHAIN than stay here.

There was no light bulbs because the previous people had apparently taken them. Pretty much sums up the Experience.

I read the reviews on this motel but decided to give it a try and booked for two nights. Yes- it is on a major highway to Lake George, and is convenient to walkable food and groceries. It did appear to be clean except for the windows, and many slat shades that were broken. The manager/? owner was accommodating when we asked to change rooms so that we could view our bikes. HOWEVER- we had a second floor balcony room and the patio door had a broken lock and the doors security bar was a piece of plastic molding. The main door from the hallway was a regular interior door with only a door handle lock- the chain lock had been broken and never replaced. The second floor hall exterior door was tied open to the hand rail - not sure who closed that at night.The neighbors room was occupied with people who swore loudly into the early hours (3am) of the morning. We had to close the curtains to the patio early because people where staring into the room. We ended up barring the interior door and the patio with the room chairs and still didnt sleep. We left early the next morning and forfeited the next night because we didnt feel safe in the room. Does it have potential- yes, but not for me again unless significant safety repairs are done

Stayed a night, was very quiet, new bed with boxspring and rails. Carpets could use replacement after 20+ years. They now have WIFI

Made a last minute reservation, but seriously should have looked closer at this place. Does not match the pictures. It was so decrepit looking on the outside that my partner and I literally didnt even pull into the parking lot - we drive right by and said No way. Waste of my money but there was no way I was setting foot in that place. Also, my debit card got hacked shortly after they charged me for the room I never used - coincidence? I think not for a place that looks so sketchy.

This motrl is under a new owner and now has wifi. Upgrade is slow but getting there, new beds and furniture.

Well, the office workers were very pleasant but the place is a hot ghetto ass mess.... Its right next to a laundromat, liquor store Mexican take out and family dollar which are known to be popular hot spots for trash.. So we prepared our selves with buying a few necessities like bathroom cleaner, wipes n disinfectant spray a plastic mattress cover for the bed, our own bedding n bedbugs spray just in case. The room smelled like old stall cigarettes with burn marks everywhere the carpet seen better days,their were holes in the walls some covered over but not painted or sanded properly hope they werent peek holes. It was the only place with a last minute vacancy and it was cheap.

For the price it was a good decision to stay here. It was definitely a bargain considering all over places were charging over 100$ for the night. The room had plenty of space, decent bathroom, clean bed and not much noise. We stayed one night. The motel is close to many places for food or drinks. We really liked it. No complaints here.

This peace is DISGUSTING!. Service is non-existent. The beds are terrible. Seems like they go out of their way to rent to most rundown rooms. This was my experience even as repeat customer. We got a room at a weekly rate (twice). Our second time we got a room that had a bathtub that did not plug closed ( you know,with the little drain switch?) I called to complain and was told, Yeah you just need to only take showers or you can out .Days later, the toilet stopped up. I called for help addressing this issue and their response was an employee who knocked on the door and handed us plunger then walked away. You will not want to walk barefoot in the ugly vintage red shag rug which will undoubtedly have food, ashes and God knows what else from previous lodgers. Also enjoy a view of the random drug drama taking place in the parking lot on any given day, through drafty windows with ugly vintage curtains to match the ugly vintage rug. No amenities whatsoever. No continental breakfast. Not even coffee or tea.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed my stay here. I came during racing season, and although it was about a 30 minute drive drive, we have family in the area so it was convenient. There is a pool, and with the way this past summer was, it was more than refreshing. I cant say I agree with things the other reviewers are saying. My room was smoke free with a new bed, and the service was great. Housekeeping services came at a reasonable hour... Free internet, microwave, refrigerator, anything you could possibly need if you are going to be staying short term. Contrary to what the reviewer before me wrote, the people in the front of the motel are not put up by welfare.I have a friend who lived in the front and they are financially stable. They were living there because it was all they needed at the moment, as well as many, if not all others on the side opposing the office. People are very nice, only a few oddballs but nobody that would do any harm. This place is conveniently located right between the Glens Falls/Queensbury region, and Saratoga/Wilton.With the good quality rooms and price, I will be coming back again next season if not before.

I stayed for 3 days for skiing and I would say my experience was pleasant overall. Compared to some of the other local places I have stayed in the past, I would say that this is one of the better ones. The inclusion of free internet along with HBO was definitely nice considering the fact that I only paid $65 per night. The location was also convenient because there was a shopping strip right next to the motel, so getting basic needs and food was no problem. I didnt interact much with the staff, but they were helpful and nice whenever I asked them something. Overall, a nice motel with an affordable price. I will most likely come again next year for my next ski trip.

You stay you decide. Travel channel and Anthony Mechiori could do some real justice to some rooms for free and upgrade for free. We hope the clearview inquires with such undertaking, Id stay here more often.

I m local and this is the kind of hotel that makes the community very unhappy. It tends to attract unpleasantness.

Everything was broken down in the motel, there was mold in my room and not to mention the fact that it wasnt clean.
