I have a lot done here. I trust them and they are competent. However, 142 bucks for an oil change? At least double what I’ve paid other shops. Shop elsewhere for this routine service.
Honest, fair and talented bodyshop these guys do super nice work! I brought in my Ford Fusion for rust repair and they did an incredible job! I'm very particular and I'm so 9 impressed with how it turned out! There was a lot of rust, now you'd never know! They were fantastic to work with and kept us up to date on where things were at during the project. We're most certainly going to use them going forward for all of our vehicle needs! Give them a try if you actually want to have a a good experience at a repair shop!

I had a fuel pump and a fuel filter replaced, they gave it back to me with the leaky fuel line twice, charged me over $1,000 and it still leaks. Cost me four days of work, not sure why you wouldn't check to make sure it's not leaking before you give your customer back their vehicle, then they lied to me about when it was going in after I explained to him I had running around to do left it sitting in the parking lot untouched for hours while I was stuck and could have been getting s*** done. I'm irritated as hell with their lack of communication and then flat out lying about how long it's going to take, or when they were going to get it in.
I wish I could give this man 10 stars. As a single mom/ single car household this place has saved my butt more than one time! Fast service and rental cars typically available on site. So kind and knowledgeable. They always explain everything out and answer all my questions. They never make feel dumb as someone who knows nothing about cars
I just wanna say this place is amazing. We traveled from Texas to Minnesota in our Class A Winnebago motor home and the engine driven air conditioner stopped working. Needless to say, while driving it was HOT inside the RV. When we finally arrived in Stillwater, I tried calling numerous repair shops advertising air conditioner repair. Unfortunately, as soon as they hear the AC was in an RV they ALL said they don’t work on RV’s. Fortunately my son recommended Matt Hall, owner of Stillwater Collision & Mechanical. Matt said he would look at the AC and if it was simple he would fix it. It turned out the repair was not simple. The AC condenser had a large leak. After evaluation Matt and the Aron, the Technician, recommended the condenser be replaced. Matt took the time to locate the part in Chicago and had it priority shipped to Stillwater. Matt’s technician Aron worked 5 hours on the unit and did a perfect job, exceeding my expectations. The price was fair and reasonable, everyone was very professional and a joy to work with. Excellent experience all around. The Stillwater Collision & Mechanical deserves a 10 star rating.
Very pleased with the service I received here. My car was hit while parked, and it was all cosmetic, but the shop went above and beyond making sure my car was OK. Additionally, they improved upon a repair done by another shop that didn’t do so great of a job. They did this without asking, and free of charge. Also, they cleaned the exterior of my car! I pulled up to the lot seeing my car in the same condition it was in when it was new. Matt explained every process very thoroughly which I appreciate, since a lot of places try to fool young people. Oil change prices and general repair prices are very fair.
Searching for a trustworthy and business with integrity to repair your collector car or regular commuter? Your search is over, you found it. I recently became the next custodian to my late grandfather's '83 Volkswagen Rabbit and I had an unfortunate run in with a deer north of Scandia. After researching with mixed results of possible candidates to not only repair, but entirely repaint and recondition the body of my grandfather's car, I found Matt at Stillwater Collision & Restoration. Up front, Matt was transparent about the challenges that would be faced to repair and recondition a car of this age while balancing a reasonable budget. He was up front about timeline expectations and continuously keep me up to date via text over the three months he had the Rabbit. I could not have been more happy with the quality of work that he and his team performed on the car; in the words of my grandmother, this work was something that would have made my grandfather proud, and you can not place price on that. There is a face behind this local business backed by a strong handshake. If you want quality work backed by integrity, there is no other place to go in the St. Croix River Valley.

I had a wonderful experience with Stillwater Collison. I had a nasty little corner gouge on my drivers door, and they repaired it within a day. Very nicely done and I was charged less than I was quoted, so I was very pleasantly surprised by that. If I ever have anymore auto body issues, I am definitely taking it to them again in the future. I highly recommend them. Thank you to everyone there that helped me out.

Used them for multiple repairs. Prices were always fair and they did what they said they would do. Recently I was doing a repair myself and didnt have the tool I needed, they borrowed it to me. Not a lot of places like that anymore.

