I bought some replacement filters for my reverse osmosis but wasn’t quite sure how to install them correctly. Damien walked me through the whole process over the phone and answered all my questions without even seeing the equipment. Great service team! Product works wonderfully too.
Very disappointed with the service and pricing from Culligan. They charged us $490 for a simple 20-minute visit where they only replaced two cartridge filters and inspected a few parts that didn't need replacing. The cost felt excessive for the minimal work done. Unfortunately they have priced themselves out of our future business.
Well, they bring clean water right to your front door. Most excellent. Our "delivery technician", Stephen, is also most excellent. Also, kinda' hot. (Hey Culligan Man!). We like him very much. He should get paid more.👍🏼 "Client maintenance" pro (aka customer service) Lisa is, indeed, totally excellent. She should get a raise. And a wine and cheese basket. Not one of those cheap baskets but a good one that has the meats and jams and crackers too, chocolate (the good stuff!) ...and those weird little hard strawberry candies. And two bottles. Seriously. 😄 PS: Get one for Stephen too.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Usually the delivery drivers are so kind and attentive, until today. The driver parked at our racist neighbors house and we tried to explain you can’t park there. We just got back from vacation late last night and told him he could leave/skip our home if he couldn’t get into our driveway. Instead he wanted to be a salt hero and scream at us about our delivery. When I tied to tell him he was going to the wrong door she started to scream “the doors locked! Go unlock your door then. You are making this so hard and difficult” going in and on he continued to yell at us, get in and out of truck in an angry triad all in our neighbors driveway before leaving. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or unsafe by a delivery man’s actions before. I was trying to tell him he went past the correct door and it’s always locked, we have the bag dropped then we bring them down ourselves. I’ve NEVER been treated in such a way by a delivery person as I was today. Unprofessional, unleashed anger, completely uncalled for. GM Mark stated he would be in touch and it’s been over a week now.
Worst company ever. I called for my office to pay bill a month since they had a system update with no warning to the office. I spoke to the lady she took the office payment and put a card on file supposably. Well a month later I get another bill and shows the payment was never taken care of. Spoke to a Desmond at the office and took my card information and placed me on a fifteen minute hold to tell me they can't process a payment due to an issues where they need some payment Id and he need to get this to his manger and IT and will give me a call at end of business day that day. However no call, I waited till 3 pm the following day and spoke to a Donna and she said they are remodeling offices and Desmond is moving his office so can't look a t the payment so I need to wait on him for what another month to go by to tell for another late charge.
I try to only every leave positive reviews, but my experience with Culligan has been so bad I feel like I need to warn future customers. We use Culligan for water delivery for our office and have had multiple missed deliveries with no explanation. Delivery and sales representatives (including management) showed no interest in assisting us, and were openly rude throughout the whole process. We have now been billed for a delivery that never occurred, but I cannot get though to a representative to fix the issue. I also can't get through to a delivery representative to schedule any future deliveries. I have left my phone number so many times for a callback (6+) over the last month or two and never hear back. I also emailed a corporate feedback email address but never heard back. At this point I just want to close out our account and move to another company (I'll even just eat the loss on the incorrect bill to be free of this company) but I still can't get through to a representative to even terminate service. I'm willing to wait on hold, but eventually the system just forces you to leave a callback number and hangs up, and no one ever calls back. I'm truly at a loss. EDIT: I did reach someone in billing, and they were very helpful. So far the two people I spoke to in billing over the last 2 months were very competent and easy to work with. We are still closing the account I did just want to give credit where credit is due.
Updated 9/15/24: (3 stars) Mark (who replied to this review on behalf of Culligan) was able to finally resolve our outstanding issues and get our dispenser and remaining bottles picked up. While I'm grateful for the resolution, it should absolutely not have taken this much time and effort. I hope that Culligan will learn from this (and others') experience(s) and do better for future customers. *** Original review: (1 star) The only thing this company makes easy is signing up for service with them. We signed up for water delivery (with a dispenser rental) in April and ended service last month after choosing to buy our own dispenser and purchase water through our office supplies delivery company instead. All throughout our time with Culligan, we’ve had nothing but issues with billing and delivery. No one there seems to communicate with anyone else in other departments. At present, I am waiting on them to come pick up their dispenser, two full bottles that were delivered by mistake even after canceling, and two empties. Despite calling Wednesday to confirm a Friday (today) pickup, and calling again today to confirm we were still on, it’s now 7:30 in the evening and everything is still sitting outside. The after-hours answering service also could not be any less competent or helpful. Do yourself a favor and get your water from literally anyone else. It’ll save you a ton of time and headaches.
Bought a system last year. Signed up for the privilege program and salt delivery. I pay every month for salt, why do I have to go to the local hardware store to buy salt? It’s been empty for 3 months. I have a special code for the driver to enter. Last used in January after I complained for a month and a half. Hey Chris , ( General Manager) How about you call me this time. I’ve left several messages for you over the past 5 months, and by the way, your office girl is rude to your customers. Real piece of work. Way to keep the referrals coming in from your new customers. We do 20 homes a year. Think my company will refer yours to new homeowners that ask about a system??? My business number is public. Press 1000. My XT. Jan 2024 - Update- Found black particles in our coffee maker tank and water was purple color. Went to investigate what was wrong with the softener. Never thought to check the installation because Culligan is professional… Right…. The toilette, washing machine and one second floor bathroom was all that they had put on the softener. We bought this to protect the entire house. Their reverse osmosis system was also not on the softener. Has the entire basement and water system re done to make everything on the system. These guys got beat out by an electrician doing plumbing. Notice the two other vertical lines next to the one that hits the softener….they are feeds to the house from the well….

