Not trustworthy at all. Wont inform client about being charged once truck left the base. Overcharging in terms spending too much time inside truck for theirs GPS purpose and of course monetary reason For a job for 1 hour charged 2 and half. That is not mine evaluation but their own boss called to show him was was done and why so long. Embarrassing rip off.

Tom did a quick emergency fix and estimate and Chris did the install. They were both great to work with and very accommodating for my boyfriend who needed some power during the fix. It made things a lot easier for him and I appreciated it.

We reached out to Johnson s because we had an outage on a Sunday and saw online they were available to help/open 24 hours. I am a mom of two young kids and I had an emergency at my home and needed a certified electrician to have my power turned back on, I called Johnson Electrical on a weekend and not only were they quick to respond they were also very efficient and professional. They acquired the relevant permit and personnel needed to ensure a quick turnaround time so that I could get my power turned back on and get back to my home.

If I could give 0 stars trust me I would. Set up an emergency same day appointment. Electrician came to to the house spent hours pretending to not know what the issue was . All he had to do was change the outlet but kept looking for wires that he didn t need to look for in the basement ! Then he had the audacity to turn off my internet in the basement so my cameras wouldn t work! I asked for an invoice regarding the work done. Months passed still no invoice ! It was never emailed. The more I asked, they never sent it ! The next day, the same outlet stopped working ! He never did anything for the 3 hours that he was there charging me $545 for nothing !

This is my second ever review on Google. Im going to start with the positive first. The two associates who came over to look at our problem were very nice. Collin in particular had a great attitude and seemed like he knew what he was doing way more then the first guy. After over 8 hours between two days they finally figured out what needed to be done to restore power to the upstairs. Collin took pictures and notes in case he wasnt able to be the one to do the work. We needed a new panel plus a new line running up to the second floor. He said he would let his people at work know and they would give us an estimate. After a week from not hearing from them we decided to call. The person in the office said they forgot about us and Collin had to travel to Jamaica due to a family issue. They received no note from him and had no idea what was going on. Keep in mind we already gave them $1200.00 just to figure out the problem. We were told they would look into it and make it right give them a day and they would call us back. We waited four days and no response. Two weeks ago we were told about another person who does work. Matt from Sanford and Sons was at our house the day we got ahold of him. He spent two hours figuring out the problem came up with a solution which was the same as Collins plan. He got the parts that day and the next day power was restored. He only charged us $1400.00 for everything he did. I choose Johnson in the first place because of their outstanding reviews but they clearly have communication issues and employees that are either overworked or dont know what they are doing.

I ve had several projects done by Johnson electrical and they are always prompt, efficient, polite, and clean. A special shout out to Colin. Such a wonderful technician and my dogs love him.

I needed repositioning and replacement of conduit and wiring from my electric meter as well as a new panel box installed in a different location to bring it up to current code. In addition, I had some wiring that needed to be removed in the home, along with an outlet that needed replacing. All repairs were done timely and professionally. Would recommend Johnson Electrical to anyone needing electrical servicing.

I couldnt be more happy with this company. When I was really up against it with a malfunctioning breaker box and every other contractor in town was telling me they couldnt see me until next week at the earliest, the owner of the company called me back personally and sent his service manager over in 30 minutes!!! His name was Tom and he was beyond personable. Although the problem is not with my house and most likely an outside issue, Tom was able to tell me that and give me peace of mind when I really needed it. And then he calls me back the next day on his own time just to ask me how everything was!!! You do not get better than that. Very Professional

We had our power shut off by National Grid at 9pm with no warning. With a toddler at home, not having power for an indefinite amount of time was not an option. I called Johnson Electrical and had them at my house within an hour with all required repair parts in hand. While we werent anticipating this expense, I felt their price was fair for the quick emergency service and so far, we have had no further issues with our power or wiring. I would absolutely call them again for future electrical issues.

