Roberts Auto Sales in Troy

Sold a car to my little sister, never registered it for her as they said they would, now went out of business so I m not sure if we can ever register the car. I can now see why they went under.

The car they sold me has many issues, check engine light came on only about a month or so after driving it. I didnt have any time this winter to bring it in but now that Im trying to call them, none of the phone numbers are in service so I cant even get in contact with the dealership or service shop. I called Deylon, Richard and the main number and all three were out of service. Now Im stuck with a shitty car and $6800 of debt.

This is the worst place to buy anything. I delt with Josh kownack, he would say anything to get you to buy anything. After telling me what total of car was when I went to finalize everything there was extra 800 for tax? His words where (price of car) out the door. I was under assumption out the door was everything? The engine oil was way over full like I asked him to drain and put between lines. The truck going in four times they still could not drain any oil out of truck. Then my mothers new truck she also bought there they over filled with transmission fluid and told us twice that they fixed the brake light. And did not do that either. Between the two trucks we put down 20k and they couldnt even check,top off, or fix anything with them. And even after buying there extending warranty too. Thank God I dont have to go there for the work.i wouldnt pee on this place to put it out if it was on fire.

Was in a accident recently and started looking for a new car. I found a couple cars at roberts auto and went to check them out. Justin and Dom were amazing and helped me pick out a kia Sorento and I was able to get the vehicle in no time.

The review everyone s been asking about! Went and picked out a car 2015 Nissan Rogue in April. Filled out application and gave bank account info as I was told. Received an email (attached) from Dan that day stating I WAS APPROVED and here s the VIN for insurance cards. Come tomorrow pick up your car! Yay for me right? Well, went in signed contract gave $2500 downpayment. They gave me a temporary registration and transferred my plates and handed me the keys. Sounds like a dream right? I drove away and not 3 hours later engine light came on, tire pressure light came on, and found out the car had been crashed. Took it to them and showed Dom the cracks and hole in bumper they missed along with several other issues. He said sorry can t help ya with that it s too much money to fix! They would only fix the rotted out gas cap lol. Well 6 days later they call and say the bank decided not to give me the loan because of my income. Hmm. So they were going to find another bank. I immediately called DMV and they have NO record of the car at all and my plates are still registered to my old car. I call them out and was fed lies and more lies. Their service guy decided him and one of his friends with a towtruck would come and steal the car off private property. Brought police with them, bad idea as they were committing a crime. Back and forth with these trashy people for weeks and finally Justin (owner) calls me and assured me he s going to fix this. I never heard from him again. They once again went to the same property to steal the car. Ya can t make this up. The owner called me and I immediately call DMV and the bank once again. Per DMV the car was never registered to me and there is NO TITLE for it and I should just park it. So I did just that and turned in my plates. What happened to it after that I had no idea. I was in hospital for 3 weeks and as soon as I got out I started receiving harassing phone calls from a man named Rich from Tri-City Repossession. Real prize he is. He even called my insurance company impersonating the bank that supposedly approved my loan. More to this crazy story but at the end the car was apparently towed to a garage where it sat and the police knew that. They now have the car back and refuse to give my $2500 back. The amount of fraud and lies from these people is disgusted. Do not trust them. Do not believe anything they say. And yes I will be getting my money back. They should be ashamed.

if I could give it NO STARS I WOULD terrible service DO NOT LEASE FROM THEM and if you do make sure a LAWYER reads over the contracts. A WHOLE SCAM FACTORY if you ask me. leased a car 3 months ago and ever since HAD ISSUES and they fix it to try to satisfy you but NO WORK GETS DONE. I even picked my car up after them having it 3 DAYS for nothing to be fixed and empty beer/liquor containers in my vehicle. TALK ABOUT MAD!!!! would never recommend them to anybody for SERVICE OF YOUR CAR OR TO LEASE ANYTHING FROM THEM EITHER SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN IN MY OPINION!!!! Very disappointed with service that I received from Roberts Auto Sales and would not recommend. I brought my Toyota Sienna to them to diagnose and repair a coolant leak. They determined it was coming from the water pump and charged me $1000 to fix the issue. I was comfortable paying this, as I was under the impression that Roberts Auto was an up-standing shop that would be able to take care of the issues with my vehicle. A day or so later, I noticed it was still leaking so I brought it back in to have them check it out. I was given a bit of a run-around as to the source of the leak this time and was asked to keep it topped up if I needed to drive the vehicle while the shop was on their Christmas/New Years holiday. I did as I was asked and made sure the vehicle was full of coolant every morning before starting the engine and driving. A few days after having them look at the failed repair, I was on the road and suddenly lost all coolant. After looking under the hood briefly, I also noticed that there were missing brackets that secured parts of the wiring to the engine, which they did not re-install after the initial service. This was over their holiday, so I had the vehicle towed to their shop and it sat until they came back. When they came back and eventually looked at it, I was told that it needs another water pump. At this point I was told that management was unwilling to help me with the cost of any further repairs. At this point, I have given Roberts Auto $1000 and hours of my time, only for them to tell me that they need to do the same exact job again, and expected me to pay them for it again. To quote Well, we cant do it for free, so Im not really sure what you want from [us] at this point. Would NOT recommend Roberts Auto Sales for anyone looking to have service done. I cant imagine what they do (or dont do) to the auction cars they push off the lot. Its a good thing I didnt trust them with a vehicle that I cared about