This place is an absolute joke and everyone who works there should be ashamed of how the place is run. Called two months ago to cancel my plan since they missed multiple deliveries and just received a bill via email. When I was in phone with the man who was supposed to be cancelling my account, he gave me so much attitude and did not off any way to rectify the situation just tried to get me to stay on the plan. After telling him I wanted to cancel again, he canceled it and I hasn t his to send me an email letting me know the plan was canceled did I receive it, NOPE! Stop telling people you changed systems and things have been screwed up! They have been screwed up for over a year. I hope someone contacts me and I don t get a message from the manager asking me to contact him. Someone needs to involve a lawyer and the better business bureau.
Nightmare of an experience. I had them install a water softener and RO system years ago. Water softener has been fine although the install dragged one of my pipes down over time and I had to get it fixed by a plumber. RO system has never worked right. Leaky and noisy. Ive just turned it off and bought bottled water for a while now. I tried cancelling my service with them and they told me that my payment info would be removed and I wouldnt get another charge. Then another charge showed up. I called again and they said oh you wont actually be charged and well remove your info for real this time. They didnt and I got charged. I dont know if this is incompetence or deceit. Either way, its bad. I wish I had hired a plumber to install a water softener and avoided all of this mess. Going to the hardware store to buy salt is no big deal. It costs like $7 a bag.
I had a water softener and RO system installed in May of 2023 and since then noone has brought any salt or checked on our filter for the RO system since. I have called 6 times in the past month and they act like someone will come out that week I call and get none has called or come out to bring the salt or check the filter. Please beware this company will take your money and laugh when you call for service.
unfortunately even one star is too high, we had our system/ filters installed over 3 years ago im so sad to say the troy office has been horrible, the billing dept is very nasty and unprofessional last week this woman was arguing with me over bank charges,i was reading the charges off of my online bank statement she was arguing that they werent there she then slammed the phone down and hung up on me i had to call the scotia office a very nice lady named christina who helped us cancel our service, she connected me to Devan who was friendly and at least facilitated our cancellation. I have yet to receive a confirmation of our cancellation, were paying over 600 dollars per year for service 60 dollars per month, all weve received in almost 4 years was a few bags of salt left outside our door and 1 filter change that i had to call for weeks to get them out here, they cancelled our appointment over 5times saying the guy was ill, when the man finally came he was nice and admitted that they have no staff to cover their service area, i have requested to speak to supervisors on many occasions never to get a call back, we paid over 5000 dollars for this system i am so sorry we did, this office in troy is giving culligan a bad name, i have to say the scotia office is much better,more knowledgable and professional i guess ill have to buy my own salt and filters
When we first got the Culligan system 11 years ago, they were pretty good. As of 2019 they have gone completely downhill! We have the service plan where we were told all salt will be delivered for free. Then without prior authorization we noticed a $300 withdrawal from our bank account. When we called to inquire about it they said they brought us too much salt for the year so we had to pay for it. It is illegal for a business to withdraw any amount they feel like without permission. Also, this was the first we ever heard about a limit on how many bags of salt we can use. If we were going to pay for salt, we would go to the hardware store and get it much cheaper than Culligan charges. We actually have had to buy many bags from the store because they never deliver on time and we run out. They say they are coming and never show up. This happens every time! I just checked my bank statement and noticed on 9/24/24, Culligan made 5 withdrawal transactions from our bank account all in one day. One was for the monthly service plan and the other 4 were random amounts that we have no idea what they were for and did not authorize. On 9/25/24 there was another withdrawal from Culligan which again we do not know what this could possibly be for and we did not authorize it. It seems someone at Culligan is having free range to our checking account. Customer service is a joke. No one can ever seem to help us and they often say the manager will have to call us back and he never does. Our water system never works properly and the service guys seem like they try to help resolve the issues but are always unsuccessful. I could go on and on with all of the problems we have had with this company since 2019. I hear there are much cheaper systems that work better than Culligan and without all of the hassle. We would never go with Culligan again and would never recommend them to anyone!
Been a customer for culligan for years. Have a service contract as well. Been low on salt for two weeks and was supposed to be delivered. Almost impossible to get a hold of someone. The company is going downhill and hopefully a competitor comes into the area and I can switch. Would not recommend.
I had a water softener and RO (water purifier system) installed by Culligan of Troy and had an amazing experience. The estimator Chad was polite, knowledgeable, transparent and very respectful. He advised us of all options and we chose the best that worked for us. Our installation technician Zach was top notch! We recently had a basement flood and he was able to offer some outstanding suggestions for proper equipment placement and went above and beyond. Zach was efficient, respectful and professional throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend these folks and look forward working with them!
We like the water. Delivery is on time and sometimes we were not at home, delivery person came back and delivered the water. Highly recommend to other ls.
I have never experienced such abysmal service until using Culligan Water. It took us several months to even get through to someone to set up service. You would think they would want our business, but apparently not. Since starting service, it has only gotten worse. Our deliveries are NEVER on time. When the deliveries do arrive, they call from an unknown name, unknown number, and when they leave a voicemail, they do not provide a callback number. This makes it impossible for us to return the call if we miss it. The drivers phone should be registered properly through the company so it shows up as Culligan Water. We do not answer blocked calls. We ve also experienced several billing issues, and I can never get through to someone to help or reschedule a delivery if it was missed due to the driver calling from a blocked number. Do not waste your time or money. Look for a different company. I would not recommend Culligan. It s been the absolute worst service, and their workers are so incompetent they can t even be bothered to send an email or call back. (I ve been waiting a week and have reached out several times).
Excellent products and service
Culligan of Troy, NY installed a home treatment system in our newly constructed home a little over 7 yrs ago and paid I $7,800 for the system. Having never been on a private well, purchased the privilege program after being informed that all parts, labor and service would be covered under this program. Program started out at $45/mo and went to $60/mo over the course of the 7 yrs. Culligan performed annual maintenance and salt deliveries were covered. However, a month ago panel on the salt softner began losing time and doing regens frequently. Called for service and they needed to replace battery in panel. Next month received a bill of $59 for battery replacement. Not a great deal of money, but when having already paid $7,800 for equipment, along with $720 a yr for program that was supposed to have covered equipment failures, it was a kick in the teeth. Besides, if Culligan didn t cover this lesser piece of equipment what would they do if a much more expensive piece failed? Called office and was advised battery was not a covered item, which is contrary to the brochure and sales rep which stated all parts and labor were to be covered under their Privilege Program. I have since cancelled the Privilege Program and found a new water treatment company to service my equipment. Beware that Culligan does have proprietary parts used in their equipment, so as they start to go I ll be replacing with another manufacture s products. In summary, VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY!

