Took my car on for oil change, and review. They pointed out a I needed new tires. Got that very quickly too. Great to work with, knowledgeable, efficient and kind. Highly recommend.

We took the car in for a routine oil change and it was done in no time. They were very honest and told us there were a couple of routine items that should be done soon. We have used them for at least 10 years or longer.

Absolutely the best shop. My 2014 Camaro is still like brand new and I owe to Stillwater Automotive. They have been my go to for the last 7 years and I drive from Sapulpa. I have the engines for life program on my car and the guys always keep it in warranty.

Dropped off my daughters Honda Accord overnight w/ over 250k miles. It was leaking coolant (not a hose leak). She had to agree to their diagnostic work when you drop it off, so I called them when they opened the next day to let them know that the vehicle is old, there are numerous non-critical issues (including a damaged shell on the side mirror) and I only needed the coolant system checked to repair the coolant issue. I told them I didnt want to be charged to tell me that I needed blinker fluid. They said they understood. Bottom line is they charged $167 for a full, bumper-to-bumper diagnostic analysis - which apparently is non-negotiable. All said and done, it cost $885 to replace a simple $70 thermostat/housing (locally sourced) and the premium BG flush. Im sure they did great work and they provided a full write-up w/ pictures, which I did not need, nor requested. I only took it to them because it was an emergency situation - nursed her car from OKC after 9pm to drop it off at a shop that I used to trust. I have moved from Stillwater and now use a shop in Tulsa that only tests what is needed and they let me know the cost before performing the service. Knowing what I know now, I would have driven it to Tulsa to a shop that wasnt going to fleece me. 10/3/24 Update: Stillwater Automotive (SA) reached out to us quickly to apologize for the overcharge on the diagnostic and they sent me a $100 diagnostic refund saying that it was an oversight on their part. Total cost is now net $785. I got a quote from my trusted shop in Tulsa and for the same service (R/R & flush) they would have charged ~$300. Kudos to SA for reaching out for a resolution. Bottom line is I believe they do very good work, Im not questioning that. Businesses partially base their cost and rates on supply and demand. If they charge pennies for their work, EVERYONE would take their car in for ANY minor issue. By raising their cost, it covers their expenses and overhead but also throttles back their workload to a manageable level. If you find a great shop, chances are they will be backed up for a while because they offer a great balance of cost and value. If you find a shop that gets you in quickly, that may be a warning sign. If youre on a tight budget, (college student or single parent), you may want to find a shop that is more reasonably priced.

Be Careful about dealing with these people and never get a battery changed by them. I have on 06 solstice that requires half an hour to change the battery which was done at Howertons for $50. Stillwater Automotive charged me $187 in labor which equates to three hours to change a battery. Prior to confirming with me that I wanted an assessment done to determine the battery or the starter they went ahead and did so and charged me an additional $70 making my total for a 2 year battery $486. They are not honest people and you should think twice before ever doing business with them. They are the definition of a crook auto shop that looks to excessively charge you without remorse. Whenever they told me the starter needed replaced I asked for a quote and it was $200 more than Extramile autocare who offers the same warranty and has employees you can actually trust. Basically if you want to be charged hundreds of dollars more than necessary under the claim of accredited acclimation then go with Stillwater automotive. Charged me over $290 to replace a brake switch connector that burned up. They did not express any remorse. I had a feeling it would be an expensive shop, but this crosses the line into absurdity and immorality.

Fantastic service, got my valve cover gasket replaced and all my fluids changed. They had really fast service and their customer service was fantastic!! When they finish an inspection of the vehicle, they send you a message with a link to document with their findings and photos. Very informative and knowledgeable people working there. Thank you!

Great work will not take my rides to anyone else

Stillwater Automotive is the best auto repair in town. Took my Jeep in for a misfire and needed a cylinder head replacement. Followed up consistently to make sure everything ran great. A few months later had an engine coolant problem and was completely covered under warranty. Also received a 6 month roadside assistance complimentary to my oil change. Got it in and out under a day. Would recommend Stillwater Automotive to everyone I know.