My first ever experience with a dealership was with Roberts Auto Sales and I m not sure it could have been any better. I bought a 2011 CTS-V Coupe from them after seeing it in a group on Facebook. Dan and Justin also aren t your stereotypical salesmen, they know just about everything about the cars they sell and as former mechanics and current automobile enthusiasts it s a whole lot more than just reading the brochure. They genuinely have hands on experience and take pride in every car on the lot, from the Corvettes to the Corrolas. You re not going to find a more reliable vehicle or a better price, they d rather make profits by selling dozens of quality vehicles versus selling one vehicle thousands over msrp. Both Dan and Justin are the best at what they do and their communication is unsurpassed. Go see for yourself and take a test drive!

Was going to write a better review since they tried so hard to remedy an ongoing fuel pressure sensor issue, but just took my truck to get an oil change and was told that I ve been driving with my emergency brake stuck on for who knows how long because someone spliced the lines together and took out a very important mechanism that should disengage the brake. They were the ones that passed the truck right before I got it and fixed the dangling e-brake cable that I questioned on the test drive. Now I ll be fixing that out of pocket. The salesmen are nice and I m sure they d try to help if I called again, but I m sick of bringing it back there (had it in four times since I bought it five months ago and do not live close/the truck is my business vehicle), and I wouldn t let their service department touch it ever again.

Both Dan and Justin are by far the chillest dudes youll ever get a car from. Theyre their with you from step 1 to the final step of getting your vehicle. By far the easiest and most relaxing time ever to get a vehicle.

Bought a car here the end of March. Heard an odd sound in the front end. They checked it out and it was a wheel bearing. We said check them all because if one goes...they said they did. A month later another wheel bearing goes they actually took care of it because it was within 30 days. 2months in the third one goes and then the springs break and I am left stranded in the middle of the road & have to have the car towed. Guess what, now the 4th wheel bearing went. They said they will help me out with the labor. Yeah, they will charge me the same exact price that my garage charged me, some break. This was a 12,000 car, not a 3k car!! And to top it off they gave me one key/key fob and I had to buy another one from BMW myself. $400 and BMW tells me that the reason why the key does not fit is because all of the locks were changed!!! Buyer beware. They seem very nice when you buy from them but sell cars that are ready for the junkyard.

I had a very bad experience here. I have bought many new vehicles in my lifetime but this was the first used vehicle. The car is a lemon . Has cost over two thousand dollars to keep it running in the first 3 mths. They only fixed the first problem because it happened within 30 days of purchase but after that I was on my own. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this auto sales place . I am about ready to dump this car and would be glad to park it right back in their lot but I know they will pass it on to the next person. Buyer beware !!!

I bought a VW Tiguan here about two weeks ago and Justin and Dan were very easy to work with, super cool guys and they got me a great deal and service plan for under my budget. My friend was looking for a car at the same time, I recommended he check them out and he left with a fantastic car just a few days later. Im from Texas and saw a listing online for a car I wanted at this dealership. I worked with Dan who made the process so smooth and easy. He worked with my pre-purchase inspection company, answered all my questions and was honest and upfront. Dan was a truly nice guy and didnt put typical salesperson pressure on me. When another potential buyer turned up, he gave me first crack at the car since I had come first and didnt try to put me into a bidding war. He arranged transportation at a reasonable price and did immediate turnarounds on the paperwork. It was a really pleasant buying experience.