I spoke with Lisa to arrange a service visit on Culligan equipment already installed and running in a home my wife and I bought. She arranged a service visit within the week. Brock went through everything to verify function, deliver a treatment chemical and instructed me on how to maintain the system. Desmond followed up a few days later and I told him that I was actually planning on calling their office to compliment Lisa and Brock for all of their help. Thank you very much, I recommend Culligan of Troy.

My well in upstate NY is sulfur water and bc of Culligan, I don t have smelly water and can also safely drink it. I ve had problems with scheduling service, deliveries and getting through to them on the phone but I m happy to report their problems have been resolved. I can actually get through on the phone and when they reschedule it s not last minute. I m happy bc they are a wonderful company and want them to succeed bc their products are excellent.
Office staff is very responsive and helpful. Delivery dates accurate and efficient. Tech staff are knowledgeable with good attention to detail.

If you live in the hilltowns or any were other than colse to troy. Do not get this service. They over charge and never answer your phone calls. And then when you cancel service they yell at you saying that they dont work in that department and its not there fault. Dont ask why someone is canceling if youre just going to yell at someone.
I use their outside water fill. It has been out of service for months. I called today to find out if it was working 5/19/2023. I drive to Troy put a 5.00 bill in and it says use exact change. I try to retrieve my 5.00 bill to no avail. So I go into the office to tell them and get change which I did and get my money back but machine still not working.I am a regular customer that spends 20.00 a week. Bad service.

Multiple attempts this month to have salt delivered to our home. Both times no one has called to let us know they were not coming. I called with concerns and was told that there is no one to deliver to our route. This apparently has been happening for the past 3 weeks. Our third attempt to get salt will be on 6/13 if someone actually shows up. They did take off some of our monthly charge for the lack of delivery in May. Still disappointing paying for a service and not getting the service in return.
They have gone downhill since my original delivery guy left right before the pandemic. I could always count on him to be here with my salt delivery within the 2 hour time slot he gave me on the day I was scheduled. If he was running late or early, he would always call me to let me know. He was great. I never had any issues at all with him. Since then, forget it. I pay a monthly price to have my salt delivered every so many months. They text me, most times, 2 days in a row to remind me of my delivery date. They do not give me a 2 hour time slot. Therefore, I m waiting for them all day long, to find out when I call them at 4:30pm that they didn t have a driver for my route today. No one had the decency to call me and let me know that. This is the kind of treatment and service I get for the monthly price they charge me every month. Unbelievable!!!! I could ve done something else today, instead of waiting around all day for nothing. I don t know what changed up there, but they better get their act together and get all the routes scheduled that day covered and also with a 2 hour time frame. There is no reason that can t be done, so I or any customer can make plans around that time frame if we have to, instead of wasting our time for nothing. I m so aggravated and disgusted with them being so disrespectful like all I have to do is wait around all day and wait for them. This is not the first time this has happened either. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB if nothing changes with my next delivery. I ve had enough.
Water deliveries are extremely inconsistent. You ll be lucky if they even show up. For months I have had deliveries be pushed out for weeks at a time with no communication. Then one month they never even showed up and I still got billed. I don t know how they can still keep customers with this kind of service. Avoid at all costs if you re looking for reliability.
They do not have drivers to deliver 5 gallon bottles of water. I understand that they are having this problem. However that is what I pay money for each month, there is no communication. There have been times where I have called during the posted business hours and had to leave a message with the answering service and have not gotten a call back. Ive been told that I should be receiving a call when they cannot make my delivery, this is not occuring. I have gone weeks without drinking water because Culligan cannot fulfill their contractual obligations to me and I am not compensated. I do understand that they are short staffed and I have even been told about their issues with their drivers being unreliable and calling out, however that does not change the fact that they have never informed me that they cannot meet their contractual obligations. If they do not have reliable delivery people, they should not be offering water delivery service until the situation is rectified. Also they keep telling me that I received 4 bottles of water in April, apparently that is what my account indicates. I keep telling them that I did not receive those 4 bottles and have asked that erroneous record be removed from my account. They will not remove it.
They replaced my water softener with a HE one and it was installed fast and efficiently.
We bought a Culligan system in fall of 2022. The system wasn t installed properly and after several technicians coming out it still doesn t work properly. It works for about a week then stops softening water. I ve never even had to add salt to it because it doesn t work. Then trying to get someone here takes a month. The company has never compensated us for this. We re left with a several thousand dollar system that doesn t work and a headache. On top of this our appointments have been pushed off or canceled several times. When we call and complain we get nowhere.