Family tried this shop out a while back to get an odd ticking noise figured out. Long story short, weve been in 2 maybe 3 times and they still havent fixed it. Went to a different place last week and found that the problem was metal shavings in the oil which was ruining the engine. It would have been nice if we knew the correct problem early on.
These guys were awesome! I had gone to a couple other places in town for estimates, the first one said it was too risky to try and replace the part and the second one was not interested after I told them it was not an insurance job. Stillwater collision not only replaced the part, they did a perfect job and exceeded my expectations. The price was very reasonable, everyone was there was very professional and a joy to work with.

I ended up calling this shop around the holiday in need of some assistance. I was looking to purchase a vehicle at that time and was looking for someone who knew about cars to take a look at this particular vehicle. Well, Tony REALLY helped me out. He was kind enough to go and test drive the vehicle and give me an honest report of his findings. He was my angel in disguise. I ended up not purchasing that vehicle, but finding something much better. I am not in the area but will forever be thankful for his service. For me, this business carries a major trustworthy factor. If I were in the area and needed services for my vehicle, I would DEFINITELY bring it here. Courteous, patient, professional, and honest. Thanx again Tony!

The workmanship in painting my vehicle was outstanding. Im a new resident of Stillwater with no knowledge of area body shops. I was most concerned about quality of work, however I was also pleased to find Stillwater Collision easy to work with. Dennis the mechanic made my day! I thought I was in need of a front brake job on my 2014 Charger. He called me to let me know the brakes did not need to be replaced. I have been going to this place for about 18 years and they have been a GODSEND! I wont let anyone else even touch my vehicle (Dennis, youre the best!). Ive had my fair share of vehicles over the last decade and all of them I have brought here, for both mechanical & body work & Tony will always do whatever they can for me, insurance or out of pocket. If theres ever an issue with my vehicle, I can call Scotty or Tony always tell me to just bring it in today : ) I feel 100% assured that I am always getting the best service here and they always do whatever they can to get the job done quickly and with the least amount of money. When I was looking to purchase a used vehicle from a maplewood dealership, I brought it in to have Dennis give it the once-over..not only did he NOT charge me for it, but he went through the entire vehicle, making sure it was good to go and almost 200,000 miles later, I still have that vehicle. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Tony Grover runs a professional and friendly shop. No jelled-back front desk guys. Their mechanics are mostly competent and straight-shooting. But this is not a dealership! Spent 175 for AC work to be told my Odyssey must be taken to Honda dealer for fix. A week + 175 wasted. Disappointing outcome.
Tony is always so attentive when youre in need of any type of automotive attention. Prompt service without an appointment. Cant plan when something is going to go wrong, and he is there with the remedy on spot!

This post is to give some well deserved recognition to the folks at Stillwater Collision&Restoration for their great thoughtfulness and caring of a senior citizen by plowing the driveway of 95 yr old Helen Torelle so she is able to get up and down her very steep driveway for her daily walks by Mckusick Lake during the winter.They have been doing that for a number of years now,never having been asked to do so and expecting nothing in return.Helen has expressed how thankful she is many times for their wonderful deeds.This world truly needs more folks with hearts and generosity like that! Bravo to you folks and many thanks!!