Okay... review edit. Original review: Just purchased this beautiful Hyundai Santa Fe! Dan is fantastic and made shopping super easy, laid back, and no pushy car salesman energy, which was very refreshing and made my experience very nice! He went above and beyond to help me and walked me through every step of the way, explaining everything to me and helping me get the best possible outcome for my circumstances! I felt heard and valued and really had a nice experience! Thank you Dan! Updates: While they are nice people, I dont trust their word or their mechanics any more at this point. While I love my new vehicle and its beautiful, it has been absolutely NOTHING but a headache since purchasing it. Which I am quite upset about being that I specifically asked about the ebrake working due to where I live, and the tire pressure light that was on during test drive and I was told would be fixed and off by purchase signing... both of which have been part of a never ending problem. Well, I have now had the vehicle a couple of months and have had to bring it back SO many times... all for the same issues. Breaks. And the tire pressure light. And a few other little minor things that pop up a few days in to driving it that I found. And the most undeniable grinding noise, assuming from the breaks but at this point Im wondering if theres more to it. Have brought it back again and again and again. And again. I lost count at this point how many times Ive had to bring it back all for the same things that should have already been fixed... it just went back yet again last week... for the same stuff... and I got it back WORSE than when I gave it to them. Ive had to bring it back over 10 times now and its still not fixed properly and I dont feel safe in my vehicle, I want to but I dont and I no longer feel valued... more of a well we got your money so whatever kind of vibe. I even broke my mirror coming home FROM THEM for getting it fixed again with the brakes but ended up sliding down the hill unable to stop and hit my mirror on a trash can.. contacted them immediately, was told to bring it in a few days later and theyd fix it... just for them to A. Keep it all day and B. I show up to pick it up and they tell me oh we didnt have glue to fix the mirror and B. It squeaked so loud and worse!!!! How the hell.? And why would you not have what you needed when you knew for 3 days it was coming in for repairs and knew what it needed? Overall, nice people and they do go above and beyond to be kind, I absolutely dont want to take from that they are very sweet, truly, but VERY frustrating experience as far as mechanixs, trust, and getting things fixed goes. I dont know what to do at this point! I feel stuck being the vehicle is under warranty with them and they ARE very nice to me yet this keeps happening and doesnt get fixed and Im scared for my and my familys safety.

Roberts is such a great shop. The parking lot was full of cars from sporty to comfy family rides. I had sold a car to them last year and then in June I had purchased a car from Dan. They did such a great job detailing it before handing me the keys. Dominic had helped me purchase warranty on my car. The staff? Oh, theyre the real MVPs friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. We moved back into the area and needed two new vehicles. We stopped in to Roberts and got a good, low-nonsense discussion about what we needed. The 6-month powertrain warranty was attractive. We ended buying two vehicles for a fair price. Both vehicles went through the shop to fix any problems to full roadworthy-ness. Maybe they need a little poke to have them get back to you, but they follow through by selling you a decent used car with a decent warranty.

I was recently in a car accident (everyones ok and not my fault) and unfortunately my vehicle was totaled and I had only 4 days of car rental coverage to find a suitable replacement vehicle. Eeek! A Huge Thank you to Dan and his speedy team as they were outstanding to work with! :) Personable, Professional, Knowledgeable, Efficient and not pushy! They went above and beyond detailing the vehicle and ensuring it was ready to drive off the lot in tip top mechanical shape as well. Please dont bring your car to that place for detailing as they are the worst place to do so...I brought my car in on Friday and On Monday 5/16/2022 we had a storm and could not pick it up but on 5/17/2022 I went to picked the car up. I was extremely upset due to detailing was the worst i have seen. they charged me $200 and Huffman car wash will have done a far much better detailing for less money. Avoid that place for detailing as much as possible....

Dan and Justin are one of the greatest sales rep that helps us with a lot of our problems with getting a car and he cares about his customers and the whole place was great and welcoming. Hands down the best customer experience at an automobile dealership I have had. The vehicle I purchased was just traded in and they had it ready to roll the day after. Purchased a 2020 Corolla that was priced fairly and very clean. Everyone was responsive and professional throughout the process. The purchasing and turning over of the car took about 15 minutes, very quick and easy to work with.

It s not that I didn t have a good experience at this place. It s just I think their customer service was pretty rude and I came in with my friend to get a car appraisal or a second opinion because she was having oil leaks and I was joking with whoever was at the counter, and I said I really like the GTR that s in your lot. Would you trade it with my car as a joke and they proceeded to be like no which is understandable because me because my car isn t worth that much, but then proceeded to keep going and said well, that s a man s car. I got upset, because as a woman that is in the modifying car industry I was kind of taken aback at that statement and I was kind of hurt how someone who represents a business proceeded to treat a future customer that way, which was very disrespectful and I hope you guys will not be expecting me in the future to purchase one if you guys get another one in. I teach the staff some manners, no matter what gender they re dealing with because that is just not okay. Our experience was amazing. From test drive to purchase, we were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. There was no pushy salespeople, the whole atmosphere was very relaxed. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for a vehicle and are tired of the pushy salespeople.

Outstanding customer service, and a lot better then dealing with a main name dealership. They were able to answer all my questions and even went out of their way to too see if they could find exactly what I was looking for.
