We gave you another chance... Only to be charged an outrageous price for 1 hours worth of work to be honest the timing wasnt the issue the issue was the incompetent work when doing our inspection. Fully knowing they had to do the inspection they disconnected the battery and we had to drive it over 40 miles to be told we still needed to drive it more. As most people we have a busy life and live over an hour away. To have to deal with this and other issues like our sons lug nuts not being tightened our sisters inspection and oil change not being done...only the expensive work was done making us have to come back down to do. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years. No more and do not call me I have been down that road for the many hits my credit took when they ran multiple companies when told to run my company...UGH what happened to good customer service.

Do not trade your car in to them!!! They will give you scrap value. Every other dealership offered me 3 times as much as carriage traders. Only gave me 1000 for a fully loaded volvo with only 114k on it. I never would have traded it in having known that. I do not recommend if you are to trade something in. My vehicle purchased I have noticed several issues with. Trim work missing, back tire leaking (no valve item cap), old owners info still inside. For a dealership the appearance of the place should not look like that. Its not very inviting and is old and dingy building. Overall It was legal extortion.

I found a vehicle through Edmunds that I was interested in and was being sold at Romeos Carriage Traders. I went to Romeos Carriage Traders website to confirm the price and see if it was available. I did not find the vehicle on their website so I called them directly. I spoke with a woman who assured me that she knew the vehicle, the vehicle had not been sold, that it was listed on their website. I made her look again, on her computer, using the stock number I had for it. Again, she assured me that the vehicle was available. She took my name and number and scheduled an appointment for me to see it the next day at 1:00 (which was on a Saturday). I later did another search on their website and did see the vehicle listed. Hmmm? First it is not there and then it is there. That was the first clue that something was not right. Later in the day they texted me a reminder of the appointment. I made the hour and a half trip to see the car the next day (Saturday) and pulled into the lot at 1:09. I saw the vehicle parked near the sales door with a NYS license plate mounted on the rear with a license plate bracket that was Romeos Carriage Traders frame. As I stepped out of our vehicle I saw somebody get into the vehicle and drive off. I entered the sales office and was greeted by the salesman that had seen the person off in the vehicle we had come to see. He asked if I had an appointment and I replied yes and that I just saw the vehicle leave. He told me that the vehicle had been sold that morning. That is BS. It would be impossible to register that vehicle on a Saturday because the DMV offices are closed. Obviously they had sold the vehicle during the week and the owner came to pick it up Saturday. They knew this, put the listing back up on the website, and conned me into driving there for a vehicle that no longer was for sale. The salesman then tried to talk me into staying to look at other vehicles. I told him that they should have initially told me that the vehicle was sold and called me that morning as well. I left immediately. They are untrustworthy scumbags. Bait and switch. I dodged a bullet. If that is the way they con people, I feel confident that they are selling horrible vehicles to unsuspecting people. I suggest staying away from this used car dealer and especially urge anyone to not make a trip to see a vehicle. They will make you believe a vehicle is there when it is not. Waste of time and very disrespectful of people. Im glad I found out before purchasing a vehicle there. Who knows what pile of junk they were peddling. Furthermore, I researched this vehicle more and found that it had been sold by another dealer, taken back after 900 miles and then sent to a car auction, where Romeos Carriage Traders bought it. Why was it returned and then sent directly to an auction house? Yeah, I dodged a bullet alright. Maybe my comment might help somebody else dodge one as well. If they lie before a sale, imagine what they will do to you after a sale. Look at comments on other review sites and you will see a slew of negative experiences. They are true. I lived it.

After a couple weeks of checking in with me (without any pressure or trying to sell me on something that wasnt even close to my ask), he and his team found exactly what I was looking for. He knew the history of the car, wasnt pushy at all, and was able to answer my questions... exactly what I was looking for in a salesman. I had been to other establishments trying to find a pre-owned vehicle and was talked down to, got daily, irrelevant calls and was extremely put-off. With Bill, youre not going to experience this. Hes professional, approachable, and is a really good guy. If you are in the market for a pre-owned vehicle, give Bill a shout... You WONT be disappointed.

Last year I was on the hunt for a car and I got in contact with Ranita she did not stop searching for a car till I was happy , she showed me about 10 different cars and I didn t like any of them she ended up sending me a Subaru legacy they just got in and didn t list yet and the second I drove it I knew it was mine she was very professional through the entire process she let me know that the car would still need to forgo a inspection and get detailed before I could take it home but she was just flat out amazing given I probably wasn t the easiest person to sell a car too a year later I put 30,000 miles on the Subaru and I haven t had a single issue.

Friend of mine bought a car from you and its Elantra she had changed the battery and one of the battery cables wasnt tightening so she called carriage traders where she got her car from you and they hooked it up to a machine beyond her knowledge and they claim that they found that the spark plugs were bad now theyre telling her that the spark plugs have to be changed because they were skipping and she had told them about the cable wire to the battery but yet they had to hook it up to a machine just to find that now theyre going to charge her for hooking up the machine to her car and to change the battery and the battery cable and all she wanted them to do was check to see why and then to add to it the dealer that works for you called her and told her all of this and before he told her all of this he wanted to know if she wanted to trade he knew something was going on yesterday with the car he knew and if she decides to trade it in carriage traders once four for a trade in she has been trying to get a hold of a man his name is Kevin carriage traders had no right to look into more problems if they are there I drove the car befor she had to get a new battery the car was fine

I really dont normally do this and always turn the other cheek but this time ive had enough. Car salesman care only for commission not saftey I bought a truck from there, not a few months after obviously after the lemon law was up I brought to greenwich ford. The told me both turbos were blown, the brake lines most of them were rusted out and the sway bar link was gone the repairs are more then what the truck is worth carriage traders did not a thing and said when you pay this much off you can trade it in