After the install all my questions were answered and I was confident about the system. It works beautifully and we couldn t be happier. All the people we worked with were professional, friendly and took their time to make sure we were comfortable with our choice. You can t go wrong getting a system from them.
They were great but things have gone down hill. Constant changes in appointments and being rebooked for months out. I am thinking about obtaining a new service that is reliable.
Somehow my review was deleted so ill try again. 1. Company is awful and customer service is awful. They dont answer/return calls. 2. Bought a new system in 2022 and its been in bypass since. The person who installed never took it out. Just found that out today from a different company with much better customer service. 3. Please please please do business with anyone but them. You will regret it if you do.

I have had a Culligan system for about 30 yrs and am very happy with the service I receive and with the system. I grew up with well water and know the need to filtrate such water for impurities. Our water is extremely hard with a lot of iron, off the charts hard. With the Culligan system the hardness is gone. I added their reverse osmosis system and the quality of the drinking water is awesome, makes excellent coffee! I found I had extremely high levels of radon in my soil so added the charcoal backwash system to the filtration and that is also helping. The service/service plan is great, the staff at the office are helpful. I am very happy with my system and the company.
I have had a complete household system for 10yrs. They come to your house yearly to inspect their system along with a change of filters. The staff are knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. Great Company!!!
Awesome company! I am so glad that I contacted collagen they have great programs and options for the everyday user and for those on disability or low income. The water tastes great its clean and if you have gut right trust me this is the solution my stomach issues had completely dissolved after having this unit in my home for a few weeks I use it daily with my coffee. My pets seem to be doing much better as well digestively no more foul gas after they drink their water. I give Culligan A++++
As I sit here on hold for the past hour with this company (my 7th time sitting on the 5 minute hold line before they send you to a voice mail that will never be returned), I decided to be a bit more productive with my time and leave a review. I contacted the company to perform annual maintenance for my whole home water treatment system. The visit was scheduled for 2 months in advance. Two weeks shy of the visit, I was contacted due to cancellation. Awesome, I thought. The technician arrived on time but instead of performing the whole system maintenance, he only had a work order for the softener system. The chemical treatment system was not touched nor did the tech have the equipment to perform the work. I was hoping to have this work completed by now but as I sit here on hold I can only imagine they will schedule me out for another 2 months to perform the work I requested 2 months ago... maybe. There are plenty of other companies that will answer the phone, thats a start. They will also perform the work that needs to be done, even on culligan-installed equipment. Save yourself 4 months of headaches and hours of sitting on hold for a human to speak to and go with one of them.

Delivery service is seamless. We purchased our system about 20 years ago and it is still performing very well. Even had a salesman here to check it out to see if we needed to get new equipment. He said we were just fine.
Always the nicest techs. Harry tuned up our system today, and i wish there was a way to make sure he comes back next year!

We received our salt delivery on the promised date. When I get service, the technician is prompt, friendly, and explains the service performed. The maintenance plan is cost effective and convenient. With this plan, you pay a reasonable monthly charge and there is no charge for the routine annual maintenance and salt deliveries 4 times a year.
First, Culligan of Troy responded to my inquiry right away while others still have not returned my calls. Water Specialist Jamie Caruso is very knowledgeable and Professional with a Friendly Non-aggressive Sales approach. She goes above and beyond for her customers and does not forget you after the sale. The day of the install, Chuck arrived early and finished the job even though the inclement weather would have made others leave early or reschedule entirely. He also shared his knowledge and communicated every aspect of the installation. He was very patient with my questions and super Professional with the household aesthetics. I found the Systems I chose that were important to my Wife and I, along with the Service Plan, broke down to be equal or even LESS than doing it all myself, certainly a ton less work with sooo much Value(esp. w\Culligan Connect App) to having the Peace of mind!!! My water deliveries are either late or don t show up at all. This is the second month in a row my delivery doesn t show up, and I m still being charged for it. I called numerous times and left plenty of messages. No one has contacted me. This company straight up takes peoples money. I m gonna have to cancel my credit card because I can t even cancel my service with them. Awful customer service, awful company. Please do not even waste your time with them and fill up your own water jugs, because you are gonna have to do it anyways. These guys are a joke, no one knows what it going on in that entire place. Straight up robbery at this point
We were customers for 7 years with a salt delivery contract. Unfortunately, they no showed on our auto deliveries many times. On a few occasions, they charged my card after a no show. Customer service was equally as bad as their deliveries.
I needed an upgrade and changes to my existing Culligan system. I called Joe McCarthy to discuss my options. He was very responsive and was at my house in short order. He presented my options very clearly and was transparent on the pricing. He sent in a good implementation team who did an excellent implementation. Joe followed up this week to test the water after the changes and to ensure that we were happy with the upgrade. I would definitely recommend Culligan because the excellent team that I have interacted with over the past few weeks.

