Troys best is the best. The owner/ operator is kind, honest, and straight forward. The work they do is immaculate. This is where I will go from now on for anything and everything. I went for an insurance claim on the body and they even did a full internal detail on my car. Not only that but when I arrived he was hand washing it with a sponge. He says he is OCD. And as a mechanic in a different field, an OCD mechanic is what you want. He has amazing attention to detail and cares about everything that comes in. Khach is the man. Had experience with a local dealership who informed me that I needed to replace my front right axle assembly and gave me an estimate of over $1,000 (I was in for a simple oil change and tire rotation). Svc Advisor informed me that I should have this done before winter. Checked around for second opinion and came across Troys Best and noticed the positive reviews they received. Talked to the owner Knach who put my vehicle up on the lift and discovered the part did not need to be replaced, instead just cleaned. Knach then had me come back in two weeks to double check this and again found no leakage. Thank-you to Troys Best for being honest, professional and not advising me of unnecessary repairs. You have won a repeat customer.

Out of any place I have ever taken my car to, Troys Best Auto Body has the most personal and down to earth people behind it. They treat you like family and are more passionate about helping a brother out than they are about cars (and they are very passionate about cars). Aside from their high character, they charge fair prices and do quality work.

My engine started misfiring over the weekend. They got me in first thing on Monday, and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem (and do an oil change!) the same day! Came in after my car was broken into and they had my car inspected, repaired, and turned back around for me in only a few days while working with my insurance company. They kept me in the loop during the whole process and I appreciate their work! Will be returning!

I would give Khach (Pronounced Cash) and his business 6/5 stars if I could, and that is not something I say lightly. The team was very friendly to me as a newcomer and worked with me to find a solution in my budget for a car with extensive damage. They were able to fit us in quickly and finished two days ahead of schedule at nine days of repair time. Fast repair! I had questions about some of the items in the quote and the team was able to answer them in a way I understood. There was, in fact, one standard item that should have been damaged but wasnt and Khach and his team took the time to re-examine on request and agreed to take it off the preliminary and re-evaluate once the car was more taken-apart. Lastly, Mike drove to our apartment and picked us up when it was time to retrieve the car, which was above and beyond! As far as quality of repair... its been five days of *very* smooth sailing so far :- ) Also, not sure if the team vacuumed the car but it smelled REALLY fresh when we picked it up. I should also mention the team did a good job blending the colors - I cant tell the difference. There is some white sediment on the door that was blended but I was able to pick some of it off with my thumbnail so it will probably come off after a proper wash. If youre reading this and wondering if the repairs held up and the sediment washed off... they probably did! Otherwise I would have updated this review :-D This is the place to go.

PARENTS OF COLLEGE STUDENTS! Khach and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were very respectful, straight forward and extremely professional , exactly what I was looking for. We needed some engine repair and body work for my college sons car- following an accident. I was only going to be in town for one day and they were able to fit me in to provide me with a quote and had no problem keeping the car on site until the work was done free of change. I had gotten a few quotes and not only was his competitive but he did not make me feel like the quote might not be accurate and I might be way over like some of the other places I visited. He was close to target and even did some additional smaller fixes free of charge. (Replaced a hose no labor or part charge and filled the a/c so it would be in working order.) I felt like he understood that this old car needed to be in working order but I did not want to perform any additional unnecessary repairs. Keep it running and keep it safe. I would highly recommend this outstanding young man and his business to anyone and especially if you need your college kids car fixed- you will not be disappointed from start to finish. I was truly impressed.

Ive been here multiple times and theyve earned the right to be my go to auto body shop. I live in the neighborhood and they always take care of my wife and I. most recent visit we needed a donut put on her car due to a flat so we could go get a new tire for her car and they fit us in immediately and even put on her new windshield wipers within 20 minutes. My son was in my vehiclehit by another car and I didnt know what the process was gonna be and once I talked to him and he made me feel at ease also asked how my son was and if he was hurt that is someone with compassion and a good heart. Once he got my vehicle I already had an appraised value from the insurance company and of course it was very lowball. They just use pictures nowadays they dont come and look at the actual vehicle and see all the damage so then once it was evaluated it finally came out that the car was totaled.. well again I didnt know what this entailed I dont have any accidents like this under my belt and I didnt know what the process was, so again ketch help me with this . I want to thank Khach and his crew at Troys Best for yet another great experience. Everyone is always friendly and honest. They just fixed/repaired my car that was just in an accident. The work was not only done fast but it was done matriculate, my car looks better than before the accident. First off, I purchased my first car from the owner back in the early 2000s. I was involved in an accident with it and took it back to him, he made it look brand new. He is a nice honest guy and I will always go to him for auto body repair because I trust his work and I know it is good. Fast forward to now .my car need repair after collision (not my fault), so I called him up, we had a good talk and he advised me on how to go about handling business with the other party s car insurance company. I eventually got my car to him and it was then that I met his son Khach. He has the same great and honest work ethic of his father. He took great care of my car, and gave me a complimentary oil change because I was due for one when I brought the car in for repairs. I will never go anywhere else for auto body work. They re my faves!

