Hmmm. Reviews they do not like disappear! Also notice as reviews disappear...they responses to the postings only go to five star positive. No apologies ir corrections to the negative reviews. Shows management could care less to attempt to improve. Staff friendylovely garden center area. No service ever found in paints!!! Follow through deplorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never trust them to order anything and have you pay upfront. Never trust them for putting in an order. Never trust them your order will ever arrive. Never trust them to call you..when they say they will. Why pay high prices for good service you do not receive? Still waiting for an item I was promised in two days..and told it had been ordered while I was in the store. ACE Brunswick NY is the reason I no longer go out to Support Local. II will order with front door delivery overnight. Or go pay less at a box store where I do the work..and I get the item I want, pay. Head out. Last time I use Ace Brunswick!!!!! ACE is the place ..where I still do not have my promised paid for item. Spend the 10 minutes and drive to Lowes or Home Depot...or next door is Habour Frieght. Then you have what you need and can move forward. Time is a commodity you cannot get back ACE could care less!

Great selection. I like to support the local stores. My complaint is selling items over manufacturers list price. I bought a Weber accessory and while in the store I looked it up and the price advertised was more than MSRP. I can buy it elsewhere and have it shipped for less. On a separate occasion I ordered a part from Stihl that offered free shipping to store and they would deliver it to the store. When I came to pick it up they wanted to charge me for shipping. I ended up reordering it and having it sent to my house.
Super friendly and helpful staff. We were looking for a concrete birdbath and while we didn't find what we needed, the staff did their best to show us alternatives and to give us suggestions of where we might find what we were looking for. While looking around I noticed they stock a lot of things I figured I could only find online. Special shout out to the person in charge of their awesome selection of 80's-90's Alternative music, which I listened to while we were there and just kept saying "I haven't heard this in ages!".

Very poor customer service and just plain bad manners at the paint dept. I would typically visit this store 2-3 times a week but I will never set foot in there again
First and foremost the team at this store is fantastic! However, the online ordering and stock level system is a mess. Multiple items were out of stock that were listed as in stock. It also took over two days to find out an online order was unable to be fulfilled. The Hatchet name is really sullying the True Value brand.

Top Notch service through and through. I was in the area doing a kitchen...bathroom...well...house remodel/maintenance and for every can of worms I opened, Hatchet ACE was there. From push to connect plumbing to a lamp socket...they had it.

I m very disappointed in the service I recently received. Dropped off scissors to be sharpened after several excuses two weeks later they we re returned to us unsharpened. Don t offer a service that you can t provide.

They had what I wanted and I bought it. Honestly, I went to Tractor Supply first to buy leaf bags, searched the entire store, only to find, they ran out. I walk in to Hatchet Hardware and there is a huge pallet filled with leaf bags. I guess Ace really is the place.

This hardware store has Fasteners others will not have or are harder to find. They are quick to ask if you need help and provide pretty good guidance.

Ive had 2 experiences with the lady at the checkout. Both times she was rude. I have a lawn mower tire in for repair. This takes 2 weeks! So I called to check on it after not hearing anything. It wasnt done but someone said that it would be ready by the end of the day. I went the next day. Guess what. Not done. They had to order an inner tube. No call telling me it wouldnt be ready. So I arrived the day after they said it would be ready. Kid at the counter was very helpful and went to see if they could possibly do it right then and there. Not that I wanted to wait but he was trying to help so I went with it. Along comes the rude lady who asks me why Im there and then replies, Didnt they tell you it would be a few weeks?. I explained that yesterday they said it would be done by the end of the day. She shrugged and moved on to the next customer. No apologies.
It s nice having a well stocked hardware store just down the road. But it s not good business to offer services you can t perform. I specifically asked the the guy if they could copy a double cut motorcycle key seeing the big signs say they cut auto keys and I didn t want a $20 key blank ruined. He said yes. Well evidently it s to difficult for them. I went back to see if they could get it to work. Nope. The girl at the counter tried to tell me it wasn t their fault because I brought my own factory key blank and normally they wouldn t refund the $5 they charged me to destroy my $20 key. Wrong thing to say now I m writing this and telling everyone I know how they operate. Efing morons! Now I have to order another blank and go to the locksmith for this task that s above their skill level which I would ve done if they said we can t do this. Scary thing is they supposedly repair equipment there. Thanks for nothing!

Took a trimmer in for repair and had to leave a $35 deposit...okay, a bit steep but okay. The first issue was that between TWO register girls they couldnt figure out how to enter it into the system. The manager I presume, had to come out from the back and pretty much take over. Again, okay as I presume both girls were new? Then I waited for three weeks, and finally called to find out that they havent even looked at it yet! The girl on the phone said that they were busy and sometimes it takes two weeks for them to look at things. I didnt feel like pointing out that it had bee THREE weeks already. I wouldnt recommend bringing things here for repair. As for in store help, my past experiences were that they didnt seem knowledgeable...they need Bill back who KNOWS hardware. If you know what youre going in for theyre great.

Great selection, excellent and friendly people. I get alot of supplies there as I am slowly remodeling my 200 year old farmhouse. For every project they are my go to. Home depot you ask someone where something is and you might as well have asked them how to solve the energy crisis. Here they tell you where it is and help you with anything else you need. Great store!

I purchased 4 bags of wood pellets, 3 were new 1 mixed in on the pallet had leaked and was retaped. It was lighter than the others. If goods are damaged dont try to pass them off as new.

They have a lot of things in stock but pricing is a bit stiff. Almost $2 more for a electrical item. I needed 6 but passed. Ill go to thorpe and get other things I need as well.

During this extreme cold snap I went in for foam wrap for water pipe and found it! So, so glad it was in stock. Stopped to get 2 keys made. Quick in and out. They mail $5 off cards to you when you use the ace rewards. So its worth signing up for. Stopped again for plumbing part. They had the part and the staff was helpful.

The store clerk was amazing and very helpful, the cashier was rude, pushed my purchase towards me and said nothing to me even after I said thank you. She talked up the previous customer at length. Not very professional and then maybe I reminded her of someone she doesnt like who knows. Anyway great store and Ill avoid the rude cashier in the future.
The employees here worked really well with each other. They talked to each other and found what I was looking for. The brand new paint studio was something to see. Im happy to see a wider range of paints and colours. The displays were very well thought out for ease of access to young and old a like. I am happy to say that with this great atmosphere that will allow you to bring your pets in on a lease; cat or dog. The fantastic customer service, and the variety of stuff they sell. I can rate it 5 stars. I fondly recommend anyone to just stop in and take a gander. Who knows you might be surprised what you find.

There are 3 vehicles in your parking lot supposed to be open at 8 and its just about ten minutes after 8 and doors are still locked
