We came in for a tire replacement, and Jason was fantastic in assisting us. He had a great sense of humor and made the experience enjoyable. The team did an outstanding job and completed the work incredibly quickly.

This place is a god-send! My wife and I were in there a couple days ago and we both can t stop talking about how awesome the experience was! :) both the management and crew were so efficient getting us in and out even though we didn t have an appointment. The lovely Gadlisa had the warmest smile and captivating eyes! Jamie was so knowledgeable and REASONABLE, really made us feel like we were in the right place! I ve already told my family and friends but if you want a mechanic shop that does it right the first time, come here! I owe them coffee the next time I m in!

A lot of the times mechanics do that, you come in for a tire and they try and sell you for 2k. But they let me see my car on the lift and pinpointed each concern, I was shocked. This place is an absolute joke. I brought my car in for a simple 2 tire balance and mount on my car and it turned into an all day project. The lack of communication is ridiculous, after placing the wrong tire on the car and then charging me for a new tire they still messed it up! Finally hours later I leave, and the car has a ridiculous wobble in the steering wheel. When I came back and confronted them about it, they stated that it was because of the different tires I had on my car, which is absolute BS. Do not bring your car here if you like your car being worked on properly.

I m happy to be able to walk in a place where they seem to actually care. *******Edit: RUN I honestly thought these people went above and beyond and actually found things wrong that no one else somehow found being that 2 months before coming in I had an inspection at another place where they only found I needed new brake. I came into Mavis because the place I usually go to was booked up for the week. I was hearing a weird noise on the right passenger side. These ppl told me about 6 major things were wrong with my car totaling almost $3000. Lucky for me I had a warranty for most of the things I needed repaired. I ended up going to Albany Battery gave them the long list of repairs Mavis said needed to be repaired. Albany Battery told me they still needed to do their own Diagnosis. Turns out I only needed a wheel bearing. They said idk why or how Mavis said you needed all that work done but it s not true. Albany Battery have no reason to lie because they could have easily made $3000 paid by the warranty company. where I would have had to only pay $100. Albany Battery chose to be honest and made only $320 because they knew dang on well I didn t really have all of those serious problems smh.

Last month after work I had a fat tire. It was a Friday night. I didnt have a spare. I work close to Mavis. I called them. I spoke to Galisa. She was the best! She told me they could take care of me that night. I pumped in enough air to get to Mavis. I was on the road again in about an hour with a new tire. What great service! Seeing some new faces in the shop, and it looks like things are coming together nicely. Everyone seems to be on the same page and working hard to be the best shop around. Love the energy this team has. Definitely coming to this shop from now on! Jamie and his crew were happy to help in looking over my car and giving me a list of all things I need done and what priority level each item was. Mike made sure to go over every detail of the car for me. Although a part didnt make it to the shop in time and my car needed to stay overnight (no fault on the shop, its the company sending them the part), Mike said he will be personally coming into the shop tomorrow on his day off to wrap up my car once the part is in. As a mom of two rugrats, I super appreciate him for this because its very important my car is in the best possible condition for my family.

I had two tires replaced here. The girl in front was very nice! Everyone was. Service was quick, only waited about 45 minutes which was great. I drove off the lot and check the tire pressures. One of the ones they replaced is at 46 psi! They are supposed to be at 33! The other is at 35. Like THIS IS THE TIRE SHOP. THIS IS WHAT THEY DO. Half of the people who drive off the lot are probably never going to check the pressure and go on their merry way and be completely oblivious of something that could be potentially dangerous. We re not talking about a few psi, this is a significant difference in pressure. I called and the lady was perfectly nice and said they should have checked that . Ummm, yeah!! Again, YOU ARE THE TIRE SHOP!! Haha. At that point I didn t want to go back so I just used my pump to even out the pressures. But I shouldn t have to, obviously! I JUST WENT TO THE TIRE STORE. Lol. For chrissakes. Has it gotten to the point that we just have to double and triple check everybody s work to make sure they did what they re supposed to do correctly? Also, this kind of thing makes me wonder if they actually do any of the balancing that they charge you for. It really does. Too bad, everyone was nice, but in the end they mess up what they re supposed to be doing for you and you re paying them for.