Just had my softener and water filter installed and the guys that came here were fantastic. They answered all my questions with knowledge and patients.
No response almost I call 10 times bed customer service 1 person tell me delivery boy come and pick up staff but one come I have to live my apartments ASAP BUT no one come and pick and already changed my. Money very bad customber service no response at all

Have called for service. 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time I was told that someone would call me back. First call was on 6/20/2022. Followed by calls on 6/5, 6/6 and today 6/7. Nothing and we have a contract with them.
Terrible customer service rep, never deliver salt when swear they will, didnt show on sched time for repair then was upset that we werent home a day early and pretty much blow off any customer that doesnt live in a 5 mile radius of their shop

Very easy process from picking the system and having it installed. 3 years ago we had a new well put in and struggled with a filter system to help with hard water at 14 ppm, and we have had the softener system installed a couple of weeks now and it has made a huge difference. Dishes are spot free, showers are amazing and laundry come out cleaner. So glad we got the Culligain water softener system!

Water delivery they are suffering, can never deliver enough, you confirm the appointment then they dont show up, then you call and you get an answering service. Feel bad for the drivers thats the only reason I gave them 2 stars, customer service is a flat zero.

I have been dealing with Culligan for over 30 years. I have owned there Reverse Osmosis equipment, There water softeners, feeder pumps and whole house carbon filters. These people are the WORST. I had to junk there softener learned to service my own chlorine feeder and reverse osmosis filter out of necessity because of there poor equipment, inconsistent and uneducated service technicians. There are good water service companies out there this is NOT one of them.
Edit - problems were resolved after initial frustrations. Water quality has been much better since injector pump replacement. Find a different water treatment company. The lease and service plan is a sham and they miss appointments more often than not these days. No one answers a service phone when you call. If you can get an appointment it is weeks before they can show up to fix and of they dont show up you go to the bottom of the list and wait weeks again. You will not get what you pay for. I had a service 2 months ago in which they installed a bad part. Sulfer water was evident within 2 days. It took 4 weeks to get a technician with one no show appointment in between. The system worked for about a week after that repair. They didnt show for the scheduled monthly the following week and again have failed to show for another monthly appointment. We have not had serviceable water for 7 of the last 8 weeks. This is on a leased system. What is actually being paid for?
Im extremely disappointed in their service. My system threw an error code over the weekend so I called today for service which is included in the $40+ a month I pay under the privilege program. They cant get here to repair it for a month. A MONTH. I asked if it was normal for a customer with a broken system to have to wait that long and was told, yeah, weve had customers waiting a month and a half or two months. Summer is busy. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention I still experience hard water and especially iron staining my shower, washer, and sinks. Ive had minor issues with them in the past not delivering salt on time or at all, and overfilling the salt tank to the point there was salt piled up on my basement floor that was just left and not cleaned up. However, leaving our family without a functioning softener for a month is completely unacceptable.
Started our delivery service back in May of 2020 and for the first year or so, things were going great. Water was delivered on time without any issues. This past year, scheduled deliveries continue to be delayed, without reason, and no one at the Culligan office answers the phone. My messages are forwarded to a call forwarding service, but still no call back from Culligan. My family relies on this water, and my weekly trips to Home Depot for bottle fills are defeating the purpose of the delivery service. They are leaving me no options other than seeking out competitors (Crystal Rock). Update - August 2022 Delivery consistency turned around for a few months, but we are back at the same point of missing deliveries. Were called and informed that delivery will happen on X-date, then no show, no call, nothing. Deliveries are then rescheduled for a month later, stating we wont have anyone in your area for a month. Bad business model -- all delivery should be moved one day instead of one route being forgotten for a month. Office is receptive to crediting accounts for missed deliveries, but I still need to go to Home Depot to buy water on my own, defeating the purpose. Culligan of Troy -- figure it out. This is unacceptable.
They miss my delivery every other month. After not getting water this month, they said they can deliver in 4 weeks time.
Dont even bother-girls in the office are nice enough (if you can get ahold of them) delivery drivers never show, technicians have no idea what they are doing.

Very dissatisfied, I wish you could give no stars or negative stars. The Culligan name has gone down hill. You cant get ahold of anyone at the office, they always let it go to an answering service and then dont call back. They screwed up dilivery of filters three times in a row. Not to mention they are overpriced for the quality they deliver. You would be as well off going with someone else to install a water softener. Dont listen to the paid for reviews you see on here, Dont go with Culligan. Update: they told me that they would not charge me for the filters after the debocal it was in getting them, they then billed me. When I brought it up they initially refused to honor this until I argued the point. They have additionally accused me of trying to steal the filters. Unbelievably terrible customer service and rude staff.

