There were some green beans fries, the idea was good but the execution was non-edible, well they were very hard and not possible to eat. Other things have been good. Service is great. Good for families and friends Kid-friendliness: I didnt ask for high chairs but they have a a sand yard and playground for kids maybe good up to 9 y/o

So theres supposed to be a CarHop right my husband and I went here for dinner one night pulled into the CarHop like we did every time before over the years on the pole it literally said CarHop service and we just sat there like dummies for well over a half hour the place wasnt even crowded there was only a couple cars when we showed up and the waitress pink blouse ponytail and poodle skirt came out several times but never once came over to our vehicle or even acknowledge we were there I am just very disappointed because of that experience my husband says we will never go back and I can agree with him and it makes me sad because I really enjoyed going to Mr Bills over the years for the experience of CarHop service ..

Zookie dogs.. Dog itself ok Sauce...no flavor whatsoever..no zip like before Onions..cold..no onion flavor...had a bitter taste Tried another bite out of 2nd dog.. Couldnt do it...in the trash Small fries..OK Small soda..OK Service..adequate Atmosphere ..good..new canopy and furniture great.. Cost ...about what I had expected. Disappointed tho..

been there twice first time teo weeks ago cat hop service was do bad and there were onlyvthree cars then ee got a highly overpriced food that was not even hot. so i always give them a second chance as they are fairly new. second trip today used the tables this time as the car hop was so bad last time. well two burgers raw,stone cold fries and Onion rings and again we waited so long. there were two car hop cars and only two people st the tanles and we were all complaining with each other how bad the food was.They need somebody in the kitchen that knows what there doing before someone gets sick. I wont be back been there twice spent alot of money and never got good service or good food.

My experience at Mr.Bill s was overall amazing! The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection, my milkshake was smooth and creamy, and the cashiers and management were very helpful and kind. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Mr.Bills is amazing! Growing up around SGF, theyve always been the go-to carhop and I love it! Had a lovely conversation with Laura and another waitstaff who I didnt catch the name of, but they are super welcoming. Highly recommend, their food comes out perfect and nice and hot! We ate at Mr. Bills on Fathers Day 2024. We had burgers, a kraut dog, cheese fries, sweet potato fries, and ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious and worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Writing this because we noticed some poor reviews that almost kept us from trying Mr. Bills! Happy my pregnant wife made me ignore them and stopped in. We were noticed shortly after pulling in, our server Caitlin answered all of our questions and took our order right away. Food was out in 5-10 minutes and it was fantastic. Just what you would expect for a car hop burger, dog, and shake. Will be back!

If you are going for the atmosphere of a 50s style Ice cream shop it was really great. However, we waited an exorbitant amount of time for two clam rolls and fries meal with cole slaw. Look twice because the container for the tarter sauce was the same small size as the cole slaw container. The clams were so overcooked they were hard, the fries were a very small portion as were the amount of clams in the roll and the by the time they called our number the food we waited all that time for was cold. The only thing colder was the ketchup. Mind you we paid 25+ Dollars for this food. No drinks or ice cream were ordered. We get that its fast food but a McDonalds value item with a small fry would have been hot and larger portions for much less money. We will not be going there again for anything more than an ice cream if at all.

I happened to be passing by on my way to VT and did a U-Turn to check this place out. I had a hotdog and a cheeseburger. I was very impressed on the quality of the meats and the toasting of the buns for both. What a great place, it reminded me of how drive-ins used to be, GOOD.

We brought our 3 grandsons to Mr. Bills on a recent Tuesday evening and ordered $40 worth of chicken tenders, coleslaw, fries, and a steak sandwich. After an extremely lengthy wait for the food they forgot the coleslaw so my husband waited in line again while his steak sandwich got cold. The chicken tenders were unlike any chicken tenders I have ever eaten. Full of gristle and inedible. I seriously could not bite through it. The steak sandwich was very skimpy. The coleslaw was basically a cup of dressing. The french fries were not cooked fully and tasted stale. Very low quality food. I feel like we just threw $40 out of the window as the majority of what we ordered was thrown in the trash. The food is awful! We will not be returning to Mr. Bills ever again. Steer clear of this place and spend your money more wisely on food that can actually be consumed at a place that cares about the quality of the food they serve.