After keeping my car for a week longer than promised and no word, I called these guys and found out theyd only done a third of the work. When I tried to pin them down on a completion date, I was told a different story by each person I talked to. When I finally talked to Tony (the owner) again today, he said I should pick up my vehicle as is, because they were done with me. This, even though he knew Id just had major surgery and cant drive, so I had to find 2 other people to come with me (to drive my car and theirs away). So today a friend, my daughter and I arrive to pay the bill and get my vehicle, and the whole time Tony stood nearby mocking and taunting me for being fired by them, like a middle-school bully (while the office woman stood there smiling)! And he actually yelled Have fun in hell! as I left the office. They make promises they dont keep, and the owner is a Trump-like moron who actually took pride in knowing hed insulted and upset me--a 55-year-old woman just out of the hospital, and all this in front of my teenage daughter! Horrible people, and I feel terrible that I actually paid them my hard-earned money.
The guys at Stillwater Collision do great work and they have very competitive prices. If you dont want to pay a dealers rates, bring your car here!
I never wanted to look up a shop for body damage, but I am so glad I found this place. Not only did they flawlessly repair damage to my van, but they made it easy to work with the insurance company handling the claim. I have been back twice since, and I have been blown away with how honest and friendly Tony and the entire staff is when working on my vehicles. Even when I insisted on paying more, Tony politely refused and only charged me for the work he did.
Car took 6 weeks. We live almost an hour away and they told us multiple times days it would be done and we would stop in only to find out it was not done on numerous occasions. They charged us for a window that was never fixed. We have to drive out again and retrieve the check for that. They also took a part to the mirror off the inside and said they would repair it. We stopped in the day they told us to, to get it done and they said it would be a few hours. We informed them that we had plans and asked if we could schedule a definate time then. They said no, we will for sure get to it today. They never called............shocker. Another Saturday wasted dealing with their crap! Ugggg...........I dont even want ramble on more, but I could. Lets just say this was one of the WORST (if not the worst) customer service I have had to deal with. Response to Owners response: A few days ago my Husband suggested the idea of going back to your shop and getting another paint job. He then looked @ the google review I posted and agreed with me about the Customer Service part. I find it curious that you did not address the issues I had with your service. The issue was that we set aside about 4-5 xs to come in and pick up the car when you said it was already done and it was not. We would then come in to find out that it was not, in fact done and to come back later in the day and that you would call. You would not call even! We would then be out another Saturday waiting around the area for a call. We live an hour away. Addressing the issue on the parts: My husband actually looked up a great site for you to get the parts and lined up the parts for you! You told us you could not find the parts and he found them for you within a few days. All you had to do was install the locks, window, and do a paint job. You did a great part on that end of it. The vehicle is an 87 cougar. Maybe you are not capable or intimated to work on these vehicles and perhaps should not in the future if that was intimidating to you. What you should not have done is led us on to believe on multiple occasions (after calling in on our own to see how far along you were) to tell us to come in and pick it up!!! I understand parts take a while to come in the mail. They did not take 6 weeks, and it did not take 6 weeks for the car to dry. This was not a case of neglectful work or a matter of not having the correct parts. This was a case of bad customer service and TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION on your shops end. Wow, amazing how you did not choose to address that. 1 more customer totally lost. I would suggest in the future if a customer has a complaint, address that particular complaint. Dont make up other excuses avoiding the actual issue. You took up many hours of our time driving out to Stillwater. We chose your shop because my uncle recommended you and he lives in the area and so does my Mother. Driving out a few times was not a problem. Driving out multiple times being told you were actually done and it was waiting outside was a problem. Your lack of customer service and communication was a problem. We found you the parts! Try again, or maybe in your shops case try harder.
I had a great experience. I was about to take my car to ABRA, but a friend of mine suggested I try Stillwater Collison. I stopped in one day to get an estimate. I was impressed with Tony and he was easy to talk to. I like the fact I didnt have to dink around with a car rental place because Tony provided me with one. My car was done when promised. They went the extra mile and vacuumed the interior. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of his work and the customer service. I highly recommend this place.
The staff were great to work with and the work was done very well. Having a loaner option was great. They also cleaned the car both inside and out which was a fantastic extra touch. Cant really comment on pricing as that incident was paid through the other persons insurance, however I do very much like that Tony was the only person willing and able to give an on-the-spot rough estimate for some hail damage, that I have yet to get repaired. Everywhere else said theyd have to have the car for a day and get a special person out to get just an estimate.
Experience was ok, but the air pollution of their neighbors is rediculous. Clean up your act!
To start, Im not one to write reviews, but the service at Stillwater Collision was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, and the time in which the repair took was quicker than expected (flange broke on muffler and a sleeve was welded on in place). I ended saving 75% from buying an expensive $430 stock muffler and having to install it myself. Also was given a loaner vehicle to use for the 2 hours that it took. Will definitely come back for future repairs!
Raving fan! Great service, reasonable and well done work. We had two accidents within a week. These accidents involved two different insurance companies. Stillwater Collision took care of both. Fixed our car so it looks brand new, work was done a day early and car was returned cleaner than we brought it in!! Highly recommend.
I needed a replacement bumper which they ordered and had painted prior to my arrival so they could finish all of the work in one day. While putting on my bumper, they noticed a few light scratches on the trunk so they filled and polished them. It looks great!
Tony and his team were very accommodating. I totalled my car and they quickly got it estimated and taken care of with my insurance. They let me use a nice loaner car while I was waiting. I would definitely go back to them again. They were very helpful and nice.
