Fat Body Customs in Stephentown

Not the best experience we've ever had. AAA sent these folks as our vehicle needed to be winched for icy conditions. $500 for this and tow. $125 Administrative Fee (when questioned, "Everybody does it") and $20 "Shop Supplies". Again I questioned that as well and was told "in case they need to repair grass or the sort" which was not done. This is a Buyer Beware..... Total cost was $696.60 for a 15 mile tow. No discount for AAA. Furthermore, the vehicle is worth probably $3000 or $4000 being parted out and they offered to keep it in lieu of the tow charge. Talk about taking advantage of a consumer.... I wouldn't use or recommend them.

When we needed help Levi was right there in 10 minutes. He evaluated the situation and got that car running. He also offered some helpful hints to make the motor run more efficiently.

Yesterday my check engine light came on and my car started sputtering. Josh came within about 40 minutes to tow me to the mechanic. He was so kind and knowledgeable. Really put me at ease about the whole situation. It’s nice to know there are still good people left in this world. Will definitely be recommending you guys to everyone.

I got a flat tire in Waterford NY yesterday with my work truck was told 45 mins for a tow to the garage Josh showed up in like 40 mins was very friendly. He was great at doing his job we laughed and joked around. Was truly a pleasure to deal with Thank you

They brake more than they fix take absolutely no responsibility for their mistakes and they destroyed my truck. everytime I brought it there I got it back with an enormous bill and three more things they broke completely unreliable I would only trust them to tow my vehicle if it was already totalled. They're poor workmanship and cost me thousands of dollars to have a real shop fix .

We were on our way home , needing to drive 3hrs to CT. We had a leak in our tire and found Fat Body to be the nearest auto shop. They were super nice and extremely courteous. After they examined our front wheel, they found 2 nails stuck in the tire. The nice gentlemen fixed our tire and charged a more than fair rate for the repair. These guys were great!
