Got me in with no issues. Didn t try to up charge me like the other locations. Recommend this place over the others.

My best friend was working for them and saw all of that even my self when i took my truck there for oil change and another recomendation dont dare to work for them the male manager its a complete rude and racist got my friend fire because maria his manager call my friend and he responded whit a single (what) and for that the male manager started being rude and disrespectful to me friend in front of the workers and even in front of a customer meaby because he dint like the fact that my friend is puerto rican my friend dint even said nothing back to the manager he just keep quiet even though he have it all the rigth to snap back he dint that day he tell marie his manager that he couldnt work becuase of what just happed and because how mad he was she told him it was okay 2 hours later they left him a voice massage telling him that he was fire they dint even explain him why they just fire him like that whit no explenation whit no nothing just like that this people dint care about his homeless situation his mental problems they just tose him outside like he was trash. Im a manager my self in Walmart and if i have to correct one of my workers I PULL (HIM\HER) TO THE OFFICE TO REPRIMANDED NOT! IN FRONT OF THE CUSTEMER. Went in for state inspection. I was told that I need to change tie rods to pass inspection. Went to a mechanic to do the work and he said my tie rods are perfectly fine. Passed inspection without any issue from a different place

Even though they have good service somewhere else and other locations But this location I have bad experience with. I went three days ago to get an inspection done. They said you have to wait 45 minutes before you enter. I came the following morning at 9:30 AM. They said you gotta wait 30 minutes until it gets 10 o clock, even though they didn t have no sign to say that Online or on site I never go there again

I remember, back in the day, they used to push the different Services down your throat. Now, however, they dont come out where they didnt at this trip, inform you of anything at all that your car might need. It was only during the after service survey that I found out. Guys were pretty cool otherwise. I wanted to add that I really appreciate being able to stay in the car while they do their service, Im in a wheelchair and it made such a difference.

Our car stopped working and I pulled into the lot at Valvoline. The young woman noticed us and asked Robert, who works there, to help us since he had been a mechanic. He was extraordinarily helpful trying to diagnose the issue and eventually found us a tow truck to get the car to an Albany dealer. I don t believe this I had a prior incident at a Valvoline in East Greenbush and now another horrible customer experience at the one on Hoosick Street. I called earlier today to verify they had my oil filter and oil, and the representative told me that she had to check with her manager, Maria, The representative then told me that yes they do have it in stock I verified again. Where is your location located? She said who s street across from the Hilton. An hour later show for the manager to come out and tell me that they don t have it in stock I drove 15 minutes, and wasted my time and my only for them to say they don t have it in stock, extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. This company really needs to start hiring some qualified people for the job, Especially when they re The face of their business. Completely dissatisfied. Will report to the Better Business Bureau.

As someone who: 1) doesnt know jack about cars 2) gets very nervous with going to new places 3) hates looking like an idiot, the professionals at this Valvoline location are FANTASTIC! I drove up outside the location and a friendly face walked over and asked what I was looking for help with. He then guided me into the bay and kindly explained everything to me. I wasnt pressured into getting any extra services that I didnt need, I wasnt expected to know when to turn the car on and off, and I was gently reminded to turn the lights off to conserve battery. Nobody gave me a hard time for having waited longer than I should have to get my oil changed, which is something I was worried about. The experience overall was great and I recommend these great guys 100%

Love that you get to stay seated in your car AND they call out all the maintenance they are preforming so not only can you SEE what they are doing you can HEAR it too. If your not glued to your cell phone that is. The workers here are very Knowledgeable and Friendly! P.s. they also preform New York State inspections!

A woefully careless and unprofessional staff. The first time I went here (a few weeks ago) was for an oil change, which itself was fine enough, until I got home and discovered that they had forgotten to replace one of the caps on my tire valve stem. Obviously, that s a small thing but still annoying and a symptom of carelessness. Then, this past Friday, I stopped in to schedule a vehicle inspection. Later that day, I got a call back to reschedule because they had scheduled me (and apparently several other people) for Memorial Day (for which they were closed). We rescheduled for Tuesday at 9 (today). I showed up a little before 9 today, only to be informed that they had no inspector on-site and inspections wouldn t start until 10. This, despite the fact that I was told by the person who called me that they could do the inspection at 9 AND that my name and number were printed right on their schedule at 9. The staff was incredibly rude and made no effort to apologize or take responsibility for the mistake of their business. As I type this, I m at a Jiffy Lube in Latham that is 100% more friendly and professional not to mention can get inspections in same-day. Every Jiffy Lube location I ve ever been to has always been fantastic. I should ve never made the mistake of going elsewhere for the sake of a more convenient location.

My tires were low on air, they put air in my tires, no cost, prompt and courteous, great experience.

Got my oil changed, they checked my tire pressure and never put the caps back on, (the passenger side) didnt realize till I got home, check them before you leave.

I went to valvoline for an oil change And then all of a sudden, they say will, we dont have the kind of oil that goes in your car so I said. OK so what do I do now? I said? Did you guys already taken the oil out? Did you start draining it? They said no, so I left and went to another Valvoline. The same thing they didnt have my oil. Now its 5W20I dont understand how an oil Changing place doesnt have that oil but whatever but I asked him. I said you didnt drain anything and they said no. But something told me to check my oil when I was empty. Thank God I checked it. That was my experience with Valvoline.

The folks who performed my oil change were quick, efficient, and communicated all the charges I was going to have before adding them to my tab. Radiator fluid was not something I d ever been made aware of and apparently mine was like a dark sludge that was clogging up my system (I ve had the car for almost 7 years and it hasn t been changed). They explained the purpose of this fluid, the benefits of replacing it, and showed me the old versus new fluid to show that it really was old and needed swapping out. I immediately noticed that my heaters were pushing out much warmer air, which will be very nice for the next couple of months. My car also sounded quieter than it had in some time. They swapped out my back wiper as well for a couple extra bucks. Will definitely be going back and appreciate their friendly service!