We went in with a simple request. 3rd row seat SUV or a 6 seater truck. 1st thing we got approved for we loved. Turns out they had sold it the day before. Fine. 2nd SUV we werent crazy about. $400 more somehow turn into a $1k down-payment instead of $0 down. Whatever. Then we saw a truck. At this point they didnt show us ANY trucks. Just SUVs. The truck was exactly what we were looking for. We came back the next day to look at the truck. It hadnt been cleaned, whatever. We were approved for $0 down. We signed all our papers and were promised it would be cleaned and ready to go for Wednesday morning. Monday rolls around and they said we were on track to pick up Wednesday evening. Whatever again. Its Wednesday and they said we werent approved yet for the truck (they had already had me put it on my insurance.) And we needed to come in. We go in, they did us a favor and got us approved for $500 down. NOTHING WAS DONE TO THE TRUCK! They give us a we owe paper and ask us to bring it back Monday. We drive it home amd.notice the front driver side tire is making a weird noise. The headlights arent working properly. It smells like cat urine. Monday rolls around and we drop it off before they even open. We pick it back up and they didnt clean it. They odor bombed it. The noise on the tire is even worse. They claim they checked it all out and it was just because it needed new tires. They said they ordered the tires and to bring it back Monday. Fast forward to this past Saturday. The truck breaks down in New Jersey. I call them and they say to fix whatever I need to and theyll pay us back. First thing broken was the axel. We fix it and pray this is the only issue. We very slowly drive the truck home to New York and its still making a weird noise. Sunday morning we take it to my fathers and discover.... THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT WAS BEING HELD IN BY PRESSURE ONLY!!!! NO BOLTS, NO PINS, NOTHING. 10/10 Dont recommend.

CAR-BUYING EXPERIENCE GONE SOUR Setup: Buying a car with my son - his first! Result: An unfortunate, and quite frankly, very confusing experience with this outfit. I, regrettably, literally called BS on the sales manager in a phone call (I am not usually in the practice of cursing while speaking with service professionals). I found him to be quite frustrating. I was told that the car upon which we had placed a deposit had been sold to someone else despite having that money down, and also having a solid plan to test drive the car later in the week after it had been checked out and serviced.This led to the contentious phone call, where I decided, and said, that we would take our deposit back. This was the second car we had looked at, at Carriage Traders, during the past two weeks. We chose not to pursue the first car after my initial test drive, but we enjoyed the experience with our salesperson to the point that I was eager to continue working with him, and he found us this second car. During the call with the sales manager, he acknowledged the second car was now unavailable, and for good measure, insisted on using this exact wording about me: You backed out of the original deal. Frankly, the use of that phrase frosted me, and I felt like I was being punished for unacceptable behavior. At that point, I was done with Carriage Traders. Within an hour of the call, I was surprised to receive a text message from the original salesperson stating that the car was indeed still available. Very odd, but our decision not to continue with the firm had already been made, and we will be looking at cars from a another dealer. Im not naive; I understand that used cars are not perfect. And I do not believe in stringing a car dealership along with arrogant gamesmanship. Im just trying to help my son find a decent first car, and make the car-buying experience enjoyable. It will not be through this firm.

We are very happy with our experience at Carriage Traders so far!!! Ranita our sales person was the best and she made our experience with purchasing our 2018 jeep cherokee so comfortable and easy and we left with it that day which was a plus. I will say the next morning we got in it and realized something was wrong with the radio unit (it was being wonky with some of the things it controls) but we called the next day and explained it and they had us down there that day to figure out what was going on and needless to say we needed to order a new radio unit and as soon as it comes in they will be calling to set up a day to replace it. So all in all it was a great experience other than having to have it fixed which we get things happen but the way they got us right in to figure out the problem says alot when it comes to being professional. Thanks to everyone we have dealt with thus far at CARRIAGE TRADERS especially Ranita!!!!

Today was my first time going to carriage traders after MONTHS of wanting a new vehicle, and these guys made it the easiest and smoothest process ever. I was helped by Dan first, who talked me through every single step of the process (explaining everything because i knew nothing about what i was doing), and even did the insurance switch over right there with me!!! Next to help was Kevin Collins, the one who explained everything I was signing (again because i didn t know too much), and was just overall one of the nicest, most patient, easygoing salesman i ve ever met!! Do not have a vehicle serviced here. They replaced an engine for me and the transmission went bad less than 100 miles later and claimed it was just a coincidence. They also admitted to charging me for 5 units of transmission fluid but only using 1. Very dishonest repair shop. Stay away. Just because I couldnt prove it doesnt make it true. You also admitted to basically stealing from me charging me for 5 units but only using 1. I wonder how many more customers you did this to so you could improve the bottom line.

Long story short. I was in need of a vehicle. Spotted a little Chevrolet Spark. Made a call, did a test drive, and in 3 days was driving off the lot. I must say Ranitajean Belair was awesome. She answered all my questions and made the process smooth and stress free. I also want to give a big shout out to Kevin Collins in the finance department for coming in on his day off to finalize the sale. What a team. Definitely will go back to Carriage Traders.

Bought a used truck from there and found a couple of things wrong with it they had no problem with fixing them they are great at taking care of their customers the repair shop they have is really good at what they very good they keep you informed on what they are doing and how long it will take will recommend them

My Wife and Son were only suppose to look at used cars and the next thing I know the calling me to set up the insurance. The walked out with a 2017 Santa Fe. We had a little problem with the SUV the first day but they took care of it right the spot. Ranita was very professional and friendly. She makes you feel like your part of the family.