Weve been coming here for years, and the service has consistently been excellent, aside from the rare occasion a small tool was left under the hood, which I hope won t continue. I do need to bring the car back due to a rattling sound under the hood since our last visit, but I m confident it ll be taken care of.

I had a problem with my vehicle. I had just finished burying my 95 year and best friend,my mom. After the funeral I needed to be back in Florida to continue running my business which i couldnt afford to have closed. Driving an hour I experienced front end problems. My vehicle was shaking as I applied my brakes. I still had 1400 miles to go. It was 330 pm in the afternoon. The only business that would listen to my problems was in Troy, Mavis discount tire. I told them about my situation and my mom and how important it was to get to Florida. They said they were pretty booked the rest of the day and closed at 6. Gadlisa asked me to hols on. She came back on and said she talked to her manager Jed. She said she told him about my whole situation and also what I had recently been thru. Jed told her to have me get my car to them as soon as possible. I got directions and arrived at 445pm. Jed and the entire place rallied behind Jed. They had to replace brakes ,rotors,and a few other items. I am moat grateful to Jed and the entire Mavis staff for helping me thru a most difficult time and situation. I will always save my needed repairs when driving thru troy for Mavis. I am now a lifelong Mavis customer and also forever grateful. Im only sorry I couldnt give them a 100 stars

Mavis discount tire repaired and remounted one of my tire half year ago. I recently noticed that the repaired tire has worn significantly more than 3 other tires. Upon closer inspection, the tire (asymmetrical) is mounted inside out. I talked to store manager, and they refused to fix it or compensate for the tire, and insisted on charging full price for repair.

Jed and his crew was excellent. Carlos and crew outstanding job explaining to me the work that he was going to be doing on my car it was a brake job. The young lady that work at the front desk the service was great.

Gadlisa and Jed provided exceptional services

Driver side wheel completely fell off while driving on i90 east. No wheel studs were attached, wheel flew to the other side of i90 west. We paid $1800 for 2 front tires, alignment and spindle knuckle kit on passenger side. Absolutely do not have your vehicle serviced here. Don t put your life at risk, don t put your vehicle at risk and don t put the lives of other people at risk if they are in your car. Luckily no one was harmed but this could have been a horrible accident that could have taken lives of many. So sad to see that shops with these powerful air tools can t seem to put tires on right, but on other hand people that do know about cars, using just regular breaker bars can absolutely tighten wheels down safely and will never come off just by driving.

Would be zero stars. A family members vehicle was serviced, picked up this past Thursday (9/5/2024) just for their wheel to fly off in the middle of traffic! Whoever serviced this vehicle needs to be reprimanded & FIRED and all services going forward need to be signed off and inspected prior to being handed off to a customer.

If there was a possible way to give 0 stars I would. 3 days ago my sister had her tire changed at Mavis, 2 days ago (the next day) my little sisters tire flew off on the highway. Causing her to lose control of her vehicle and ultimately putting her in great danger. We thank God that her 1 year old had just been dropped off and was not in the car while it happened. Mavis corporate office has yet to reach back out to rectify the issue, and the manager of the location itself first offered help, then stopped communicating. I wouldn t wish this on anyone, please don t support a company whom won t support their once loyal customers.

Very friendly staff! Was able to see me even when Im not from the area and needed help fast while on vacation and wanted back on the road.

Passing through the area and thought i needed a new tire due to it leaking air, the guy who help me name was Jacob and informed me that the tire was good but it was the valve stem that was the problem. Saved me a bunch of money and time.

I took my car in an emergency due to bad breaks and other mechanical issues right when they were closing and very busy, but they still took my car for the night and had it ready for me the very next afternoon. Highly recommend going here and everyone is so nice and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door!

Jed is awesome!! I had back to back tire repair issues and he was able to take care of the situation in an efficient and professional manner. His customer service was greatly appreciated during unfortunate times!

an Auto shop with a Manager (Jed) and really all the Staff who have integrity.! Their technicians, Managers and receptionist were honest, communicated well and worked tirelessly on my car. I had a lug nutt on my tire that was melted and bolted into my rim (a nightmare for me) but they were there with me to the end to solve the problem.! I could not be more happier, appreciative and grateful with their staff.!

Stopped in for scheduled maintenance and spoke with the store manager Jed. Very fast, zero hassle. He did not try and oversell any additional work and gave me tips on how to do things myself so I wouldn t have to come in as much. 10/10 recommend.

