Had engine trouble. Got it towed to another shop but since I got oil change recently, contacted CarFix. They were very helpful, even got the car towed to them at their cost and found the issue and repaired. The repairs were much less than what the other shop thought I would need. I had a check engine light on , they charged me $3000 i called my husband who was oversees he said noo dont go ahead i told them no but still charged me $1200 , when my husband came he fixed my car he spent $120 for a part to fix it.

After a year of oil changes at 5k miles here, a tech did not fasten the oil cap on correctly last time. This caused me to need to purchase engine air filter in addition to oil change, charged by this business despite their negligence causing this. Disappointed in the service today by the rep. She took no accountability and unfortunately I do not plan on returning. Also never received the pictures of my car I asked to receive for proof of this supposed incident after almost 12h.

Nice staff. Honest work. Well stocked snacks, coffee and mini fridge. Had my car fixed same day and they had an employee drive me to/from home. Wish the part they had didn t cost 2x as much compared to online parts retailers, but they do warranty the work. Definitely will keep this place in mind for future work that I don t have the time for myself.

This is the best car repair shop , my rear passenger tail light was not working and they installed a new one for free. I am glad to have found this place because the ford dealership were telling me that the the starting price to fix was $300 and here they replaced it in less than 5 minutes and for free.

During an oil change, asked them to diagnose an unusual engine noise. Found the problem that was covered under a dealer extended warranty. They did not charge me for the diagnose. I highly recommend their work.

Although my repairs were not what I expected, they were needed because it was a safety issue and I would ve paid more for repairs in the future If Carfix had not found additional issues that were hidden, that the previous Mechanic had not found, Carfix even repaired that screw ups of the previous Mechanic and they showed Me and told me about it before they did any work. They even helped me With cost and get financing. They really worked as a team, and had my car back on the road in less than six days and it was a major job With a one year warranty For all the work they did. Now and in the future, the only place I will ever go to get any work done on my car is Carfix! I don t think I have ever experienced the honesty that I have here When it comes to repairs. From my experience, Carfix will not do anything that the car doesn t need Or if the car is even worth fixing!

My first visit and they did a great job! I drive an older car and I m always apprehensive that I m going to be upcharged unnecessarily when I get my car fixed. Their workers called me every time they found something and explained it very well to me. Will be a returning customer.

Dont ya hate going to the mechanic and feeling like your being lied to about what needs done and how much they will charge. This beautiful establishment not only has the transparency so many mechanics lack, but they will chop prices for you and treat you like a member of their family. Highly highly highly recommend this location and this crew of skilled mechanics. Got new radiator installed for 500 bucks less than big name shops quoted. Oh also if your vehicle is in the shop for a while they will take you to and from your home free of charge.

The experience was okay took over 8 hours to get an alignment but they said they were short-handed

Nick was very professional and up-dated us every step of the way. Our car was towed on Thanksgiving day and worked on and completed the following day.

(12/2024) Update on previous review since we have now had to make a few visits. We are still pleased with the service we are getting from Car Fix. The staff is always friendly and gives complete details. Will text pictures so we can see what is being repaired. Also, very patient while dealing with a younger driver who always seems to find issues with his vehicle. (03/2024)We re now a repeat customer. Although the management and staff are young, they are knowledgeable and trustworthy. They do not upsell anything and their estimates are spot on. They don t repair without approvals and do the job right the first time around.

I went to Car Fix recommended by my son an wife who had good experiences there. I had well over 100,000 miles but My 2 power windows in fr of my 2016 Hyundai broke. They asked if they cld inspect my car and found alot of things to fix b4 they broke and possibly left me stranded! Now my cars never run so well and dont hv to take out a mortgage 4 a new car. They even piked me up an brot me home an bak to shop few times. So glad I found them! Jan D.

I m a Canadian hockey coach, had a major transmission issue happen out of the blue while on my way to a hockey game at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena. It was late and had to leave my car overnight. Brought it to CarFix the next day and they were amazing. Were able to get it into the shop right away and very quickly assess the issue. Within a couple hours they provided a diagnosis that I was told would cost over $200. The workers there were great to deal with, and were empathetic to my situation, surprising me with no cost for the services! This was over the top in helping me in this situation. The car is likely a write off now and has to be towed back across the border, but the savings for me go a major way, especially with the exchange rate for us CDNs these days! Shakel, Gabrielle, Haydon and everyone else were so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend anyone to this business. I might even make the trip back if I need to make any tune up appointments with how helpful they were. If i could give 10 stars I would.

I had a (unknowingly) blowout tire, I happened to be across the street and called to see if they could help. The gentleman on the phone let me know they don t fix tires but could at least fill it with air. After figuring out I had blown the tire they put the spare on for me. As a woman, i always get nervous about going to an auto shop. I felt comfortable here. Every person I came in contact with was so kind and helpful. I will definitely return for any (non-tire) car issues I may have in the future. Super appreciate their help!!

I have been a Carfix customer for last several years and always had the good experience. They do a good and comprehensive job for the needed repairs. They provide a clear statement and explanation what they repaired so you, as a customer, knows what are the repairs and what you pay for. The staff are friendly and patient. Came in to check out the oil change offer that Car Fix Troy was offering. I was very pleased with the service & price. I verified that the full synthetic oil met the GMC requirements of my vehicle. I made an appointment for the next morning. Service was very prompt. I was in and out in a half hour. The price was as advertised. I would highly recommend Car Fix Troy. They did what they said they would do and did it fast. Great job!