I drove by and saw a radio station car there. Tuned in and heard a ribbon cutting with the mayor for a grand reopening. They were offering $.98 hot dogs. On my way home I stopped in, unfortunately the hot dog promo ended at 4. I ordered anyway since it was my first time and I wanted to check them out. At pick up, the food was on a tray, they never asked here or to go. I asked for to go boxes, when the girl went in, some guy in the back made an audible complaint. At the same time, a women who might have been a manager or owner was wiping the counter. I told her they never asked here or to go, she said sorry and theyll take care of it. I said some guy in the back didnt like it, she said he likes to mess around with the girls. I told her thats not something a customer should hear. I got my food, with trepidation about what happened when it was out of site. I ordered the sausage and peppers dinner. The sausage was over cooked and dry. The onions were over caramelized and burnt, there were no peppers. The fries had no salt and dried out like they came out of the fryer an hour ago. I also ordered a dozen wings, they were very dry, half the wings barely had sauce on them. First time and last time going. Sad this was a reopening.

Yesterday my husband and myself went and tried to do car hop, I parked on the right, put my handicap flag up and had my headlights on. We sat here for over 10 .minutes tried to get the attention of 2 of waitress and were not acknowledged. We were very dissapointed, we drove away and went somewhere else. If there was no car hop I wish someone had told us there was no sign out saying there wasnt. We were a huge fan of bills car hop. We couldnt get out of the car we have knee issues!!!

Ordered Door Dash and Dasher had to wait past schedule pick up time. This happened when they were not busy, what happens when they get busy? Stay away if you are in a hurry.

Took 50 minutes to get our food and it was cold and burnt.

I should have heeded the warning signs. Under new management , We are short staffed, please be patient wait time 20 minutes . We were pretty please to pull in and see it not busy on such a nice day. A couple food customers ahead of us and there was a warning of a 20 minute wait. After we had been waiting for 30 minutes they changed the wait to an hour. As a retired food service professional, I could look in the kitchen and see what they are doing wrong. The don t have a shortage of staff, they just aren t training who they have. One ticket filled at a time is never how it works yet that s what they do. I watched 2 employees literally stare at tickets for an Eternity and not move. Then a father and son who arrived 40 minutes after we did, who knew the staff, walked to the side door with his number. Left his number behind and went to his truck. His food was delivered 5 minutes later. We still waited. It was slow. I saw 4 car loads of people walk to the window, find out it was an hour and left. So this new management is failing. At an hour and 3 minutes our 2 burgers, and onion rings appear. No fries. We ordered fries. I asked for my fries and a couple minutes later a pile of lukewarm fries showed up. The burgers were micro in size and the fried stuff was so so. $32 plus tip. An hour and 20 minutes. Oh the malts we received 6 minutes into our stay were very good. I can fix your speed of service. However I won t return.

Ice cream is the best part. Ive been going here for decades, but every year it seems to go further south. Hasnt had a functional bathroom in years. Increasing prices with low quality food- Walmart white bread, poor quality hot dogs. Very disappointed

The food was fair but was frozen not freshly made. Had a hotdog, fries, and breaded shrimp. There was no doubt that the fries and breaded shrimp were pulled from a bulk bag. Presentation of food was below par. The shrimp was on a hotdog bun (not very appealing). The hotdog was obviously put in a bun also, the buns were very dry. The dog was the quality of S-Bar hotdog brand. The prices were very high for the quality and quantity of food that we got. Personally I will not visit this establishment again.

First review I ve ever had. 5 hot dogs and small cheese fries came to $31!! First they re not even real beef dogs. Second you could go to new way lunch or the dog shack for half the price. You could eat at a fine dining restaurant and get a steak or real food for that price. I know prices of goods have increased but come on.

A classic car hop, formerly an A&W (the A&W burger man statue still stands in the South parking lot) with the usual ice cream and fried food. New to the menu this year are some nice-looking salads which sell out fast. This is a popular spot for locals and travelers alike because it is reasonably priced, fun, and impossible to miss when driving by. Parking: 3 rows of lined spaces are usually plenty. There are spaces behind the building too if the car hop area is full and you want to pickup or eat at the picnic tables. Kid-friendliness: Theres a modern playground in the parking lot on the North end of the building, very nice spot. Usually the kids dont even want ice cream when they see the playground.

All I am going to say is it was actually decent at one point. Now, it is like going to McDonalds but worse. I payed $5 for a medium Ice Cream and got a baby. The worker was Riley. However, when you get someone else (Mary) you can get a good serving. The Vanilla tasted like pure sugar that was not mixed. Wish it was better. If you really want some good Ice Cream then go to somewhere else like The Dairy Haus or Marthas. Another good place minutes down the road is Southys. (the owners and workers are actually really nice people) Parking: They have some spots out in the sides and some in the back. However, there is a weird camper parked on the side. Kid-friendliness: They have a swing set and a 80 year old Marry go round. However, I would not recommend going near the Marry go round because that is where the cooks go to take there smoke break.