In the office for less than 2 minutes and caught them in a bold faced lie. Just imagine what they would have tried if they got my vehicle in their shop. IT WAS FLUID. THAT I NEEDED TO KNOW WAS THE RIGHT STUFF. AND IT WAS ALREADY BEING DONE UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. DONT NEED YOUR WARRANTY. I didnt give 2 craps if you had to charge me extra for the lack of markup. I wanted to verify the correct fluid was going in, per the TSB.

Brought the car in and was quoted almost $3000 dollars for a AC repair so I brought it to another shop who fixed it for less than a thousand. I decided to give them another chance and got an oil change and tire rotation from them and like some sort of sick joke they tighten not only my rims with an impact wrench to the point where it CRACKED THE TIRE IRON they also tightened my OIL NUT with an IMPACT WRENCH making it physically impossible to get it loose myself. I have to bring my car to another repair shop so they can loosen both my tires and my oil nut. I will not be making the mistake of going here again.

Very happy with my experience! Staff was very kind and helpful and I appreciated the breakdown of costs on what was expected before any work was done. I needed my alternator replaced and was very shocked by how fast it was completed. I was able to drop car off and pick it up all in same day.

I was traveling home to Iowa when the water pump went out on my Lexus RX350 on I-35 near the Stillwater exit. The person who towed my vehicle recommended Stillwater Automotive, and not being familiar with the area, I took his advice and had him tow it there. I am thankful for that advice . Melissa was excellent with communication, and the repairs were performed expertly and fast, especially given the labor intensive job it is on my specific make/model. It s stressful having your car break down on the road, let alone being by myself, and out of state where nothing was familiar. I asked for an estimate. After keeping my truck for a whole day they finally got back to me with a diagnostic for my entire vehicle. They wanted 5x what the part cost and then charged me 75 dollars to get my truck back. Probably a worthwhile service had I asked for it or been informed of the cost, but I wasnt. I dont know who will be working on my truck, but I know who wont be!

They replaced my headlight and charged me a crazy amount to get it fixed. Don t recommend.

Back in March they replaced my alternator, well my gauges started messing up 2 days after that and they told me that the alternator was fine. Well today that same alternator caught on fire because of wiring and they basically said it s not their fault. Do not recommend them.

I went in here to get a regulator fix on my window, I was somehow charged for them taking it apart to find what s wrong then putting it back together after and them taking it apart and putting it back together with the right part, I pick up my vehicle I go to roll up my window it s completely out of alignment it s literally popping out of my door, go inside they fix it I get it back they ve scratched my tent completely on the window, which they said they would pay for , rightfully so but I didn t get a single apology I wasn t even offered a discount for the trouble of my car wasn t even fixed when they said it was

Nearly $500 for a battery replacement. They didnt input the anti theft code after the repair so I couldn t use my radio, and various alerts and check engine lights were apparent so I m guessing they didn t test the vehicle after switching the battery. I initially brought it in because the vehicle had trouble starting, and they performed what appeared to be a thorough diagnostic service and suggested I have them do a lot of extra work. They gave the vehicle back to me and after two days it was still having trouble starting. I brought it back today and they suggested a $600 repair unrelated to the starting issue. While my initial documents from the shop state that the starter came back with no issues, on the second trip to the shop they noted that the starter was on its way out. They were pretty squirrelly about all of it. Customer service is nice and the lobby is nice but I just want my car to start and wanted to have a trustworthy mechanic in Stillwater but this ain t it. Suggest that they keep a focused eye on the priorities and leave off pushing extras until they get the job done correctly the first time.

Went to Stillwater Automotive with the task of trying to figure out why my transmission was slipping in my Subaru Outback. Had them do an overall inspection on the vehicle, learned that a few other things should probably get fixed as well. Called them to have them do a Transmission Flush and Melissa was very honest with me and told me that this wouldnt fix anything and would actually possibly make things worse. Its hard to find honesty in a mechanic from my experience and I appreciate the total transparency. The inspection however was very thorough with pictures and itemized pricing and what it would be to fix everything. Am thankful for Melissa and the team for being so speedy as well. Thanks guy, my husband and I will continue coming back to your shop.

