WOW $698 for lockset and dead bolt. it turns out to be a billing mistake and they are fixing it, otherwise I am happy with the install Tech was excellent
Making two key copies only costed like 3.50 each and they both worked just as well as the original as far as I could tell.
Very responsive and great communication. I have rental property in Troy and don't live close by. JPM locksmith responded to multiple issues I have had with door locks and hinges. They communicated directly with my tenants to coordinate repairs and send me electronic links to pay. So far I have been very satisfied with the quality of their work as well as customer service!
We had a great experience. I called on a Wednesday about getting our locks at our store rekeyed and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Josh came and did the work in a timely and professional manner and was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. It literally couldn't have been a better transaction and I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic service! I had scheduled a consult so they could see what they were in for but they were able to do all the work same day! They replaced our circa 1980s faulty doorknob and deadbolt that no longer worked. I had expected I might need to special order parts due to the age of the original door (1896) but they were able to do a special fix to get everything to work, they spray painted the plate to match the new setup AND I was able to get new keys as well. Mangione’s has always been our go to for everything lock related and they continue to go above and beyond.
Very happy w/ our experience. We needed some locks re-keyed, They gave me an estimate by phone & an appt for 2 days later. The locksmith called when he was on the way and was within the scheduled time period. He was polite, got the job done faster than I expected, final cost was slightly less than the estimate, and everything works well. Will happily call this business if we need locksmith help in the future.
On 6/29/23, Josh came to our newly purchased home to rekey a lost key for our garage. Not only did he do an excellent job with that, he installed and redid all our locks so we were able to use only one key in lieu of several for our doors. He is a very personable man with a sense of humor, which was sincerely appreciated, and also very professional. We would highly recommended Josh and Joseph P Mangione, Locksmith to anyone who needs a locksmith. Companies and employees like this are a rarity now a days. I wish I could remember the name of the person who I spoke to on the phone, but they were so lovely and helpful! My doorknob fell off and I was locked out of my bedroom, so I called and they said they couldn t get anyone over today to help me since they were booked up. I told them that that s not going to work because I have a medication stuck in my bedroom that I have to take every night. So not only did they offer to take my name and number and let me know if anyone cancels and can make time to help me, but they also offered someone to come during after hours in order to help me in time to take my medication. After they gave me a quote, I told them that that wouldn t be possible for me, SO they asked me what kind of lock it was and to send them a picture of it on their personal phone to see if they could coach me through unlocking it myself. Which was so kind of them! When that didn t work (I didn t have the right sized tool to fit in the door) they offered for me to come to the shop, pick up a part that they knew would fit in my door and then return it once I was done. Which was so generous and sweet of them to even offer that. So I was about to head over when I thought to try one more thing. I grabbed my metal chopsticks, put them in the post that the knob goes in, turned it and the door popped open! I called them back to let them know I got into my bedroom and to thank them for their time, but I also wanted to share this story because it was truly above and beyond customer service that needed to be recognized.
Very help locksmith.. needed to crack a safe ... Be had no problem doin it ...excpecially after we broke through the concrete wall.and brought the safe back to our hideout for him to work on it there..
My back door s lock was broken for years. I have a house-protective rottie, but still, it bothered me. I looked into a new door, and got an estimate for $5,000! Nope. So, called this company. Three days later, a sweet and efficient young man (Alec) fixed my lock within 15 minutes for about $200. Win for me. I can sleep safe now, and I m not broke. Use this company. Smart and honest folks.
Timely...thorough....and reasonable....
The technician was amazing!! I needed a very minor fix and he showed us how to do it ourselves if it happens again. He made sure to charge us the minimum amount he could. I would call them again in a heartbeat

The best place to get a key made or security locks etc. The Troy NY location is the best! The keys always work and good quality metal. I ve been going here 30 + years.
Way over priced I had one lock charge the lock was $22 and it took 3 mins and my bill was $164.16 never again

I always go there to get duplicate keys made. I used to get them done at hardware stores, but a couple of times the duplicate didnt work. That never happens when I go to Mangiones.

Really great service. It was not only quick but also high quality and cost effective. It took them 2mins to create the key. It was hard to differentiate the copy from the original. I would highly recommend l. They also have variety of locks and other security products.

I was lost not able to get my license renewed city hall was closed to the public all my important papers and jewelry was inside my safe I had lost my keys we Called Joseph Mangione and bought it down to there shop/store within minutes it was opened we wasnt able to save our safe but what was inside was mine and my husbands life cost was very very low thank you so much;
I have a key that they dont have keys 4, so they did 1 & if it didnt work. I was 2 bring the lock with me & original key. He said then hed make it right. I didnt have 2 the copy worked perfect. I dont use anyone but Mangione. I have yet 3 return 2 them bc the key didnt work. Its works always the 1st time.

Called to discuss a lock on my front door that was sticky and almost freezing in cold weather. Thought I was going to be scheduling a service call, but was given a couple of tips to try first. And THAT is why I would not hesitate to call them again and would recommend them to anyone.

My shop has 2 toolboxes for which we had no spare keys. I tried to order more, but they were made overseas with no traceability to the factory. Both Troy ACE and Home Depot could not make copies. I went to Mangiones (at ACEs suggestion) - they too did not have the blanks, but with the original locks they were able to make copies by the next morning. I thought I was out of luck but these guys came through. Quick service and at 4.50 a copy, a reasonable price given the situation.

Best locksmith in the Capitol Region by far with a long, storied history. You wont find more knowledgeable staff anywhere and they always have rare parts for old buildings and homes in stock. They offer everything you need for the security of your home or business from camera systems to reinforced security doors and safes. Oh, and they make keys too. Even skeleton keys!