Normally change my own oil so I was a bit nervous about quick stop places like this. But Nevin and the team were awesome. Notified me of all work while they were doing it and asked along each step of the process (even trying to evenly center my inspection sticker incase I had OCD loll). Got my oil changed, air filter changed, and an inspection out in an hour and roughly $100. Not bad in my opinion. Highly recommend these guys if you re in a pinch like I was!

Took my car in for an oil change. It cost me $112 to have the oil changed on my 2009 Honda Fit. Every time Ive had my oil changed at the Honda dealership its never been more than $70. I thought I Valvoline offered good deals but it seems to be the opposite.

The people who work at this store are always incredibly friendly and kind, and have such wonderful energy to be around. Great experience with great people!!

They upsold me to a way more expensive type of oil meant for cars with high milage when I have a newer car. Told me it was the only kind they carry that my car would take. Not the first issue Ive had here, I only go because its convenient but from now on Ill wait to see my actual mechanic that doesnt lie to me just because Im female ps valvoline no I dont want to talk to someone again, dont bother.

This place is terrible!! I made a appointment for 5/22/21 11 am At the troy Valvoline for a ny state inspection on my wifes car. I took time off of work to be there when I arrived I was told that they couldnt do the inspection because the manager got hurt and could not be there and they should have called me but they didnt. So because I already had an appointment I feel they should have scheduled me on the next business day. He became VERY RUDE and told me it would be two weeks before they could do it. the inspection runs out in one Week I had an Appointment nobody called to advise me they couldnt do it and on top of that they were rude and making me wait two weeks for an appointment is just plain wrong being I already had one. I have been going here for years for oil changes etc but not anymore and I will be sure let everyone know of the way customers are treated. VERY BAD Business practice !

Last time I was here they didn t close my hood all the way. Today I spent over $100 just to get home and realize one of my tire valve caps were missing. I checked the rest of them and they were barely even on, I could ve lost all of them! They were barely screwed on. I had to completely tighten all three that didn t fall off. Now it s just an inconvenience because I have to go buy more so I don t continue to lose air from my tire! Annoying! I ll go somewhere else from now on.

First off the wait was long. Then the car, driver next to me. They had issues finding the drain plug, when they filled it the oil all ran out. I chose to leave. The attendant hollered at that I could have driven into the pit even though I followed the same route as the driver before me.

I just stopped in to get air for my tires. They were very courteous, pulled my car inside, checked the inside of the door for instructions for pressure. Topped off all four tires, and cleaned the pine needles out of the vents on top of my hood. There was absolutely no charge.. Ive gone there before, for inspection and oil changes. Note, youll need to make an appointment for those services because of CoViD. Nice crew over there! Ill be back for an oil change soon!

Online system says, no appointment needed buy store says you need appointment. Confusing. . All the workers were idle and chilling and I was told to get the apportionment for NY Inspection. earliest was available after 4 days . This place is a joke

I would like to say to the owner, manager or Valvoline who ever is running this particular business need to hire more people. I stopped in this establishment recently and it was only two employees working they was doing the best the could to keep up with the cars coming but it was to overwhelming for the staff. They handled the cars to the best speed. So the issue was with my car I have an older car and it was giving the employee a little trouble and he was so back up now with cars, the employee worked diligent to accommodate me and thinking about all these other cars. Please give the gentleman a team that he can lead more than 3 people!! We are heading to stage 4 or in stage 4 that means more cars on the road. More oil changes inspection and all.

I have used this Valvoline for years, today I went and got a full synthetic oil change and the young man that took me in talked to me, and took my payment was what I can t even describe as rude. His name on his shirt said Naquan Manager. He could not explain anything to me, was so short with me he basically acted like he had better things to do and somewhere better to be and I was inconveniencing him. At the end he handed the sticker to me that goes on the inside of windshield and did not say one word not thank you, have a nice day, happy holidays nothing. I ve never had this problem here before and he definitely made me not want to come back!!!

Thanks a lot for NOT closing my truck hood all the way. The hood was damaged while driving in the Northway. You people send customers up the hill to the auto parts store and made me look like a fool asking them to fix my engine light ,etc

They do a good job replacing the oil. The shop can be easily seen the Hoosick Street. The oil change is very quick and is almost a drive through service.

i love Valvoline but this branch does not change the new oil filter during engine oil change. Be cautious and check your oil filter before you leave.

Attendees were friendly and knowledgeable. Shop was clean and up to date. Only downfall is the shop is very small and also on a major, busy, double lane road, with no center turn lanes. Hard to get in and out of.

The attendant was extremely nice and funny. The wait time was about a hour. If you go on to the website, I am usually able to download a coupon for a $21.99 oil change.

I was treated well during my oil change and everything was done professionally. Unfortunately, my oil is now leaking, after Ive already added more oil on my own. My tire caps were not screwed on all the way and I lost two of them on the road which I then had to go buy. I do not believe that they finish their duties well. Waste of money and I now have to get their work fixed at my dealership.

The manager is always stand offish with me and Ive been a regular customer longer than hes worked there. Recently had my oil changed and only 1 month, approximately 1k miles later my check oil light comes on. So I bring it in to ask him whats up and got rude responses and just kind of a dismissive attitude.

Bill is excellent! He was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. I went with a flat tire asking to buy air. He saw me from the road, waited for me to pull in, took me immediately & filled the tire then offered to fill all of them for me. When I asked the price of service, he said we don t charge for air, we breathe it every day! How awesome for a worker to be joyful even in the freezing cold working. You can tell he takes pride in his job. Very nice to experience! Excellent customer service! Highly recommended!
