I recently got rear-ended in my Audi and was devastated because I thought it would never be the same. Boy was I wrong. I asked so many people places where I should bring my car to get repaired. Caprara s was hands down the most mentioned name so I gave them a shot. Best decision I ve made. They did an outstanding job. Literally perfect. Literally better than when I bought it if that s even possible . Body lines are dead on. Paint is color matched in every light. My color is a color shift from 3 different colors and it looks like it was painted at the Audi factory in Germany . I am nothing short of ecstatic. They had my car for less than a week! Shout out to Jeremey for making the process so painless. I will never be going to anywhere else for auto body work.

Ive been bragging about Capraras to friends and family so thought I should share here as well. We brought our 2019 Forester in for repairs in early April 2024 after a hit-and-run left a huge dent and potential broken bracket in the back end. They are so friendly, their prices were reasonable (we didnt go through insurance for various reasons), a free loaner was included, and they did SUCH an amazing job -- Im not sure the car even looked this good when we first bought it. After they finished with the damaged quarter they cleaned up all of the other nicks and scratches, and even popped a misaligned piece of the plastic bumper back into place. All said it took about three days and for folks in downtown Troy, the location cant be beat. While I hope we dont get hit again (unlikely, since we park on the street), I feel better knowing the team at Capraras will be there to put her back together good as new.

I tried to fix a small blemish on my 2020 BMW and made it much worse. I visited several body shops and detail shops with no luck. I literally lost sleep over my mistake and the damage I did. The Works detail shop recommended Caprara s. I visited on a busy late Friday afternoon and didn t expect anyone to even look at it. They could not have been nicer. Within ten minutes the spot was back to new. I can t say enough about their courtesy, knowledge and professionalism or beyond reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!

Ive had to have my 3 year old car repaired twice in a year. Both times the team at Capraras, made it like new again. Literally, even the inside was sparkling like new, as they took the time to wash and shine it up inside and out! They make the process easy and stress free.

Within just a few days of busting the front bumper and radiator support on my little hatchback by sliding off the road this past winter, Jeremy had found me a junkyard with new parts and a time slot to get me straightened out. I was back on the road as if nothing had happened in less than a week and will not soon forget how generous and hardworking the whole team was there! I was given the name of this business from a friend after waiting a month and a half for Lia Collission to fix my damaged car and being told 3 days before my appointment, they were unable to find parts. I called Caparars and was told I could come right over, got an amazing estimate, that saved me money and in a weeks time, they got the parts, gave me a loaner car and fixed my car. One of the best places I have ever done business with, car looks great, highly recommend them.

I wouldnt take my car anywhere else for body work. They have done flawless work on both my car and my fiancés car, and they go above and beyond to help you during the process. When the other drivers insurance didnt want to pay up front for my rental car, they gave me one of their loaner vehicles and then successfully fought to get the insurance company to pay for my rental car. Cant recommend them enough!

Bob and his team are awesome. No one would touch my carbon fiber roof, but these guys saw me the same day I called. They did some research then ran me through multiple options and even corrected course half way through when another issue came up. These folks are the best, they have worked on my cars a few times. Difficult pearl paint match, perfect! They have been in Troy for many years doing high end cars. Today my wife stopped and they didn t know her from Adam . She had a couple spots of something on the hood of a metallic paint. I was afraid to touch it, so advised her to go see the Caprara s . They looked at it and said they would get it off. They did, she offered to pay, they said no charge. Great people, sooner or later we will need work, they will do it.

Just a few weeks after treating myself to this last year I experienced some major hate with someone keying the front panel right where I d be forced to see it every time I got in or out, along with a few other things to damage it. At the time I wasn t in a position to have it repaired so I just had to live with it and be unhappy about it. Well, a year later I can t thank Jeremy and his whole team over at @caprarasautobody enough for the amazing work they did to restore this beautiful machine back to its full potential. Not only did they fix what I asked for but they went above and beyond by fixing some other imperfections they noticed to surprise me. It really speaks to the quality of their work when they aren t willing to let something roll out of their shop without being complete. I m grateful to them for bringing back my ability to smile about this accomplishment.

Who likes it when they need to get work done on their car? Ill answer for everyone and say no one!! Lol However, I had an accident and work was needed. I went to the shop the day the accident happened and Bob took it in immediately and explained by showing me exactly what happened and what he could see was damaged, he walked me through everything and what I needed to do for insurance etc and was so personable that I honestly was in a better mood the entire day after I left, who leaves a car auto body shop in a better mood than when they came in?! This company should teach other companies how to treat customers; I brought my car in that had been hit twice while parked, not only did they do an excellent job on the two specific areas that had been damaged, they took care of a section of the vehicle that had an extremely dull finish to it and made the entire vehicle look brand new and on top of that, they also offered me a loaner car while my own vehicle was being worked on and saved me several hundred dollars!! These guys are amazing. You dont know if your body guys is good until your 4 year old son decides to scratch stars in the door you just had painted. Because Capraras did the paint correctly and had plenty of clear coat, these mind blowing results were possible without repainting the door. They simply lightly sanded and polished. Great people, great work, VERY fair prices