So my son was in an accident with his Chevy Silverado, and Khach was able to provide a thorough and prompt estimate for repair. Since the insurance company of the person that hit my sons truck totaled the vehicle, no repairs were needed. Throughout the entire process, Khach was responsive and worked with me and the insurance company, fully knowing that he would not be doing any repairs. I literally WAIT until I come to Troy, from New Jersey, to have my car looked at here. They helped me out, tremendously when they had to fix an issue with my Honda Element. Some terrible mechanic in Philly ruined my exhaust, and they were so kind enough to properly fix my car. I was able to drive back home. 10/10 stars!!

I found Troys Best Auto while searching thru Google. I sent a message about the LED Brake lighr assembly on my old 05 Toyota Prius, and thankfully, knew a bit about the problem before contacting Troys Best. When one brake light goes out on a Prius, the whole assembly needs to be replaced. Its not a simple job and to have the work done at Toyota, would had cost me about $400! But, there were other things that should be checked first, like the possibility of a loose connector. We chatted back and forth a bit, and Troy Auto suggested a used part for costing about $125. But I explained I could get the parts thru Amazon for about 60-70$. Troy Best said that would be ok, they would install it. I did exactly that is and Troy Best installed it and only charged me $59.40 for labor. The job entails taking out half the parts in the rear of the car, so its not that simple. I was taken aback when I first got there, and thought I was gonna get burned for sure. To the contrary. Troys Best is the first auto repair shop Ive ever been to that didnt burn me, and they were very nice people. Theyre not far from my house either. Ill be going back in the future, for sure,. Finally, some relief from the high prices at the dealership!

I have an accura mdx and I went in with the check engine light on. Unfortunately, I brought the car in 3 times before they essentially told me their shop doesn t do the repair my car needs (after charging me over 800$ to replace parts that were supposed to turn the check engine light off). They referred me to another auto body shop which they said would do the repair for me but when I called that shop, they also said they don t do that repair. So I am out over 800$ with no place to bring my car.

All I can say is I left satisfied. My car was so loud due to muffler issues and I called and was instructed to bring my vehicle in. The service was Great and my car is quiet and strong. The wait was not long and it was constant communication during the process..

The back side of my Nissan Altima needs repair and they fixed it in one hour with a very reasonable price. The staff there is nice and cool, and their service was great. Highly recommend!

Staff are very helpful and friendly. I had issues with my front brakes for my Subaru, they figured out what the problem was and explained it to me. I took it the next day, and by the afternoon my car problem was fixed and ready to go. Would definitely be coming here again for any other issues since I go to RPI and the shop is a 5 minute ride from campus.

I have used Troys Best Auto Body shop twice now, once to repair a Kia when someone sidestepped it while parked, and this week when l had a small rust bubble on my Mustangs hood. Each car looked good as new when finished. Very professional and quite in tune with all my needs as far as questions and getting the vehicle finished in a specific time period. Working in the auto industry for nearly 15 years I ve used many different body shops. I can say wholeheartedly that Troy s Best is the most honest shop with the most fair pricing and turn around time. I recently had to have a repair done on a vehicle. It was not in a major accident but was damaged pretty good. After shopping around for prices the lowest quote i found was for $1250. Khach and his team are simply the best. The car that my son, an RPI student, drives needed to be fixed. Khach dealt with the insurance company personally and kept me informed proactively along the way. He even went the extra mile and buffed out the headlights for free simply because it would make the car safer to drive. As a parent, I appreciated the care and attention he took. These guys have saved me more times than I can count. They ve offered prices lower than anyone else, quality above everyone else, and have been a business I recommend to both friends and family since I ve first done business with them back in 2016. The work they do is phenomenal, and it s no wonder they re always busy as customers value their expertise. I ve never had to bring my car back there for the same problem twice. I ve gone to other shops to have repairs done, only to not work, whereas any work done by Troy s Best has been perfectly executed. Catch has been an extraordinary guy, and has always had my back. I d be lucky to find an auto shop half as good when I leave Troy in the coming year.