We are in the district serviced by Troy. Horrible service. They don t answer the phones. They don t give you an estimated time they will come by for service. In the past we have waited all day and they never showed! Currently 2pm and no sign of them. Again

Called looking to get a comprehensive water test with lab analysis. It was listed as a service on the website. The salesman came onsite and stated they don t do that and just gave us a quote for a system after doing a simple test with no print outs. I called the office to inquire about the mixup and I was told i should find a lab for tests and I was wasting their time. The salesman then hung up on me.

I never reach local office, its always forwarded to Answering Service...even during regular business hours...deliveries are punctual. I just looking for a return call when my unit will be replaced at my home? Ive called several times today and no answer whatsoever. I woke up to water all over my kitchen floor as it leaked all night and I fell 1st think in the morning on an ice cold wet floor

I have been a customer of Culligan since 1971. I call for assistance for someone to come out cause I thought my conditioner was leaking. The tech came in and closed a valve near the conditioner and the water stopped. He said he would not charge me for coming out. He was here maybe all of two minutes and I thanked him he was very nice and said that I would not have to pay this bill I just received an email from them with my bill posted for auto pay for $248 including the $175 service call which I was under the agreement with this tech that I would not be charged for so I called and talked to someone at Culligan and she said the tech did not put that on the paperwork and I would have to pay it . I told her to take me off of auto pay, and do not deliver any more salt to me. I am done with Culligan. She said she would not charge my credit card but she would send me a bill for the $175 and the three bags of salt. They also charged me two service fees at $7.50 apiece. She did take one of those off. I did not like her attitude and I thought she was very unkind. She wouldn t even let me talk to a manager she said they were all in a meeting.
KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY! Purchased the system and we pay annually for drinking water- Product ok but operations and customer service are HORRIBLE. Annual service is booked 3-4 MONTHS from when you get the notice & call and the telephone booker I spoke to was unpleasant. The billing office isn t good either- had to provide new credit card multiple times. The service guys are ok but the rest of this operation is POOR!

DONT EVER USE CULLIGAN! I really wish I could give no stars. They have the WORST customer service ever. We have been a customer of theirs for approximately 2 years. Our payment is taken out of our account every single month, on time, never late. More times than not in the 2 years weve been customers, they just dont show up for our water delivery. Last Thursday they called to confirm the delivery for Friday, we put our jugs out on our porch and they never showed up. I called at 4:30 pm on Friday (they close at 5) and received the answering service. Left a message and no call back. I had to go to the grocery store to buy water to get us through the weekend although I shouldnt have to since we pay on time every month for water delivery. I called Monday morning and spoke to Cassandra, explained what happened. She looked back on our file and said to me Well, weve been good the last 3 months with delivering Yay!!! Good for you, it should be delivered on time, like my payment is always on time. I spoke to Laura, a manager and she advised they would be here tuesday. They were sending a service technician out to deliver our water. I received a call last night to confirm the delivery. Guess what.....no show AGAIN! I called and spoke to Laura and she said, Im really sorry, Im embarrassed to make this call, but they arent coming. The best we can do is Thursday. Not once did she try to make it right. Obviously they dont care about their customers and dont want our business. Come get your stuff. Itll be on the porch waiting with our empty jugs.

I had an appointment for a repair to our water softener on Saturday, May 16th. No one showed up, no one called to reschedule. I called on the day of and left a message with their answering service to please have someone call me. Nothing. Called again today at 1pm and left another message with the answering service. No response.
I like that our water is being filtered to remove harmful chemicals, etc. The service person who came to our home was courteous and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with the result.
Worst service EVER - from beginning through today! Salt NEVER delivered on time, Every time unit is serviced we have to have a recall because somehow the system doesnt work after servicing! Billed me for 5X the monthly amount WITHOUT a call, RUDE people on the phone, have never been reimbursed for damage done to my faucets and porcelain despite submitting the bill numerous times! I SIMPLY CANT DEAL WITH THIS ANYMORE! INFURIATING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. 03/16/21 True to form, customer service still THE WORST! Almost out of salt, AGAIN, husband called and arranged delivery for yesterday and NO ONE showed up. When he called today the typically unpleasant receptionist informed he we weren t due until June and that there was no delivery scheduled for yesterday. (To bad we have email confirmation from Laura). Not to mention, still waiting for faucet reimbursement - for what, a year or so...... 06/11/21 - Sold our house and cancelled service for 05/31/21, BUT GUESS WHAT? STILL BILLED FOR JUNE. Not surprising, as this has been the absolute worst experience EVER! PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY ASAP - CANT GET THROUGH ON THE PHONES!!!!!