There is a reason why this company has a 5 star rating! I lost power in one of my apartments a few days ago, and two other so called electricians could not find the issue. The problem lingered for three days until I finally came across Johnson Electrical. I called them this morning (7/9/23), and spoke with Tom, the service manager, I gave him a description of the issue and told him I needed someone who is very knowledgeable. Within an hour, Josh showed up and started diagnosing the problem. The guy was phenomenal! Not only did he find it right away, the entire job was completed within 3 hours. I am truly impressed by the customer service and expertise of this company/technician. Joe Johson, of Johnson Electric has volunteered his companys time, manpower and trucks to help our committee, The Uncle Sam Military Banner Committee hang banner of the men and women from Troy who have served our country. Needed an electrician asap and J.E was was there, did everything that was needed to get the job done. Helped with the inspection and with national grid. Would definitely call him again.

I called jonhson electrical Monday for a circuit breaker tripped my appointment was at 10:30 am the electrician showing up at 2:30 they came to my place checked my breaker they find out it was tripped so they fix the problem and I asked the electrician how much I owed him he said $125 caused it wasn t there that long he wants me to give him cash I didn t have cash and I asked can I use my card. He called Devin so I can paid the bill devin me the charge was $195 and if don t want to pay it he send someone to my house to removed my breaker box and he start screaming at me fo no reason. I will not have those guys come to my house to fixed anything thanks. Over charged me not even an hour

The electric meter box on the exterior of my house began to pull apart from the siding and I looked to have it reinstalled. During the search for an electrician, I was informed that the box had to also be raised several feet because its current placement did not satisfy code. This process involved lots of digging, extending and replacing both inside and outside connecting wires, and a connect/disconnect of electricity. I made some calls, most were not returned and a couple I did hear from offered a sight/unseen exorbitant estimate for the service required. And then I tried Johnson Electric, out of Troy. The first time I called, the owner of the company, Joe, picked up the phone and told me that his project supervisor, Tom, would be calling me later that day. He did so within an hour and came out to look at the job the next day. Tom turned out to be a conscientious, reliable and highly knowledgable electrician. After offering an estimate about half the amount of those provided by phone, we scheduled a day to do the work. Like most companies these days, Tom was short-staffed on the day of the job, but informed me that he would do the dirty work himself (with one very solid assistant). And dirty the job was. My cable extended close to five feet into the dirt and that was only the start of unexpected issues. But Tom continued to calmly assure me (I am a worry wart), that there was nothing to be concerned about and the job would be done as scheduled. In the end, the job was masterful. Tom and his assistant did a beautiful job of re-mounting my meter, cleaning up, and keeping me calm throughout the process. He went so far as to call National Grid several times, to hasten getting my power back on once the job had been completed. I just cant say enough about my experience with Johnson Electric. Going forward, big job or small, theyre now my go-to contractor for electrical needs.

Good price and quick repair.

Weve had Johnson Electrical out to our house twice now for separate issues and they are just the best. Even with our relatively minor issues, they take time to explain whats going on and what theyre doing to fix it. Definitely recommend!

Jordan Schwartz came to our house on a Friday night and fixed our urgent issue. Our old house wiring was a nightmare, but Jordan worked efficiently. He was also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Ground faults in two bathrooms needed to be replaced. One was problematic. The electrician was very thorough and made sure our issues were resolved before he left.

Overall service has been good. They have been responsive to our needs and professional. However, their last trip to run a test line for a water pump, the connections to the pump were not correct and caused an additional trip and fee with the pump company to re- wire the pump. Additionally, the wood trim around the braker panel in the house was not secured properly when replaced and it fell off subsequent to company leaving.

Great experience. We had our heat go out on a Saturday and they picked up the phone and scheduled a quick service call. They were punctual, professional and the cost was reasonable.

I lost half the power in my house late in the afternoon on Friday the day after Thanksgiving and was fortunate to find someone that day that was available to take a look at what was going on. Lucky for me that it was Johnson Electrical. It turns out that my electrical panel was not in good shape due to some rust and corrosion in the panel which lead to the loss of one of the sides of the electrical supply phase going into the panel. This explained why half the house was without power, and as a result, I needed to replace the electrical panel soon as it was a safety issue. Johnson Electrical indicated that they could do the work the next day on a Saturday which I was happy to hear. Before leaving for the night, Ronnie and Tom made sure everything was stable and fortunately they were able to ensure that power was provided to the boiler so that I could have heat for the night. Joe and Tom came the next day the following morning and did the electrical panel upgrade service. In general, this entailed putting in a new electrical panel with breakers and wiring, a new housing about the meter on the outside of the house, new wiring from the panel in the basement of the house to the meter on the outside, a new masthead on the roof that connects with Niagara Mohawks electrical service line, and a riser tube that carries the wiring from the meter to the masthead. It was a big job but not a problem for these guys as everything seemed to go off without a hitch. I am no expert, but from what I can tell Joe and Tom did a great job. Plus, I think their pricing for the work considering the circumstances was very fair and reasonable. From talking with others who are more knowledgeable than me in this area, I have to believe that other businesses would have charged a lot more for this work. In light of this experience, if someone needs to do an upgrade of their electrical panel and accompanying equipment, I can definitely recommend Johnson Electrical.