Khach catch and his mechanics have been wonderful. Found their shop online 2 yrs ago when the starter went out in our 13 yr old Toyota Sienna that our daughter has at college in the area. I didnt know what to expect since we live several states away; however, Khach & the shop have provided great service from the start. If there is ever a question, Khach will explain what needs to be done or will text me photos. (I am attaching a few photos below showing our broken spring, along with before/after images when our headlamps were refinished). Last year, they even stayed past their Saturday close to finish replacing the broken coil spring shown in the photo, along with shocks & struts so our daughter could leave for a long trip. Not sure if many shops would do that. Two year later, our van is now 15 yrs old and is doing great. We have been back for oil changes, new battery, tire rotation, alignment, emission test (instead of having our daughter drive it back to our state), etc. Just today, it was time for a major brake job, so I also asked Khach if they could do anything for our yellowed/oxidized headlamps. He suggested wet sanding which didnt cost too much, and now the headlamps look like new (see before/after photos below). Khach & team - Keep up the great work! John

Troys Best took such good care of me and I am extremely happy with their service! Another automotive shop left my lug nuts so loose that they could be unscewn by hand and were telling me my wheel bearing was bad. The auto technician at Troys Best found the loose lug nuts and made sure there werent any others left unscrewed and that my wheel bearing was fine. And he didnt even charge me for his service! This is the best body shop I ve ever know. I repaired my Volkswagen front door here. Dealer told me it should be 1500-2000 $ to replace the door. You know what? This body shop told me they don t need to replace it and the price is only 450$. They are expert and they will wash your car after they fixed it.

Fantastic service, they took great care of my corolla and fixed up some moderate scratches and paint blemishes inexpensively and done well.

I was in a very tight spot when my tire blew out and didn t have much time to loose because it was affecting me getting to work. Went in for an oil change. As far as I can tell they did fine and answered my questions generally speaking. However, the price was almost double of other places in the capital region and I didnt receive any info on my receipt for labor costs, what oil was used, etc, just the total charge. I didnt realize this at first because I didnt get a printed receipt. I also did not receive any kind of reminder sticker or other notification about when the next service is recommended, which has always been routine at other places. The people working here seemed nice but they really could have done more for what was charged or at least been more transparent.

This shop is one of the honest repair shops in whole Capitol land the older guy Walter is just a very honest and principled man also Khach his son knows what he is doing. They just repaired a minor thing on my bumper few months back and didnt charge a penny....Highly Recommended.

Filthy office, rude staff, came in for inspection, guy on phone turns his back on me. Another staff member saw me said nothing and walked away. Waited several minutes for service, never got off phone i eventually left.

The shop manager Catch was super easy to talk with and did great repairs on our 14 Chevy Cruise that had mechanical issues. This garage does engine repairs, etc- and did a great job on our car. Good service, honest assessment of the repairs needed and a fair price. Greatly relieved to find good folks doing honest work. They take good care of RPI and HVCC students as well as Troy, NY area residents. Highly recommend.

Lived in Troy for about a year and these guys are honestly the best mechanics ever. I was wary about seeing so many five star reviews and thought they might be fake. But they seriously deserve a five star rating. Dont be fooled by the how the office looks or the lack of pleasantries while taking calls. These guys are serious mechanics who will fix your car for a fair price. Be patient and you will not ever want to go to another mechanic again!

Brought my car here for a bumper cover replacement. Staff was all friendly and helpful and the turn-around time was quick. However, after a few weeks with the car & new bumper cover, I noticed that the color really wasnt right. It was in fact quite off from the rest of the car. I brought this up with Khach, the owner, and he apologised and offered to respray the bumper to attempt to get the color closer and, as a next step, offer me a discount on blending the paint into the quarter panels, something he had recommended initially. Well after the second respraying they nailed the color perfectly, no blending necessary. The whole experience was very easy, Khach was very good at communicating, very professional, and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the end result. Highly recommend.

As always I only write reviews for excellent service. My experience at Troys best was definitely excellent. Despite their shop being completely full with other vehicles, the staff at Troys best found time to squeeze me in. The quote I received was honest, accurate, and significantly less than the other two shops I had checked prior. The shop was clean and everyone who worked there greeted me with a smile and made sure I was happy. My BMW and my fiancés Hyundai both needed body work after a bad week (we both got rear ended). The work was done early and you would never be able to tell my BMW bumper was folded in half. The new bumper was aligned perfectly and Ive never seen paint match that flawlessly. The owners are honestly some of the nicest people Ive ever met. I cant say enough about how youre treated like family. Honesty and respect are hard to find these days..and theyll be the only people I deal with moving forward. If you even have a doubt just go in and meet them..they actually care!

The guys at Troys Best are amazing. Over the years I have lived in 4 states and been to countless auto shops and it is so often a nightmare. I can honestly say I trust the people at Troys Best 100%! As long as I live in the Capital Region, I will never take my car anywhere else. Ive had some crappy luck the last few years. One car totaled, lost a mirror while I was parked (twice), and had another minor accident a few weeks ago. Spent over a 1000 dollars at this place last time I brought my car in. Was great service and good work. Today I call for a price quote and the guy cuts me off multiple times and acts like taking a call is below him and before I can even finish talking the guy rudely hangs up on me.