A service call was requested after water turned noticeably salty. The Culligan service rep, Zach, was able to adjust the water softener settings and return the situation to normal.
Ive had a contract with them for 1 year. At our first opportunity to get regular service I made an appointment for a time slot between 8-10. At 1030 I called to ask why the service person had not shown up. I was told that he had called out sick at around 10 am. Apparently no one missed him and it appeared to me that this was nothing unusual by the staff. I explained that I on the other hand show up to work each day and that this appointment was made possible by moving my schedule around. I was told that they could send someone 3 days later and I would be the first appointment. The day before a staff person called and left a message that they would be there there between 1 and 3 the next day. I called the office and explained to the person in the office that we had agreed on the first appointment of the day. She said that was not going to be possible and I told her that if they could not do it I would cancel my contract. They called back later and said we would be first. As I sit her typing this it is 915 and I am still waiting for the service person to show up for the first appointment of the day. The sales team makes great promises of service and great attention to the customer and it is all a lie. I think they are running this business out of their garage and are not the water professionals they claim to be.
I enjoy the quality and fresh taste of Culligan water. Also the delivery man is friendly and offers to install the water even though I don t need him to do this for me. I think I hurt his ears when I scream, Hey Culligan man!
The system that we have filters out the fine grit that used to clog the intake on my washing machine. In addition, I feel better knowing that the water flowing through pipes in my home is free of harmful minerals. I have only had to place one service call on my system since it was installed. The response by Culligan was quick and the issue was resolved. I have taken advantage of the annual check of the system and every technician who came to my home was knowledgeable and courteous.
This is the NINETH appointment they have missed, this one to pick up the cooler and empty water jugs as I have cancelled their service. I have not had water here since the first of July (thereabouts) and I am entirely fed up with empty promises. Enuf said...

I used to take all my empty containers to the stores for a fill up. Now with Culligans water delivery service, I save time and fuel with contactless doorstep delivery service. I also love that they call to confirm the delivery prior to arrival.
The team at Culligan of Troy is an absolute pleasure to work with. After inheriting their system, Ed came out and explained the whole system to us and performed routine maintenance. They explained the service plan we were taking over and all that it included. Since this is our first well system, it was a huge help.
I would highly recommend this system the reverse osmosis and the soft water system to anyone who has hard water issues and doesn t trust of the water that comes out of their tap the osmosis gives you like a 99% purity of water and the soft water system helps my skin so much
We have had culligan for several years, things had been going great until the past year. Always have to call because water does not get delivered. Most times we are expected to wait another week. Excuses are getting old. My money gets taken out of the account on time. This whole place needs to be revamped. Now they wont even answer there phones. Have left 2 messages and no calls back.
We has a huge problem with iron and other hard chemicals before we bought our culligan system. Since then we dont have any problems with stains or anything else. We also purchased the drinking water system. Our drinking water is crystal clear.
December 22 2021 Not only have they not credit the amount back but I am still being charged. Read below as this location should be a concern. After installing a home system and purification system for sink I selected the service program. Had issues with annual scheduling. Spoke to manager as my home was not service for over a year during COVID. The conversation with him did not go well but eventually they agreed to provide purification system as per service program agreement and service home system at no cost. Unfortunately, it did not happen which was disappointing so I canceled the service agreement in August. It is now November for which I am still being charged for service and no one has return call about home system credit. It has not been a good experience and I learned that each Culligan is individually owned. So be wary of location and not necessary Culligan. By the way I used the TROY location on Spring Ave.

Since the our very first few deliveries it has been a struggle with Culligan of Troy. To having irate delivery drivers, deliveries never coming but paid for, not delivering correct amount of bottles,etc. Week of Xmas, just got home from hospital no water still.Now, again 3 messages with no call back, no delivery but paid invoice. No water prob 3 or 4th time in a row. Why? No customer deserves to be treated like this time and time again. Hello Chris. I left 2 more messages for you specifically which you STILL have not replied to which was 2 weeks ago. Your driver did not deliver the correct amount of water AND did not come in and fix the dispenser. I was promised that this would be done and still nothing. I will call once more and if I dont get a reply you have lost my business. Honestly, dont know how this company is in business with the customer service !nd delivery you are providing which is repulsive and getting denied service when I am paying for it.
If you need 5gal water look elsewhere. Every monthly delivery turns into a problem. No show, no one picks up in the office and filthy dented containers that appear to be from a landfill. Take your business and buy from a different more customer friendly vendor.

I have a water softener that is less than a year old and it is already broken down. When I called to have it serviced they said they wouldnt be able to get to me for over a month! So now I am paying on a broken system and cant drink the water in my home on top of it. Culligan is supposed to be the best, however I would recommend trying someone else for sure.
Im giving this review a 1 instead of a 0 because when I do actually recieve my water, the water is perfect. The reason Im only giving one star is because my water deliveries have not been on time for over a year now. No one can be reached at the Troy office, messages left never receive a call back and the bottle amounts when delivered are never correct. Culligan of Troy would not be my provider if I had other options. My family depends on this water, yet we cant depend on Culligan of Troy to provide us the services were paying for.
From start to finish everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was able to understand everything and system itself is more than I hoped for. FANTASTIC!!!
Since they came to our house and dealt with our water system we ve been constantly having problems. Our water have been smelling like bleach and the water keeps turning brown and more.
Worst company Ive done business with getting charged for service and cant even get a straight answer what is happening. Havent had proper drinking water in over a month since the system was reconnected and the day that was talked about over the phone to come fix it wasnt correct. Save yourself a headache and dont get your system from them there is other companies that probably have their stuff together and Culligan of Troy isnt them. Update: they figured out the chargers computer error and sending someone out but no time frame, so I get to hurry up and wait!