Very satisfied. Appointment made at 1pm on the same day I came in. Tyler very helpful. My undercar flash pads were reattached and all for under $50. I had concluded the repair would cost me $500 to $900 based on my thorough internet research and concluding I would need to buy replacement parts and pay for installation.

Had the transmission flushed. The next day the transmission line came loose and I lost most of the transmission fluid on my garage floor. Contacted Tylar and he immediately return my call. He came out the next morning and fixed the line, put fluid in it and drove it to the shop. Made the necessary repair and brought the Jeep back to me. He also cleaned the garage floor. I really appreciated how fast he fixed the problem and the fact that he took the time to clean the floor. I will have no problem returning to Stillwater Automotive.

This is the only place I take my cars for over 10 years now. They explain car repair to me and help me get estimates before I commit. Stillwater Automotive is the best!

Friendly staff, quick and efficient service. I like that they include the oil filter in the oil change instead of trying to up sell it later, and I like that they did a vehicle inspection but just handed me a printout of the findings instead of trying to talk me into anything. I hope they offer their $40 first-time-customer oil change special as a loyalty reward to returning customers a few times a year!

I brought in my 2014 chevy cruze which is sadly at the end of its life, and Tylar was especially helpful in guiding me on what to look for when purchasing a new car as well as helping me learn what all was wrong with my current vehicle. The whole staff was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, and I cant say enough good things about them!

My father has been trying to get my brothers vehicle fixed and he called and spoke with Kayla to set up an apt. She confirmed the appointment and he showed up first. She said that first come first serve. So that s exactly what he did. He said that he was there for the appointment and was eager to get it looked at and she said if you say so ... lots of unnecessary attitude. And basically gave my dad the run around.. said that there were 5 cars getting looked at first and that it probably wasn t going to happen today Mixed signals much?... poor communication and bad attitude. Alittle pricey but they do the job RIGHT.

Came in asking for them to check 3 things. Then they bill me for 1.75 hours labor for helpfully checking my fluids and other lights that I did not mention. Cost me over $200 for a piece of paper half filled with things I already know. Total ripoff.

First, I am so grateful to my extended family at Stillwater Automotive for taking excellent care of my 2007 Ford Fusion (with nearly 250,000 miles) since 2015. Secondly, I recently drove to Chicago and back with the confidence that my vehicle was road-ready. I had it serviced before the trip to include an oil change. Once on the road, I laughed as I realized a synthetic oil (blend) was used. As a result, my vehicle performed superbly throughout the trip. In Chicago, my family members even commented, You have a great mechanic! So, again, I cannot thank my extended family enough for keeping my car in tip-top shape! I made a appointment for 8:00 am dropped the car off . Called 11:00 they said they would get to my car after lunch. I drove by at 2:00 and my car was STILL not worked on! Not sure WHY you make an appointment if they are just going to push you back on the time they get the oil changed???? Not happy!!! I had to get my mom up early to pick me from the shop and I have a son with autism and waiting definitely isn t something he does well with. Never have I ever had to wait more than 6 hours for a oil change!( and I had a APPOINTMENT)

The girls up front are AHHMAZING; I cant say enough good things about the customer service and work they do at Stillwater Automotive. My dad passed away last year and, like many other dads, he was the one who took care of all the vehicle/machine maintenance. I brought my car into a handful of other places before Stillwater Automotive, and almost all of them treated me like I didnt know enough (because I dont). One of the businesses even made fun of me for not knowing the name of a part. It was SO REFRESHING to call Stillwater Automotive and be talked to with respect. They take the time to explain things to me, are upfront about costs, and get the work done in a timely manner. But more than anything, I appreciate the fact that I can call them or walk in and feel comfortable and not be looked down on.

My charge light came on Friday night. I dropped off my vehicle on Saturday. Their parking lot was almost full, so I knew they had lots of cars before mine. On Tuesday, they were able to complete a warranty replacement of my alternator. They had replaced it in last year, and it was under warranty. I appreciate their honesty and integrity in dealing with me. It was a pleasure to talk with the office staff. They are always good to help me understand whats what.