Had a nail in my tire that could not be plugged. Jed not only made sure that I got the proper service, he also worked with me financially to get two new tires. He went above and beyond for me and I appreciate that so much!

Jed is the best

Went in and any problems that happened the workers we super helpful and patient. The guy working the desk today was very nice and thorough with everything, and went above and beyond to help with any issues we ran into.

I was hesitant to stay because I just wanted to buy tires and take them to my local shop I go to but I was basically pressured by who I am assuming was the manager that I had to do them there - which I know I did not have to. Every question I asked was scoffed at and they did not care about my concerns and questions. Regardless of my experience there was a man who had been sitting in there for 8 hours because they stripped all of tire bolts. He had told me that every other customer that day had been coming in complaining because their expierence was so good. I do not recommend.

Came in today for 2 tires and Alignment. Had an appointment.. the 2 guys where slammed with a few cars Manager explains. going to be a bit but we will get you right in.. i get that cool i figure atleast ahr and half 2hr.. well half hour later my tires are on and hes going to do the Alignment.. the other guy knocks out some tires doing a great job.. as managers where picking up cleaning and helping the guys way to go mavis.. my truck which was way out of wack now tight and steering wheel straight.. never thought a franchise chin would be this good...

Boy what day Ive had with itllthe 4th July holiday. I stopped in to Mavis on 5th Ave Troy.. two of the most professional workers helped me. Now mind you, Im old school customer service and its really hard to get good service with a integrity these days. Jed and Gedlisa were the 2 I was blessed servicing me. They were the nicest , most courteous, knowledgeable.ost importantly, i was amazed by their professional knowledge and their integrity! I went to Mavis in Troy to get my front tires replaced. Within one week the tire sensor light went off on my dashboard and I assumed it was because they didn t fill it with air. I fill it with air and had to travel downstate. On the way downstate the tire pressure light went off again, so I called the Troy Mavis who connected me with another local Mavis in the area I was in over 2 hrs away. They took me in and couldn t find an issue with the tire. They only assumed** the tire valve wasn t changed out and that it was potentially leaking air. They sent me on my way, didn t put my hubcap on correctly and on the way back home I hear a noise and in my review mirror I see my hubcap spinning away on the interstate. Two days later my tire pressure light goes off again. I took it to Troy Mavis for a second time who said the tire valve needed to be sealed because it was leaking air. A week and a half later I had to travel again and on the way there my tire pressure light goes off again. I get to my destination ok but upon leaving 30 minutes later I find my tire is completely flat. I called Mavis in Troy to let them know this happened and to see if they can connect with the local Mavis in the area I was in since they did that last time and they said there s nothing for them to do because I didn t buy a warranty for the tire and they gave me customer service number to call..essentially is not their problem. I called AAA who towed me to a THIRD Mavis in the area that I was in and they said the tire was no good at this point because it leaked so much air there was no restoring it. They said the tire valve was completely rusted. I had to buy another new tire within a month. The fact that two Mavis discount tires (twice at the Troy location) were negligent with replacing the rusted tire valve with new tires is upsetting. I made a call out to the regional manager who was easy to get ahold of. I was able to get refunded which I am grateful for. The Troy Mavis workers and manager are very nice but it was unfortunate that this was my first experience.

Great service was quick and an overall great experience

Noticed my brakes were grinding on a Tuesday morning, called on a Wednesday afternoon and they took my car that evening. Car was ready midday Thursday! Awesome service, very transparent about what was needed and didn t try to oversell me (which most places do to women), and no surprises when I went to pay - it was only ~$2 (two dollars) off what was quoted. Jacob and Jed were awesome, I will be a returning customer!

Visting the area and have to get 4 hours home. Come to find out we have a nail in our tire, on a Sunday morning... Called Mavis and Sean told me they could get us right in. We pulled in and Gadlisa got us taken care of, recommended a place for coffee, and had us fixed and out in under 45 minutes. Incredible. Absolutely saved the day. If I lived in Troy, Id go back to have them replace all 4 tires.

Our tire valve snapped off during a trip, causing our tire to lose all its air; and we had to get towed. They replaced it and we had no problems for the rest of our vacation. All the people who worked there were friendly and kind; Gadlisa was especially helpful and reassuring.