Worst company ever! prepaid yearly for the last 15 years and over the last six months they just can t get my water delivered no matter how many times I call how many chances I give them. Then when I decide to cancel because I ve had it they don t refund me for three months of not getting my water delivered. On top of that it has been weeks waiting for them to pick up the water dispenser and bottles . I have to call them every single week and Rebecca decides to start screaming at me on the phone!!! Don t use this company they are terrible!
For two weeks I have been trying to set up a service appointment. Cant get someone to call me back or set up the appointment. It is ridiculous. I would of NEVER went with this company if I knew their customer service was so bad. Update: They called me at 5:00 p.m. unfortunately I did not make it to my phone in time. I called right back, and noone was in the office.
Would not recommend!!!! As far as the set up and when I first signed up in the beginning of 2020 things were fine. There was a mix up with my at the sink water faucet, which the installer was mildly annoyed about. But I asked for black and wanted what I asked for. Fast forward to the summer 2021. Service has been an absolute joke!! Salt deliveries are months late. No one ever calls back, the first people you talk to always want to tell the manager and have them call you and they do not. I pay for a monthly service fee for them to ensure I have their help when needed and to take care of my salt. But they have done very poorly with this. I would recommend you look elsewhere. I wish I had done much more research, between the system cost being over priced and the absolute disaster of an office they currently run there are a lot of other options you can look into. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Totally frustrated - pay extra for automatic salt deliveries and regular service, have run out of salt several times and am told no off route deliveries can be made. One technician comes out and turns the system up so high it runs out of salt early and the next turns the system down so far that my tub and toilet turn orange. All my water faucets are completely decimated and need to be replaced - and they are only 3 years old! Not alot of care or concern that we shouldnt be dealing with these issues after almost 3 years of being a customer. Just had service, tub and toilet turning orange and water smells bad - cant get a technician to our house until 07/31. Not a happy camper!

We also opted for a Aquacleer Drinking Water system, which provides unbelievably fresh and clean water, even here in Clifton Park. Most areas in the Capital Region have hard and dirty water, so both pieces of equipment are important for our health. The Equipment:The HE 9-inch water softener has an updated digital interface, so no more fidgeting with the old-style wheel timers for any set up! And the softener bypass, which used to be a painful process that would always leak, is now a much simpler turn-style handle. No more leaks! Glad to have had the service plan and confidence in Culligan of Troy that they would be able to address the issue immediately. Our overall experience has been amazing. Ive become accustomed to losing trust and faith in some local contractors. We purchased an old home that has required a lot of work and appliance upgrades over the years, and have always had disappointing experiences. However, Culligan made the process easy, provided top notch sales, installation, and service, and will be my go-to for years to come. Their products are great, so it probably will be many, many years before I have to purchase any new equipment from them anyway!

I d give less than 1 star but it won t let me I m not sure what has happened to this company but we ve been a loyal customer for over 21 years. They installed our system including the reverse osmosis and everything was great. Then about 2 or 3 years ago they came for the annual maintenance and charged us over $400 for the service double what it used to be-strike one. Over the all these years i would pick up my own salt and fill the container myself. Last month when I picked up the salt I asked About delivery - it cost like an extra $6 a bag plus a delivery charge on top of that. But since I was Getting a hip replacement I signed Up to Start delivery. you know hard it is to carry 40#s of salt down a flight of stairs with a bad hip? So we scheduled for a delivery 2 weeks ago no one showed up I was Told the truck on the route to service me ran out of salt- how can that happen don t they load up in the morning according to the route they are running? They also said they ran out of salt at the headquarters really? no idea that ever happened- maybe using the COVId excuse for their bad service- so we rescheduled but they wanted to come the day after I was Getting surgery and we asked to change it to today. Another no show! I just Called and they told me some one was here Saturday but we weren t home really? I wasn t Home the day after my hip replacement hmmmm... someone is not telling the truth. So They can not get Any salt for our empty softener tomorrow so they said they will be here Wednesday we ll see about that, in the Meantime my wife will have to go to Home Depot or walmart and get a bag to hold us over and fill the softener herself. I would Totally NOT recommend this company for any type of service whether it be salt or water or service. Since the time we signed up there have been many new companies in The area do your research and be smart
Great service when I call In but they don t seem to give me my products on time or deliver on time or when I state that we re supposed to get something on a certain date it s not delivered on that date or they deliver the water but not the product that I am needing not very happy. We were supposed to get a water cooler today and they never delivered it wasn t supposed to be for us according to them and we were told that it was supposed to be here on the 22nd I m not happy when I m needing water and been without it for over him about a month I should have my product

To all the individuals that are thinking about a water filtration system! We ve been a customer of Culligan for about 4 years, and I must say that it has been an excellent experience! Whenever there was a problem, which wasn t very often, they were right on it, especially the girls in the office at the Troy branch, they were always there for us, and definitely people friendly!! I asked about a UV system that is possibly needed at my home just recently, and they do offer it, wow, very awesome, I was impressed! And every service technician that has come to my home, was very educated, and also friendly. And I must say, our salesman Chad, has been a important asset ever since we ve started! My experience has been great. The jug drop off/pick up is very convenient. We recently had a boil water advisory in my city but since we had the Culligan water dispenser we did not have to worry about boiling water.
Professional service and quality products
Not happy at all they dont return calls. Our water was fine and they came to service our system and put it in backwards is what the next guy that came out said and then he was even here 5 mins and left and we have had horrible water for 3 weeks now and they still cant come out and fix it for another week. We paid alot for the system we have and they dont do anything they said they would do and the service is absolutely horrible and if we had known we would have gone with someone else.
