Top tier service. I ve been an owner operator for a little over four years and I have dealt with a few Heavy Duty Towing Companies and Big Tows Inc is by far the Best. My driveshaft basically exploded at 3:30am on 2/25. My truck was towed to Big Tows Inc and backed right into the shop. By the time my wife came and picked me up, coming from Maryland, and I got home I received a message saying my truck was fixed and ready to be picked up by 4:00pm. Anyone who knows the logistics of getting the different parts necessary to repair a driveshaft knows this was basically a miracle. The whole process was flawless and I would highly recommend Big Tows Inc to anyone and everyone. Thanks to there whole staff for your service.

Hey Big Tow! Head honcho Mo/Monica/Monique (I forgot what her name was lol) told me to write a honest review, so here I am. From start to finish everybody at big tow was nice, prompt, diligent, and hospitable. (Chefs kiss ) I can t thank Jazmin, Natalie, and sumalee for being so friendly and welcoming to myself and my dog Ollie. Rolled my problematic truck into the shop at around 01/30/25 2pm and got out by 6pm to deliver my load in Virginia on time! Some Reviews says they re a bit pricey, but quality and speed you just can t beat (Plus Company paid for it, so I m Gucci) Oh and this may be a long shot but sumalee I think you re gorgeous, maybe next time I m back we can grab some coffee? I cook, I clean, I like long walks on the beach/dog park, loyal, and on my free time I like to listen to classical music and pickleball. Wow! They were a Godsend! My car broke down back in April 2024 and Big Tows came to the rescue. A rainy night, a narrow parkway, we were thrilled to be towed somewhere safe. The driver was super nice, friendly and helpful. Plus, I recently needed a detailed invoice to get reimbursement from AAA for the tow, and spoke to Sylwia who was extremely helpful, friendly, considerate and fast. Kudos to her and everyone at Big Tows!

They are going to claim Im a fake review and that they dont have a record of me. Because they are unethical people running scams on hard working people. I called for a tow when I came to pick up my car they wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars, they even tried to convince me to scrap my car, they claimed to have worked on my car which is a lie and I never asked for any work to be done. They held my car hostage and refused to provide an itemized bill. in the end I had to pay what they wanted other wise they would keep my car, which seemed to be their goal. These guys are scammers and the reviews are bought.

Go somewhere else! I was warned not to go here, but i gave it a shot. Nasty people with attitude. No idea what customer service means. Edit* Since the response from the owner is typical as all other responses on prior reviews where they blame the customer and add lies.... nobody asked you to violate any rules, after spending 4 hours there because of your incompetency, I resolved the issue in 20 minutes myself, and then you refused the inspection with a nasty attitude.

The place feels like a funeral home. They treat their employees like crapola, and in turn, their employees treat the customers the same way.

On July 26, 2024 my wife s vehicle became disabled on I-287 in Oakland NJ. Big Tow responded to a police notification. Steve, the flat bed operator was very concerned about keeping my wife safe and was extremely good at his job. Was asked to pay for my service before I could SEE my receipt because they don t want you to see what they charged you for until they take your money. $130 per hour of waiting time for a tow? Very deceptive practices take place here. Highly suggest if given the option to use someone else.

Horrible expensive

Lets talk about Victoria getting a flat tire on I-287 NJ in THE DARK...when she lives in Connecticut people. Can we say panic mode. Until Jake shows up like a Knight in Shining pick up truck! Literally! Didnt judge my messy car, or the fact that I didnt know where anything was, or that I didnt even know how to open my own damn truck ok. He just took the keys and said Dont worry! And not the kind of Dont worry people say and then youre like omg now Im even more worried. It was the kind of Dont worry when you immediately knew ok, Im ok - my tire is shredded but Jake is going to make sure I get home safe! He made sure to talk to me through the whole process, gave me advice on the safest route to take home...and warned me on what marker that pot hole was at so when I take that route again I can avoid it. 20 mins later my spare tire was on and I was ready to go. He made sure I pulled off first and was a okay! Without Jake Id literally be who knows where right... wandering somewhere on route I-287 for sure. NJ people When you have car issues Call these people. Ask for Jake. He wont let you die on the side of the highway!

My tired popped on 287 and AAA sent this third party tow company to put my spare on. Jake from Big Tows came and he attempted to get my spare tire out from my trunk but he couldn t do it for some reason even after trying with other tools and things. It took him at least 30 mins to try and get it off. He just ended up not being able to get it out and even said it probably wasnt even useable because it needed a little air. So then he comes up with this weird plan to tow me and my friend under an hour away to Summit NJ at some mall. Drop us off there and have us call AAA again to tow us the rest of the way home because I would have had to pay extra if he had taken us the whole way so he saved me some money which was cool. But at this point its around 10pm, me and my friend are young girls and he left us in this scary parking lot. After we called AAA again they sent a guy out to tow my car to a storage area and we would get a ride home with another friend, who drove an hour away to get us. The tow guy gets to us and I told him exactly what Jake told us about not being able to get it out because the tire is rusted in , but the guy said hes just gonna try and get it out. He proceeded to get my tire out by twisting it with a wrench and put my spare on, and filled it with air. This took the guy 10 mins to do. Our friend arrives and we had to tell her she came for nothing because the guy fixed it. Long story short Jake from Big Tows didnt have any idea what he was doing and wasted like hours of our time.

New York traffic safety gave me the number i called them the girl on the fone was extremely unprofessional yelling made elit seem like i couldn t afford to pay even the safety guy wasn t happy about the way i was treated lucky he gave me another company that was able to come and get me on the road less then a hr she cost the and easy 700 dollars just for not knowing how to talk to people!

