Just to update this review. This past weekend I had to bring in my 2019 CR-V due to a dead battery. I was SUV shopping. My whole family has SUV s but me. I had just found out at a body shop my 2009 car was in need of rust repair and would cost thousands to fix. I walked into Rensselaer Honda and was greeted by a very nice gentleman named Efe. He had a huge smile on his face which made me feel very welcomed. I told him my situation. Efe was so understanding and said let me see what I can do. That same day I drove off in a beautiful used pre certified Honda HR-V LX AWD. All the staff here are so friendly and helpful. Jack made the dreaded paperwork a breeze and a pleasure to work with. A beautiful dealership with beautiful people! I shared a very special bond with Efe as I was his very fist sale. One I will always remember fondly.

I was very happy with the way my wife and i were treated when we needed to have both cars serviced on a recall. My plan was for both of us to go to dealership and drop off one car, then the next day i would drive over drop off second car and pick up first, then both of us go over on the third day and pick up the second car. We are both getting around using canes and i had concerns about walking around a wintry parking lot but associates told me to drive cars right in to the dropoff bay and they were nice enough to go out on the lot and drive the already serviced vehicles into the bay so we didnt have to walk around the lot. Service was completed quickly and everyone involved was very helpful. THANKS PJH

I was very pleased with the Rensselaer Honda service team (Blake) who took care of my issues. I was in for a routine maintenance (oil change and tire rotation), along with a ding I received on my 2024 Ridgeline driver s door. I purchased the additional coverage for dings and wheels at the time of my purchase. I was a little skeptical based on what the coverage would cover, but low and behold, my driver s door received a ding from a person who obviously did not care. I was lucky the door paint from the ding was not removed (which is what the coverage states). The mark and ding were able to be removed without any leftover noticeable damage. I am happy now I took this additional coverage and it worked out for this issue. The service person (Blake) was very helpful looking into my issue and taking care of this for me.
Blake, my service advisor, was receptive to my predicament which was that my car had broken over night while traveling in and around Troy. He was reassuring yet efficient. My car was repaired in less than 2 hours after it had been towed to the dealership. All contracts were honored.

Service was great; questions all answered to my satisfaction, shuttle driver was friendly. Only issue was driver picked me up at residence (North Greenbush) at 3:30 PM and we picked up another customer in Alb (Alb Med) and then returned to Honda. I got home about 5:45PM.

Great experience! The screen on our new Honda hybrid went black about 2 weeks ago. We brought the car in for repair a week earlier (we already had recall repairs scheduled) and the technicians determined we needed the screen replaced, so I returned Saturday. The car had been running rough and our mpgs were declining - this was related to the condition of the screen, apparently. With the new screen, the car works like new! The attendent who handled us was friendly, knowledgeable, and charming - a delight. I told her how much I liked the dealerships pens, and she gave me a few take home. The waiting area for customers is very pleasant. I had some work to do and got to use the office that is part of the waiting area. It was clean, new, and very pleasant - I was able to get some work done! Thank you, Honda! I was already happy with my car - now Im delighted with the service! John Johnson

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE. My AC went out in my car so I brought it in to get replaced as well as a small oil leak. When I went to pick it up they said they had ordered the wrong AC unit, so I would need to come back - but then 10 minutes later they said my car was ready. It seemed odd but I said okay. 2 weeks later, the new AC stops working (at this time my oil leak is also worse which they said was fixed). I bring it back and they said the AC was a faulty unit. Seemed odd again, but said okay and they replaced it. A week later my battery died and I asked why they hadnt tested it when I had the car in recently - all sorts of excuses. So I bought a new battery and it died a few weeks later - again I got the excuse that it was a faulty unit. I ended up going to a local mechanic to get my oil leak fixed properly and they said that it looked like someone had put a seal on poorly - in the same area in the engine that Honda said they had fixed. I dont go out of my way to leave reviews - good or bad - unless I feel the need to warn people. I spent over $2,000 on an older CR-V. The whole experience felt like a scam and left me feeling frustrated with unresolved car issues after all was said and done.
In late November, I was in the market for either a new lease or a new car. My budget was rather tight, and I was enticed by the advertisements on Hondas website. The sales and leasing consultant, Jack, was kind and attentive to my needs. Later on during the leasing process, Jakes associate, Jack, the finance manager, was also greatly helpful with answering questions. Overall, I have no reason to complain and only wish to support my friends and any acquaintance considering Rensselaer Honda for their next vehicle.

I have been buying or leasing new cars since 1965 and I have never felt better about or been treated so well by any dealership, regardless of the make of the car. I did my research and decided on the Accord Touring and as I live in Brunswick, Rensselaer Honda was an obvious place to go. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the facility impressive. I am so glad I didn t go elsewhere!
Called to make an appointment for NY safety inspection and they scheduled me for same day service.. Easy drive-in to the service area with automatic garage door opening. Comfortable waiting area with beverage and snack offerings. Took about an hour, they did a through check of everything and provided a complete report. They noted a recall for steering issue, although not experiencing any problems. They explained I should get a notice from Honda shortly. They didnt have the part yet, but told me what it entails and how long it would take. So Ill call to schedule in the near future.

Ive been going to Rensselaer Honda since 2016-2017, and will only come here for any of my automotive needs. I recently just bought a 2020 CR-V, and LOVE IT!! This is the second car I bought with these great folks. Youre not going to get the pressure sales, or competitiveness you get from other places. These folks really treat you like a friend. And thats not only from the sales department! The service department as well are really great. The entire service department are absolutely the best overall crew! They offer this loan deal call Sunbit..that you can pay off increments verses hundreds to thousand dollars right at check out! Besides outstanding professional but friendly customer service you get here, they work with you to fit anyones needs and financial background. These reasons are exactly why Im a Honda driver and buy from Rensselaer Honda..EXCLUSIVELY! My original phone calls about flashing messages and the car not starting was met with I would have to get the car towed to the dealer. Fortunately my neighbor suggested we try jumping the car as he thought it might be a dead battery. Thanks to my neighbor the day was much better than it started. I was happy to get a same day appointment and the battery was replaced within an hour. Joe Wiley was more knowledgeable than whomever I spoke with on the phone earlier as he told me the flashing messages I had seen were typical of a dead battery in the newer model cars. Thank you Joe!

Phil and Matt at Rensselaer Honda were great. They worked with us on getting the exact car we wanted at a awesome price. They kept us updated every step of the way. Ellen went over all features of the car in detail. I never had a new keyless car with so many features and that was very helpful. She went through all the safety settings and helped me picked them out as well. We finished paperwork with Kerry and he was very friendly and informative.
Delivery was efficient and painless and everyone went out of their way to make sure I understood every step of the process and every option and button in my new car. They even set up all the bells and whistles for me!
I was checked in, in less than 5 min. I was told one hour and that my car needed an transmission fluid change. I was happy to hear they check on this. I was able to walk to McDonalds to get a soda and sandwich for breakfast. I waited about an hour and the associated came into the very nice waiting room to have me pay the bill and pick up my car. All associates were friendly and happy, which made the experience happy and satisfying. Thank you for having a great crew.
