Auto wouldn t start and was towed to D&S. The bolts on the starter were loose, they were tightened and starter was tested and I was back on the road within hours. I highly recommend D&S

Good mechanics but they tack on a diagnostic fee , which can range from $78 on up. I ll go elsewhere next time I need auto repair.

I m guessing maybe this place doesn t like taking new customers and likes to stick with the old ones. I called needing a subframe done on my grandmothers car and I was told no we don t do that here . So I m guessing the mechanic shop doesn t do work on cars?? Idk he didn t seem pleasant to deal with on the phone anyways

We decided to come here because they gave us a decent quote.. after getting there we needed more done then we thought.. we were already there so we decided to just trust them and go with it.. they informed us that after the services were done our truck would be 100% good to go when we picked the truck up after about 40 miles it broke down.. we towed it back to them and now we re being quoted another 3,500.. we will take it else where and will not work with them again.

My sister had her car fixed here and they broke the oil filter cap,charged her 59.00 $ and also labor,it was only for inspection and oil change 172.00 !!!

Great mechanics, Ive done business with D+S many times and have never had a problem they didnt solve the first time and at more than reasonable rates.

This guy is really nothing more than a fat piece of garbage. His signature line is there is nothint wrong yet he knows fully well there is and he knowingly endangers his customers lives. My favorite was when I dropped my vehicle off with a full tank and came back to pick it up almost on E. Only 15 miles on the tachometer. What a piece of scum.

Found this service on Google Maps, from the phone call to the pickup of the vehicle was everything I expected, its so hard to find an honest mechanic and I was skeptical at first but their great customer service, and very reasonably priced experience change my mind and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were family operated. Highly recommend these great people for your automotive needs if your near Cohoes, Latham or Watervliet, NY.

Dave and his team are the best! I own a company that depends heavily on our vehicles and D&S has gotten us out of a bind on many occasions. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and do great work. They are one of the few smaller shops that will even work on diesels. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a reliable mechanic!

Great group of guys.

Had my brake line fixed on my slammed Honda. Told me I had a year warranty with my brake line just to tell me it was void after 2 months. Then they charged me $50 just to talking. Sometimes spending more money isn t a bad thing.

Do not bring your vehicle here i had the worst auto experience dealing with these incompetent scammers. I brought my car in here because i couldnt get my brakes to bleed. They said it was my master cylinder that needed replacement. My car was sitting in the shop for 3 weeks. They are very over priced thry charged me over 500$ for a master cylinder and brake fluid and when i got my car about a week later i had no brake pressure and the petal went all the went all the floor. They recommend that i have all types of other work done to my car and never fixed the problem i had to begin with. They refused to give me my money back and were very rude and unprofessional. When i brought my car back they wanted to charge me 400$ just to replace a rear caliper. These people are real scumbags and dont care about their customers. Stay away from this shady shop at all costs unless you want to be taken advantage of. After i left there i brought my car to Mavis in colonie and they did the whole job in less then an hr for much less.