1st there response time with a quote was super quick. I requested a quote on sunday night after they close and got a call back Monday morning. 2nd all work was explained and they even texted me a link with pictures and explanations on other stuff they found while doing the inspection. 3rd the work was done quick and the team was very professional. Huzaifa was very professional and knowledgeable about everything. 4th shop and waiting area is very clean and welcoming. In conclusion its the only place I will be going to for all my car work from now on. Great place and great staff. Prices are expected and never pushed for more than what is being told to you. Great experience. We were there for an oil change & to look at the windshield washer fluid hose & pump which squirrels destroyed when making a nest. They took our car in right away. Brought us into shop to show us under the car where the hose was that was an issue. Were very quick & very curtious. With the coupon for oil change, it was a fair price.

My first time here at Car Fix. I went in for a routine oil change and to have my rear lights replaced. During the overall car inspection, it was discovered that my front brakes were in need of replacement, both pads and rotors. The team was able to accommodate everything during my visit including offering me a discount as my oil change went to something more expensive and nothing I had anticipated. The lobby was clean. I loved the rocking chairs. They offered complimentary refreshments while I waited. The entire staff from Guest Relations, the manager and the mechanic were all super friendly and professional. Note, I overheard the manager say to another customer that he was actually filling in this week while the regular manager was on vacation. How awesome is that! I left the dealership where I purchased my car after five years due to the service, time it took to get an appointment, time it took waiting to get an oil change and the exorbitant fees they charged. I think I found a new home for my car needs. Thank you.

I ve always taken my Buick or GMC vehicles to the dealership but was upset with them over something they didn t reveal at the time of my purchase in 2020. I decided to find a repair facility that would replace them. Car Fix of Troy is right down the road and the reviews I read were excellent so I decided to try them. Nick got me in that same day. When I got there they were friendly and professional. They changed my oil and a few filters that were due to be replaced and I was out of there an hour later. I have found my new spot for all of the needs of my vehicle.

Unbelievably kind service!

Not the first time we took our vehicle to car fix and left dissatisfied, but I decided not to leave a review initially as it was still a new place and I figured it was maybe an anomaly or just a bad apple technician. Most recently, I noticed my wifes passenger side break light out a week ago or so. She stopped by Car Fix thinking it would be a quick easy fix. Whichever technician spoke with her told her that it wasnt a light bulb as he tried two different ones to make sure. Instead, he said that it was going to be an electrical issue and cost around $170 just to look at it/best case scenario. Turns out it was an attempt at smooth talking. My wife did not fall for it. She took the car to another shop where they installed the new bulb for $20. This was a clear attempt at a scam. BUYER BEWARE. Owner really needs to look at his staff and find out whats going on with the blatant scam attempt. We live very close and felt that it would be convenient to have a place right by us for the future. This was definitely the last time we try to give them our business. All trust is lost.

Even though Im an older woman, my questions and comments were treated courteously and with respect. I was given information without one bit of mansplaining. I chose to wait while work was done. I needed new brakes. I usually go to a well known chain, however, I thought that I would give Car Fix a try. Service provided to both myself as well as my automobile was outstanding. I will return.

I was there briefly, the desk guy was nice explaining a couple of things, however its unfortunate that they DO NOT offer any tires related work , just consider that if you are looking for that specific type of work.

I was lucky enough to be within close range to this auto shop when my alternator just about died. This is bar none the best customer service Ive ever received at an auto shop. They give you immediate and detailed updates on your car, including informative videos that explain the issue and what needs to be done to fix it. When I say this is the best customer service Ive ever received, I mean that its not even a competition. I was unable to pay for all the repairs that needed to be done on my car, and they worked up a pricing plan that I was able to afford. Everyone deserves a raise there, and I will absolutely be taking my car in to this shop if (knock on wood) any other future problems happen. Thanks again!

Have to say that my experience has been quite good. even when they screwed something up, they made it right quickly with very little effort on my part. to me, that is the sign of a good company. They do good work quickly, only do what I approve and tell me what else needs to be done but dont do it unless I say to do so. I recommend them to my friends.

I had to take my car in for a check engine light. Huzaifa kept me updated throughout the day with the issues that were found and the repairs that were needed, not only by phone, but also with pictures and videos so that I understood the issues and repais. Even though one repair turned into five, they were still able to have my car completed and ready for me at the agreed-upon time. Thank you so much.

I just needed an oil change but the people were very courteous and professional. They checked me in quickly and set me up with coffee and snacks. 15-20 minutes later I was back on my way. Ill be using their service again when I need them.

Best customer service experience ever! I stopped by to have brake lights checked, Huzaifa was so nice to me, he treated me with respect and have my car looked at right away even though it was a very busy time of the day at shop, my issue was resolved within 10 minutes and to my surprise he told me that the service was free of charge. BEWARE. Fraud! Stuffed my blower motor with seat filler where the cabin filter goes. All this in the fan! No way an animal did it. Come back if you have any problems. They want you to come back so they can charge you $600 for 10 minutes of work, pulling the fluff out that they put in! Unbelievable. Bet I m contacting authorities.

The team at Car Fix is consistently wonderful. They are fairly priced, and are kind. They accommodate in any way they can. Yesterday, I had an appointment, and after arriving, I had an emergency. Billy told me to go and deal with the car later. Luckily, I was able to return a few hours later, my oil change had been completed and he took the time to check in with me. There are not enough stars to offer this crew!
