The full story- Ive recently bought a car and moved into this area and was looking for a good place to do some services on my new to me car and after seeing the great reviews, I was sold for this Mavis So I had scheduled an appointment online for an oil change and to install 2 tires on a Sunday. On Sunday Austin called me a few hours before my appointment to inform me that my tires were going to arrive on Monday instead. Austin kept me updated on the status of the tires until they arrived. Soon as the tires came in they were able to take me in right away the same day within 30 mins. While getting my car in some issues popped up. Based on my tires the uneven wear showed I had an alignment issue. They tested it for free and noticed my alignment was definitely an issue and would cause my new tires to have the same issue. I was in and out within 2 hours. After I left I noticed a hissing sound in my other tires, gave them a call about it shortly after leaving. They looked up my tire size, but didnt have any in stock at their store but there was some in a different store available. Austin went over to the other store to get those tires and they got me back the same day within 30 minutes, and had me good to go and back on the road in no time.

Austin is that dude! Prices were bomb and customer service top tier! 10/10! Will come again !

We had a blowout coming onto a major highway ramp.We found 2 sizes of lugs rendering the jack/tire iron Useless. AAA was unable to help us .A trooper stopped to check on us.Such a great guy and I didnt catch his nameplate.We then were towed by an Awesome driver from Hawvers ? Dawsons?Im sorry.His name was Aaron !! He took us to the local MAVIS where we were told itd be a 2 hour wait(it was 4:30 on Thur afternoon).We were OK with that as they were the Only place with a tire that fit.We were pulled into the bay in far less time and then had the Pleasure of being helped by Austin and Devin. Polite over the phone and they started the work as soon as I arrived for my appointment. I had forgotten the wheel lock key, so service needed to be reschedule, but they were incredibly nice about it.

There terrible I don t recommend going there EVER!!! the managers name is Ryan all he did was sit and play on his phone. I was there from 1:30 too 6:30 waiting for brand new tires. They made me late for work and took there sweet time.

Avoid this location! They destroyed the caliper on my car during a botched brake job and tried to charge me for a new one. That brake job left my vehicle screeching for weeks. I tried to be diplomatic with the manger Ryan and find a solution, but he was so unprofessional. I had to call their corporate office to finally get my vehicle repaired. If you MUST go to a Mavis location for repairs, I suggest you go to the one in Latham and see Gavin & his team. They are true professionals and knows how to treat customers.

Love this place! I go here for most of my car maintenance. Today I had a nail in my tire and they got my car right in! Had my tire fixed and I was back on the road within 30 minutes! This is the only mavis I will take my car to, they are always helpful and do the best they can to get my car in and out fast and with the best service possible!

I was driving up 9, about a hour and a half from home. Low tire pressure warning comes on so I stop to check, and there s a leak around the valve. I saw Mavis and pulled in. Told them what was going on with my tire and Ryan, Austen, and Tyshon got me in as soon as they could, determined that the valve was loose and leaking, tightened the valve, checked my other tires and then told me it was a quick fix so no charge. Couldn t believe it. These guys could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I know they re an hour and a half away from me, but I m bringing my other car there for tires. These guys are great ! Thank you so much

Unfortunately I do not recommend Mavis tire at the Kinderhook location . The management (Ryan) who I spoke with was unprofessional and rude , for a simple phone call that should have been delivered with even a slight attempt to accommodate what they needed to make changes to. I highly recommend mavis tires in Chatham and Hudson. The staff there are workers who are helpful and respectful.

A huge shoutout to Austin and his staff! On a Sunday morning (of all days to have a car issue), I found the lug nuts on my new tires (installed by a competitor) were all loose and car started shaking badly. I pulled into Mavis in Valatie at 8:45am and Austin got me right in. Austin had his mechanics not only check tire with the issue, but also check all my tire lug nuts and air pressure. Austin s customer service is a great asset to your company!

Stopped at this location in route to another destination to fill tire with air. The manager Ryan came out immediately to provide assistance and offered to check to make sure tire has no leaks etc. The service was quick and efficient. Horrible. Does not listen to client s requests and tries to find additional problems to charge you more money. The technician s have absolutely no experience. The manager on site was extremely arrogant and rude and didn t provide any positive customer service.

Needed brakes and tires before getting my inspection. Ordered my parts, got me booked to have the worked done and car inspected in one go. Found a broken suspension bar while doing tires, showed me the broken peice and ordered it and had it delivered on the spot. Great communication through out the process.