***** FRAUDULENT BUSINESS ALERT ***** I would give multiple negative stars if possible. I never want to put a business on blast, but I have to speak up about BIG TOWS INC in Ramsey, NJ and their unethical business practices. BIG TOWS INC is charging customers daily storage fees for a day of the week they are closed. So you re unable to pick up your vehicle because the facility of closed, they still charge you a daily storage fee. Shame on the Ramsey Police Department for associating themselves with a fraudulent and unethical business. I have alerted RPD and they are aware of the concern and they have received many calls with the same complaint. I gave the folks at BIG TOWS INC a chance to respond and right this wrong, but they haven t responded to repeated attempts to communicate on this matter. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB. Next step will be taking BIG TOWS INC to small claims court.

We pulled into Big Tow with a Motorcoach loaded with college sport team at quitting time with no AC. Santiago hooked up to AC compressor added freon got back to a cilling 66°. absolutely the best in the business. In 25 years of dealing with heavy equipment, dumptrucks, tractor-trailers, I have never met a more professional group. From the first phone call this organization made me feel at ease. Within 24 hrs they came to shop after a terrible accident that my 18yr old Peterbilt had. I kept telling the insurance adjuster I wanted to get it fixed because I was afraid it would get totaled just by looking at it. They were amazing at handling the insurance people. i would more than highly recommend them.

Rv broke down in the middle of the highway :( They towed it to the shop and offered to fix it after hours! The shop closed at 1 and stayed until after 6 AND got it fixed while maintaining a positive attitude!

Everyone was extremely friendly and professional...from the tow driver that picked up my loaded Semi, to the driver that took us to our hotel for the night, to the ladies in the office handling payment. They stayed late the next day replacing our radiator and did it with a smile! Thanks for getting us back on the road!

Higway rubbery over priced and they will charge you even if they dont preform any service to your vehicle. At $160per hour for ur vehicle to seat at their shop and do nothing to it i think is ridiculous. Strongly do not recommend for anyone.

Called Big Tows for a tow on my car that broke down very late in the evening and spoke to an associate by the name of Anthony who not only went above and beyond to get me the best pricing, but had a driver by the name of Justin to me in the matter of 15 minutes! It was unrealistic! Never have I had a tow truck respond so quickly and had such friendly service from both individuals! I would highly recommend using them!

After my accident, other shops were telling me it would be a month or two before they could look at my tractor. The day after calling Monika, she had my tractor at her shop and torn apart. After 3 weeks of hard work and going above and beyond dealing with suppliers and insurance, Monika and her team had my truck fixed and looking brand new.

My vehicle was towed, they was very accommodating and understanding with the pricing. I m not sure what her name is but whoever that nice women is from dispatching she was able to be flexible and very communicative with allowing me to pay a reasonable price for the days that my vehicle was being stored. They are very understanding especially when it comes to any circumstances that you may have. Big tow for the win! I appreciate this women again God bless her heart!

Im leaving Steve a 5 Star Review because he extracted my Chevy Silverado from a situation where I dont know how he did it. It was like a magic trick. Anyone else surely would have had to damage my truck the way it was pinned next to a tree, icy conditions, mud, but he was an absolute genius.

Big tows was timely, accommodating and personable. We unfortunately blew out 2 tires on the thruway. Customer service Is 00 the manager has Angel issue and hang on phone with customers after asking why she didn t explain for my driver how much it s will cost. I called road service. They come to me very fast. Next day they started working my truck. They replaced the Clutch. 3 weeks later they go back and they did it adjustment on my clutch for free. Big Tows towed same day, sending photo updates. Their online authorization made it easy to start the repair process. I had a tight turn-around to get the vehicle back and Monika and crew got the van back to us two days early. The van was repaired like new and was detailed out to boot! They even did our inspection that had expired while in the shop. Big Tows is huge resource to have if you have vans and trucks in the Tri-State area. Worthless. Those guys just take any advantage of situations. On Saturday 02/18/23. My truck broke down. They asked 1,200 to tow my truck. Since I didn t want to pay all that many. They call the caps on me. And force me to pay 600 to move my truck of the highway. It just ridiculous.

It s a great local towing company. Not only for their great service but also graciously donated to our school year book!!

THE BEST ROAD SERVICE I HAVE HAD

Very friendly and courteous staff. My transmission gave out on my Peterbilt on the 287. They arrived under 30 minutes and I was towed back to their yard. They replaced the clutch and had it driving like new. Quality service, call them if you ever have a breakdown.

Highly recommended, I also have a towing and transportation company, much smaller, and way less resources. My wheel bearing seals were leaking and I had some jobs scheduled for the next day, it is extremely hard to get someone to work on vehicles same day especially heavy duty equipments. Everywhere I called said similar things, and when all hope was lost I was recommended to give Big Tows a call, the customer service was through the roof, they had my truck ready the same day ( mind you I didn t even call them early I called in the evening) they went above and beyond. They had immaculate hospitality and professionalism, an already extreme rare combination and on top of that they do everything in a timely fashion, all with fair pricing and labor rate, definitely will be going to them for all my maintenance needs. After a good convo with the boss lady, I wish to model my business like hers in the future, she is extremely bright and filled with experience and wisdom and great advices!!

My Isuzu box truck was in a pretty bad accident and they told us from the scene to their repair center where we first discussed the repair process. Big Tows has an awesome staff, who helped me from the moment I got into my car accident until I was able to get home safely. They truly offered me more support (in my time of need) than I had expected and more than I had deserved.

I live in Texas but worked in Massachusetts and left my car there, I flew up to Boston yesterday to pick up my car and 5 hours into the drive my car caught on fire around 1-2am on I-287. Big tow responded to my call immediately and within minutes were there to assist me and were very friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone who passes by here.