I am a mom of 2 and a business owner. So we all know time is of the essence. I recently had some bad luck with my vehicles and had to bring both of my vehicles here for work. First was my 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 they did and amazing job fixing the big fat blemish on the rear quarter panel! Then less then a week later my 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 Dually was hit by a plow truck. At that point I new I had to bring it to Jeremy at Capraras auto body! They are all so friendly, nice and will to help. Jeremy helped walk me through the steps I needed to take so nothing was confusing. He assisted me in getting a rental and explained the process. They stand by their work and are extremely timely! It s nice to find a place who truly cares about your car and your experience and just your money. I will never use another auto body shop. I suggest if you like quality work and love your car ... you visit Capraras auto body in Troy next time you have bad luck with your vehicles.

If you want your car worked on by knowledgeable honest people who love cars, this is the place to go period. Made an appt to install an aftermarket bumper on my Audi S5. Shipped the bumper directly to the shop and went in for the appointment a few weeks later. I was initially afraid about bumper fitment, but they were able to trim areas of the crash bar to fit the bumper on nice and snug. They also fabricated a custom bracket to fit my front camera on properly. They even ended up painting the intercooler black to hide it behind the new grill, even though I didnt ask. And it looks that much better for it. Paint job on the entire bumper was also done exactly as I asked. And to top it off, price was very fair. The entire process was done in 3 days. If I need any more body work done in the future, I know where Im going.

Top notch service...each and every person was super polite and nice to deal with. I met the owner and he was great, talking to each customer was impressive. Jeremy was super knowledgeable and literally took care of everything, I had to do absolutely nothing except confirm some things to insurance on the phone. They also had some home made food that was delicious! The quality of the final product is literally mind blowing. It s almost too perfect ! Troys best kept secret!

I had someone hit my car and leave a note so I went through the other persons insurance. Let s just say the other insurance was a little bit of a pain. I was a little worried that this was going to be a nightmare but Jeremy and the guys at Caprara s made it so easy. They were able to get my car in within a week and had the rear bumper fixed and painted and my car back to me in 48 hours. They took care of everything from the rental to getting my ceramic coating covered by the other parties insurance, I didn t have to worry about a thing. I can t thank them enough for making it a smooth process. And the work is exceptional, like it never happened. Dings and scratches were gone and most importantly the paint matches! I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat.

The best customer service and the best body work around

Brought my car in and it s never looked better! Had both rear quarter panels done. One side was hit and the other had some small blistering spots over tire well, you can t tell it was ever hit or ever had work done. The paint matches perfect! The staff is awesome and go out of their way to help you. Bob and Jeremy were such a great help! I wouldn t recommend anybody else! Thank you all at Capraras for your hard work!

Save yourself a headache and time, dont bring it here. I had noise coming from the front tire area after they repaired my car, I had to take it to another shop to get it fixed right.

My girlfriends car was rear ended in August, and a co-worker referred me to Capraras. He told me not to bother looking anywhere else: just go to Capraras... so I did. I spoke with the owner Bob, and he was fantastic. I also spoke with Jeremy who was ALSO fantastic. Theyre thorough, easy to talk with, and great at communicating every step of the process.. I never once needed to call them for an update because they clearly outlined every next step. Even though that car was totaled by insurance, Bob and Jeremy advised me on how I should deal with the insurance company to ensure I get a reasonable payout. They genuinely care about your outcome from such a stressful situation. Even though that car was totaled, I ended up bringing back my Lexus to de-chrome the grill. I hate chrome. Yep, I hate it so much. I dropped it off for an expected three days, but they had it back to me in two with a nice satin black trim! How many stars can you give? Only five? these guys deserve a million stars!

A week before driving to the Carolinas for Thanksgiving, my Tundra was damaged after striking a tree in the rear quarter panel. I have had both good and bad experiences in the past with other body shops around the Capital District but nothing can compare to my awesome experience at Caprara s. Their attention to detail, ability to communicate progress updates, and efficiency while working with my insurance all made this usual painful process, a surprisingly pleasant process. My truck was returned with the interior cleaner than I dropped it off and the exterior looking as good as the day I bought it off the lot. Small body work needed, but that didnt equate to small customer service. Everyone here was excellent to deal with. Very professional, but like we were friends for years. Very thorough in their estimate, talked through the options, turnaround time was quick, and the job was spot on. Matching and blending pearl white like nothing ever happened. I had made an appointment to have my headlight bulb replaced because the bulbs are difficult to access in my Subaru. Due to a minor miscommunication I was not on the schedule, but the Caprara s staff was able to get it done for me within an hour or so, and free of charge! Despite the hiccup, I would go back there next time I need service for my car. Their staff was very friendly and accommodating!