I got a flat tire on the toll road here in New York I am from Idaho. I had know idea that. Ryan kept his store open for me to get my vehicle there. he was more than accommodating he went out of his way to make sure that me and my grandkids were back on the road I cannot recommend the store highly enough I dont know what we would have done without his help I can not thank him and his employees enough. If I lived here he would be the only tire store I would use

My mom was broken down due to a flat tire. We thought she was still on the 90 turns out she was on the New York toll road. If you arent local heads up that tow trucks cant pick you up on toll roads. So dispatch from 911 sent their contracted tow truck. We were quoted max $200 from the one we called, and then $400 when the contracted unit came out. Needless to say my mom ended up nursing the car in reverse less than 500 yds so she could drive it herself to Mavise Tire. They stayed open late for her as 2 tow trucks later made it after 6pm. They replaced the tire and checked the others. Turns out a second tire was near blowing from inside tread wear that couldnt be seen from looking at the tires while mounted. I cant thank the crew at Mavis enough we are not local . My mom was driving back to Idaho. She broke down with 3 kids. And would have had to wait at least another day with out there kind help.

Friendly, great service! Ran into a valve issue 2 hours into a long road trip. They fit us in and we were back on the road pretty quickly. Huge relief! Very reasonable cost as well.

Brought in our car for inspection and was told it could not pass because of brake delamination. They offered to do the brake job then and there for $450. I declined and we brought the car to our regular and honest mechanic. Surprise! The car does not need any such thing. Not surprised because the car is relatively new and doesnt have many miles on it. Avoid Mavis of Valatie for car inspections.

Place is never staffed properly... Service tech has no clue what he doing and Manger is clown charges for stuff they couldnt do...

I had an emergency tire issue half an hour before closing. The guys didnt hesitate to get to work with two new tires in under 20 minutes. I am so grateful!

Chris guaranteed that our car which we made an appointment for two days in advance would be done in two to two and a half hours tops was a lie. He should not have scheduled us if he could not ensure that the car could be worked on. We dropped it off at 8am and it is now 545pm. Its literally 15 minutes to closing and the car is still on the lift. Its literally basic work. Tires rotors brakes. This is stuff they are equipped to do and likely do often. Not happy.

I just had the best experience at Mavis in Valatie. The manager RYAN is a very experienced and knowledgeable mechanic in addition to giving me excellent customer service. I had gone to several mechanics prior going to Mavis whom misdiagnosed my car. Ryan literally backed up my car and diagnosed it correctly and immediately. My car needed a wheel bearing and RYAN was willing to stay late to assist in getting my car done. He would have missed his friends wedding and I said no I can wait on my car. Ryan offered to drive me and my two daughters home. I highly recommend this place and trust them completely. Which is very hard to find these days as a single woman in this world. I stopped by Mavis in Valatie because I heard a weird sound in my front left wheel well with a kinda click every time it made the full rotation. I thought maybe something was wrong with my breaks. I talked to Corey about it and although it was pretty busy, he was able to get me in pretty quickly to assess what was going on. They got it lifted, removed the tire, and found it was just a little rock stuck between the rotor and the back heat shield or something like that. Ill DEFINITELY be back and doing some business with him. He couldve done me dirty and told me it was something it wasnt to make a large sale like some other places Ive been when I was younger, but he was honest about it and in doing so made a new customer. Thanks to Corey and his team.

The only place open on a Sunday around here! Came in for a blowout tire and was treated with so much kindness. Not only were they not pushy and overpriced but they even tried to offer the best alternatives for what we needed. This is now the only place I ll trust.

I have to withdraw the previous positive opinion of the Valatie Mavis upon learning the bad shocks and strutz they replaced while my truck was there for JUST AIR IN THE TIRES, had less than 10,000 miles on them. My truck came home minus the 3 lift kit it went in their shop with. Getting to talk with Corporate was like pulling teeth any the saga continues. Stay tuned for additional saga episodes.

Fast, professional service from garage to front desk. Had to get out on a road trip and woke up to an underbody issue on my car - they got me right in, repaired and on my way.

Found and plugged a hole I ve had.

I had brake work done and they handed me the car back with a rattling noise in the rear. I brought the car back multiple times for them to figure it out. They couldnt. Fast forward two months, all of my brake pads needed replacement again due to incorrect installation and the wrong pads for my car being installed. If you need tire work this place is fine I wouldnt bring your car there for anything else.

Ryan was fantastic. Got me in and my tires were on in an hour. Great service and very friendly. Highly recommend!

Got 4 new tires from here. 2 of them only lasted 15,000 miles until the tread wore out and I was not offered warranty of course I didn t find this out until I had to get them replaced at another Mavis site. I do not recommend like, at all.