I appreciate how thorough they are with my vehicle. They explain everything and provide detailed resources for me to refer back to. There are employees who are dedicated to customer service, paperwork, and pricing. I never have to wait for someone to answer my call or help me when I walk in for my appointment.

My engine oil light came on and I took my car to an auto store to pick up oil. Then my car wouldn t even start. Kayla was really calm on the phone and told me to run back into the store to get a jump. This saved me money on a tow. Once I managed to get back on the road, I headed straight to them and they checked it over. My battery was a dud and they got me taken care of right away. Very thankful for their service.

Very helpful and knowledgeable people. Charges are slightly on the higher side of things but the things they recommend of doing to your car will usually be good for it.

I took my vehicle here to have the air conditioner inspected. After I got it back, the air conditioner was worse than when I took it to them. The technician was pretty sure it needed a certain part. After another $153 for that, it still doesnt work. I dont have any more money for them to guess what part my car needs. They also found a coolant leak and quoted $400 for a hose that I could get directly from the Chevy dealer for about $95.

I had my AC fixed here, and not only did they do it in a timely manner but all of the staff were awesome to work with. Been looking for a good place to have my truck worked on in Stillwater... I have finally found a place! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

When my check engine light came on, I went right to the shop without calling. They did not have room that day. They did read the code to make sure it was safe to drive. After finding out it was okay to drive, I booked the next appointment. They recommended the necessary repairs at a very good price. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else!

The staff was nice, but I got an oil change and they didn t tighten the drain plug all the way so my car was slowly dropping oil. When I called, they were super understanding and willing to top off my oil! Good experience, just a little issue, but nothing that can t be addressed and fixed!

I generally do my own auto maintenance, but sometimes those things come up that you need a professionals knowledge or tools. I know enough about auto repair to know they are not ripping me off or over charging for their work. We have all our mechanical work done here. NEVER any issues with shoddy work. Recently had a dont know why this is doing that with a transmission flush. They stood by their work, tracked down the issue (took a couple of weeks) and even reimbursed for a rental. Good communication and they were never condescending or blaming. We will never use anyone else.

Perfect and efficient service

I have received consistently high service from Lonnie and Co. over the last three years. They communicate well and you dont have to wait for a ride.

Provided a detailed diagnostic of my car and made sure to call before they started any work on it, don t know what more you could ask for.

Stillwater Automotive is always very professional in their work and they keep you advised of pending maintenance you may need.

By far the worst service I have ever had. I had a bad brake line and was told that it would cost $300 to fix. A few days later Lonnie called a key and said it was going to be a little more than expected. When I went in to pick up my car I was given a bill for $1600. I was blindsided and to make matters worse when I got in my car the brakes still weren t done right. DO NOT GO HERE!

My son is a student at OK State. We needed a place for him to take his truck. Stillwater Auto is honest and fair. They could have easily taken advantage of a college kid with parents to far away to help. But they took good car of my son and earned my respect and business for the rest of the time my son is at OK State.

I go here mainly for oil changes and they always get it done super fast and they dont break the bank. I recently went here for a battery issue and they were able to find the problem and install a new battery in just a few hours. They gave me a ride back to campus so I could make it to classes while they worked and they even picked me up when my car was ready. 10/10 great people and great service.

Accommodating

They do a great job and are honest, hard working people. My favorite thing is their new program that texts you the list of recommended repairs, a picture of your vehicle, and why its important to get it repaired. Very handy and easy to understand.

I only take my vehicle to Stillwater Automotive. Lonnie Daugherty is a good man and he runs a good shop. His employees are skilled and do great work. He keeps you informed every step of the way.

I had not had extensive automotive repair since purchasing my 2010 Nissan Sentra. I have taken my vehicle to Stillwater Automotive twice and each time they have been extremely courteous, helpful, patient, and honest. There is a reason they have been in business in Stillwater so long. When people ask me where I take my vehicle for repairs, I enthusiastically recommend Stillwater Automotive. I had repairs complete two summers ago and have not had issues with the repairs and I recently had some more extensive strut and shock work done and my car drives like brand new.