Colin was very professional! He answered all my questions and took the time to explain my options. The cost was in line with what I expected.

Johnson responded to our call (on a Sunday) within an hour, and Tom was at our house in less than two hours to check out our situation and assist with us contacting the power company to provide temporary power.. the power company should have done this the night before but failed to do. We had a quote early the next day and was lower than other vendor quote. Johnson coordinated all services needed ( marking, excavating (underground lines) and power company) Johnson was here on time for all work with the install of our power line and would highly recommend them for future work.

I called the 24 hour number and spoke with Joe who said that he would call me back in 15 minutes with someone to respond that night. He did just that. Tom Pittz then called me and promptly arrived. Tom fixed the problem and then checked all the outlets, and lights to make sure that everything was working properly. During the March 23, 2024 snow and ice storm, a large limb broke from a tree, hitting our electric lines and pulling them free from the house. Concerned about sparking and a fire, I called Johnson Electric at 8:30 pm. In spite of the fact that I was not a customer, they responded immediately and had workers at our house within 2 hours. They had the wires reattached by midnight. They were conscientious, courteous and in such good humor, even though they had been working throughout the storm and in the dark and cold. We were very impressed with the quality of the work and their willingness to consider our concerns under adverse conditions. We are fortunate to have found them and, as we have other inside work that needs attention, will be seeing more of them in the near future. We are grateful and recommend them highly!

We had an electrical issue with our neutral wire inside the meter can on the house that melted our internet and cable wires. We still needed an electrician to do the repair and this was my first time working with Johnson Electrical. Joe and Tom were incredibly responsive from the very beginning; Tom was fantastic in talking the project through initially, estimating it, and ensuring that all went smoothly; and Paul and Randy did a quality, conscientious job on the actual install. Everything was carefully done with an eye to aesthetics as well as functionality, and cleanup was thorough. Everyone I dealt with was punctual, respectful of me and my property, and a pleasure to interact with. At one point, I even heard Tom mention to the guys that we had a cat and to be careful not to let her get out. Very impressive all the way around, especially in this age of unresponsiveness, shoddy workmanship, questionable expertise, and borderline unprofessional customer interaction. We will be using Johnson for all of our electrical needs going forward!

I had an electrical emergency on a Saturday .something burned out in the control panel. I called Johnson Electrical and got Joe who was more than responsive. I sent him pictures and he sent Devin to my house. He had a very long drive. He was able to rectify the problem expeditiously. He also told me what needs to be done in order for this not to happen again. Suffice it to say they will be back and I will use them for future projects. Reliable, reasonably priced, professional, great team.

Devin and his assistant Crystal repaired two switches and checked the outlets in our home. Their work was excellent, and they were very nice and extremely neat. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

We were having some issues with our electricity at home and national grid came to check it out and ended up shutting off our power and taking our meter. They said that we had to have our meter box replaced along with the cables going to our breaker and to the power supply. There was a decent amount of work to be done and it had to be done very quickly due to my wife being very pregnant. We contacted Johnson Electrical and explained what we needed done and why at about 530pm. They ended up sending an electrician and apprentice electrician out to our home at about 8pm on a Saturday night. They did an amazing job and communicated with us the whole time. They replaced everything we needed replaced and we had our power back up and running by midnight. They really took care of business in a time of need, my wife went into labor at 2am and we ended up having our baby the next morning. Johnson Electrical saved us a lot of headache and stress by being so prompt professional and available on very short notice.

Absolutley the greatest service out there, placed a call that I severed a underground power line to my shop and had no power after a quick call and schedule with the service manager they had a guy out to me the next morning and power was restores. Thank you Joe,Devin and Randy!