Really nice family place

Mr. bills has a new owner who is extremely rude and told us we have to drive and cannot walk to her place of business. The food is terrible. My works hot dog had a soggy bun and the fish fry had a dry, shrunken fish filet. The service takes a long time. I used to go to this car hop at least once a week because I lived close and the food used to be good. Now, I will never return even though it is convenient. You will find much better service and ice cream a short distance down the road or southys.

Its Run down the crew is horrible the crew shut the window on my wife while we were still ordering said just wait or leave but asked us before that what we wanted erggg then we didnt get what we ordered.. then when we told them whats wrong the kid decided to run or mouth and said to bad just leave...

I came here after saying I never would again, with high hopes of better food and service. At least the servers before acknowledged that you were there and asked you to wait a moment. FANTASTIC FOOD! Huge improvement with the new owners! Bigger burgers, tender grilled chicken, cheese fries and O rings were eaten right up and the best Cole slaw I ve had anywhere in the area.

The new Mr. Bills is amazing!! I ve been coming here since my childhood! Sadly, over the past few years it no longer lived up to my childhood memories BUT after checking out our newly updated Mr. Bills, I ve been addicted ever since! They changed ownership and honestly, the new owners have really outdone themselves. Not only has it been beautifully renovated with modern updates, but they ve also managed to add to that old-school 50s charm we all love! They resurrected one of our towns iconic landmarks without losing its soul. Most importantly, the food has been *majorly* upgraded. The burgers are so much juicier (my #1 favorite ), the fries, the mozz sticks with Melba, the milkshakes (etc) are soo addicting! They kept the Mr. Bill classics but have undeniably raised the bar on quality and taste! What really stands out are the people now running it! The new owners are usually there, very welcoming and genuinely happy to see you. They re seriously the friendliest, most outgoing people you could hope to meet and their passion for the place is contagious, which is clearly reflected in their staff! It s such a positive atmosphere there. It s the same Mr. Bills we all know and love, but with a new heart. If you re in the mood for delicious food and some nostalgia, I can t recommend the new Mr. Bills enough!

Painfully slow, after 40 minutes of waiting for frie and chicken tenders, tried to get my money back they gave to me minus the $5 for the melted ice cream I been holding on to waiting for my food they said would be up in just a minute so I didnt think much about the ice cream melting at the time. So bad experience, besides not getting my food they were not putting out food very quickly.

Just ordered dinner for pickup tonight. Mr Bills was quite busy for a weekend evening in March which was great to see. Many people ordering and waiting but everyone seemed happy. Its great to see this Icon of our neighborhood doing well and attracting a strong business! Just a couple of comments on the food we received. The pork in the Pulled Pork sandwich was a bit too fatty. Also, the sandwich was made on a hamburger roll which surprised me. It would be so much better on a Club or half hero roll (even for more $). We also had the Shrimp basket. The breaded shrimp was good but overcooked. It was dark brown instead of golden brown which made it a bit too chewy. We ordered the shrimp with Tartar Sauce and received Blue Cheese instead. Interesting taste but not what we ordered. Fortunately, we had our own Tartar Sauce. Lastly, the French Fries were great! I will give the staff the benefit of the doubt this time as they were very busy tonight, and it is early in the season and the crew may not be very experienced. But, in the future, I would hope for a bit more attention to the minor details that will make their food great instead of just OK. We all want to see the New Mr Bills be a big success!

Went there yesterday because I love their chicken Caesar wrap probably the best I ve ever had. It was a little busy when I went and I noticed they were training new staff, plus I was told they were having internet issues so I had to wait a little longer for my food. All of that said it doesn t matter because the food and service is 100% worth it. We all have to remember it s under new ownership and I can tell they are working really hard to change the way things were done with the previous owners and it shows! The food is way better quality!

I am a US Army Soldier, born and raised in Eastern Europe where I flew from after wars. I randomly found out about this place, always enjoyed good old American burgers and let me tell you, this place will deliver! Brand new location, brand new clean bathrooms, driveway, hop on dining option, music they play ... It made me feel like I am in good Old American Movie made in 60s or 70s wrapped in 21st century, state of the art dining facility. I would recommend this place to friends, family and my fellow service members and veterans!

Well they did their best .it was pretty busy. But at least a 30 to 40 minute wait at a hot dog stand. We had fish fry it was good but not worth the wait French fries were cold which after 40 minute wait didnt set well with me or my husband not to happy . Then issues with Ice cream machine. Another wait. Ice cream had very little flavor well it will be awhile before we go back.

I can t even believe the rediculous fish fry my husband and I got it was about 4 inches long, overcooked and disgusting the fries were cold s d we waited for our to go for over 40 minutes. The original owner has to be mortified how badly this place has sunk. It s very sad.

6/7/22 only walk up to go service was being offered due to the weather and forecasted thunderstorm. My first and probably my last visit. I found the fish in the fish fry tasted OK but too small ... It came with a lot of fries (kinda like mcds type) but I found them pretty bland. The mozz sticks were breadcrumb crusted and I prefer the batter fried versions. The coolest part was seeing what appeared to be an employee from Southies (down the road) ordering shakes.

I ordered lunch to go for my daughter and I. When we got home to eat we noticed my burger was missing. I went all the way back to get my burger . The young girl I spoke with was rude about handling this error. My burger was the first thing ordered so I m not sure how it was missed. The girls looked for the ticked and saw that the burger was not on it. They made the mistake yet I had to pay for the burger they were supposed to ring up to begin with plus I had to wait for it. Lunch time with my daughter was ruined. I know it s hard to get staff but please don t just hire anyone

Nice place! Staff is nice, hotdogs are great! Frys are spot on too. They even have tater tots!!! I like mine oven baked but these are fried and still really good. Ill be back for a burger and ice cream soon :) Deff hit this place up!

This is a nice place to take a break for a meal. You can get your order to go, have the staff take your order from you while you sit in your car or enjoy sitting at one of their tables seated in the shade. Its on a very busy street, so be prepared for lots of traffic whizzing by, but worth the stop.

Perfect on a hot day and you dont feel like cooking. The staff are friendly and courteous, food came out in a timely manor temps were good and nothing was overcooked. My only suggestions for the ambiance would be some music.

I ve been to Mr. Bills a couple of times, once for food and once for ice cream. The food is your typical fried fare of burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc., and it s not bad. I d come back again for food. The ice cream, however, I found to be disappointing. The soft serve was gritty and left a thick film in my mouth. The flavor of the ice cream was pretty bland. I can t speak on the quality of the hard ice cream, but I d skip the soft serve here.

Ive been here twice and both times I have ordered the sandwich are never the price as advertised. Lots of hidden fees and the food isnt really anything to write home about. Greasy both times and they offer you 3 different types of cheese but be careful because w/e cheese you choose changes the price w/out letting you know until afterwards. Plus you would think that getting it to go would make it cheaper because they dont have to pay anyone to clean up after you ect. This place actually charges you more because you require an extra paper boat to cover you food. Again they will not tell you this until it is time to pay. So a $7 advertised sandwich will actually end up costing you roughly about $10. When I asked the cashier why so much she just shrugged her shoulders and told me that was the price. I will not be eating here again and would not recommend it either.

Decent food for a great price. Honestly way better than a fastfood restaurant and takes the same amount of time. I would recommend car hop service during the day because the bees get pretty bad. But its definitely a place to stop and try. Great dogs, burgers, sandwichs (philly cheese steak or chicken sandwichs) and shakes.

Mr Bills is classic summer eating. From the American fare of hot dogs and burgers to a fried seafood dinner its all delicious and greasy. A great retro vibe with the car hop, good food and great ice cream, it should be a stop during your summer! Just dont make it a daily thing if youre worried about your health.

Great lil place for a quick bite ... Kids love it

Love the food and let me tell you they hook it up . Service was great and didnt even wait that long , for our moster order.

Was absolutely delicious, and they use real steak for the Philly cheese steaks. The play area is perfect for the kids while waiting.

Overpriced , Not much For your money, clams were o over cooked ,sea food sampler ,fish was size of Pinky , i was going to buy Ice Cream over priced too ! I really dont know why people even go there !

Me and my husband have been here twice and each time we get the same waitress, Alecia , she s very kind, very patient and always checks on us to make sure we enjoy our food or if we need anything. She made our first experience with this place the best. Also the food is fast , hot and delicious

Everything was awesome. Dogs, Burgers, chicken fingers. Kids loved it all. And great service too.

Friendly, fast staff. Did miss a couple of minor items (cup vs cone, etc) but that was likely because it was busy and there was a benefit going on with loud music in the next lot. Busy street but lots of parking. Will definitely be going back :)

Great food Im glad even though its American cheese is white. But down a star from 5 due to having Pepsi for there choice of soda. Pepsi personally sucks.

So cute with the large red and white umbrellas as well as the clean large red tables. Great food. Very nice place.

Ordered: double cheeseburger with chili, chili cheese fries, battered mushrooms, root beer float, chicken cheese steak all was awesome. Like the carhop atmosphere even though its off season.

I used to come here multiple times over the summers but I went one time over the summer in 2021 the food is not the same as it used to be. pretty disappointing. hope things changes

Love the place! Open for business with actual Car Hop service. Burgers, onion rings, fish fries and shakes all done right by a local family owned business. Are you seriously still eating and McDonnalds??? Keep your money local and pay for delish food!!!
